  • what does it run on?

  • i always wonder, how the hack you make such these things, i need it for a model of mine thats way too havy to drive with electrick motors

  • superlube :D

  • sounds like a v8

  • sounds soo cool :D

  • whats the heaviest thing it pulled?

  • does it produce usable power?

  • Yep. That's the whole point. Watch my other videos.

  • Yeah, I saw it 2 min after I posted the comment:P Cool!

  • thanks so much for the link

im sorry we couldnt do business together but could you possibly give me a parts list for the V8

  • I don't have one.

  • Could you tell me where you got all the parts for this? Also if you could show how to build this. Thanks. Oh and would you like to build me one and I would buy it off of you?

  • I am selling them on w w w . L P E p o w e r . c o m (without spaces). The engines i sell there are even better and run much smoother than this one, and are more powerfull.

  • OMG $500 dude thats really expensive. Is it already built or a kit. Cause I would pay about $150 for a kit.

  • It comes preassembled and set up. 150 just about covers material cost, without the labor needed to modify the switches, cylinders, make the tubing, assemble the engine...

  • could i possibly buy the parts from you. just the parts, unmodified and unassembled

  • No. I don't sell parts. I need them for the costumer engines. Besides, without instructions, which i don't offer, they're useless. But you can buy parts individually on w w w . bricklink . c o m (without spaces).

  • thats really expensive and people say that ps3 is expensive

  • sick as usual, keep it up!

  • Are the tubes and power source made by lego, or fabricated yourself? Have you tried raising the gear ratio and changing the setup so more than one cylinders go off at once?

Very cool engine, I'd love to see that with a drivetrain and a pair of wheels.

  • Power source is a normal workshop compressor.

If you want to watch the engine in a car, check my other videos. Also check the videos i have on the LPEpower chanel.

  • thats awesome that imagine lego cars racin round house with them in em animals would be goin nuts haha :)

  • put your finger in it i dare ya! haha nice engine btw :D

  • This is an evil genius at work!!

  • At the beginning it sounded more like it was at 3000rpm, but whatever, just my opinion, nice job!

  • at around 1:04 It sounds exactly like a v8 idling. ...I guess that's because that's what it is.

  • It does doesn't it...Sounds way cool. :)

  • WOW. .. maybe you could shoot a video of your box of legos.. that would be as exciting.. Up the air pressure and film it exploding dude.. then you have a video!

  • Hi, I was wondering perhaps if I could have a parts list and/or instructions. Thanks.

  • Hi, Do you have a parts list for one of the v8 engines?

Also are there any kits for them?

  • when you first start it the meter said 1700RPM

  • Yeah, but that was just a short burst. It doesn't count. Check the 1940 rpm v6.

  • I understand. By the way, I seen that video its cool. Are those kits you can buy?

  • Not yet. I will soon have a webshop. Selling inline engines at the beginning.

  • fuck the recession, I'd buy it.

  • sounds quite like a deisel, now that is a sweet v8.

  • Make a air powered engine hooked up to a 250 psi pump.

  • where did you get that motor

  • He made it

  • i'm sorry it felt like the air was coming out of the black part of the switch but it was leaking out of a hole in my tube right next to the swtitch

  • i was building your inline 4 and making it into a inline 2. i cut off two mm of the switch and when ever you switch it to one side all the air leaks out the switch... Do you know how to fix it? please reply

  • Isn't that what the switch is supposed to do? If you switch it, all the air comming into it will go to one of the exhausts, which are connected to the cilynders, and so providing power to the cilynders...

  • wow dude! amazing! does that thing have oil or any lubrication cuz if you wanna break the 4000rpm line then that will need some lube or it will catch fire!

  • on the low RPM it sounds like a diesel engine ;D

  • LOL

sounds like our VW its a 4 cyld diesel with a turbo its sexeh :o

Its soooo cool i want one!

  • i want one... is this air powered?

  • im not really sure how these work but im sure they operate on the same principles of a real internal combustion engine...try deceasing the stroke of the crank or the distance which the piston travels. Alot of moving mass absorbs energy but generates alot of torque. Since you want more revs shorten the stroke...alot of high revving race engines are built in the same way

  • The mass of all the moving parts here is very small. The key to faster revs are the opening times of the switches.

  • do you use the regular switches? because they're hard to push???

  • I use modified regular switches.

  • what rpm r u trying to break with a lego v8?

very nice engine by the way i love seeing all the new creations you come up with, cant wait for more videos. happy building :D

  • 4000 rpms

  • How many bars your cool motor takes? How many bars is needed to broke your V8?

  • man i wish that i had one. :(

  • Hmm, would if hurt if you stuck your finger between the piston? :D

  • Where's the "This is a fake, it's obviously made of lego blocks!" comment?

  • Nicjasno do you know where i can buy like special pieces of lego i just need some to make your engine

  • Yes. It's going to be in the engine bay of my newest model.

  • and whats this model going to be?

  • Why do you say it isn't good enough? Is it intended to power something?

  • It's not actually. I used some silicon lubricant, but it probably wore off.

  • How is it lubricated?

  • Holy shit thats crazy!!!

  • Awesome. Almost sounds like a small diesel engine.

  • This is not a double cam setup. It's pushrod.

  • This is frigging amazing. You've inspired me to dig out my old Mindstorms (RCX 1.0) set from my basement.
