  • omg omg :D

  • why was ever body bald

  • john stewart is the best green lantern hands down

even in one comic when he was using the green lantern powers to fix a machine and all the green lantern's were watching him, one big gray green lantern said " i don't really care about being a green lantern but when i see John Stewart at work, even I'm in awe" and the whole ENTIRE crowd agreed

and he tapped the ass of both Vixen and Hawkgirl, with Hawkgirl always getting jealous over him

    John Stewart FTW

  • god he's so fuckin fine

  • Great, now I have to find @133tm4n comment

  • VAN WILDER CORPS!

  • Comment removed

  • The Red Lantern and Black Lantern corps are cooler.

  • wtf... i just watched 4 videos of ppl reciting the latern's oath and it just lost meaning to it. :(

once you hear it alot, it kinda sounds like a 6 year old made up the words

  • John Stewart is clearly the best not only because his character is about 10 times more dynamic than Hal Jordan but he also gets him some hot alien bird lady ass.

    Nuff said

  • @ryuuzaki13215 i agree. they should have alan scott apear too. but they wont because theyre not real GLC members.

  • not hating its honest to god truth the movie could had been better mark strong way better actor then him plus john is still better then hal

  • @ryuuzaki13215 Jade is never mentioned because she isnt REALLY a ring slinger now is she? She just inhereted the magic powers from her father Alan.

  • i agree Ryan Reynolds sucked monkey balls black green lantern john Stewart is better when he says the oath Ryan Reynolds didn't say it with enough feeling yup it was alright movie wasnt the best and mark strong good shit and Ryan Reynolds shouldnt be a super hero at all

  • @thlvking -rolls eyes- i guess haters gonna hate.

  • I like Hal and John, and Jade wouldve been cool if he got a mention. hell I liked the movie alot I thought it was well put together, it wasnt fantastic, but it was well worth it. Ryan Reynolds portrayed a great character in this. Anyone who think Ryan/Hal was a bad pair **** off. John is my childhood GL though if it werent for him and the justice league, I wouldnt have known the green lantuern at all.

  • @ryuuzaki13215 no offence but you are wrong….ryan reynolds did well, even my grandma liked the movie lol

  • I liked the movie. Fuck you :D

  • Green Lantern movie sucked, ruined a awesome story, ruined the good name of Hal Jordan

  • People need to STOP mentioning John! He wasn't picked because most people don't give a shit about his character...hell most people don't know there is a John Stewart. So PLEASE just let it go! Hal Jordan was the right pick!

  • @theonlyalphamale No, Hal Jordan was the "WHITE" pick. I mean come on, all the MAJOR worldwide known DC Comics superheroes are caucasion. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Hawkman, etc. are ALL white. Couldn't they at least let a black man have this one. I understand the character was ORIGINALLY created for a "all white" audience over 50 years ago. But come on, its 2011. We've got a Black President, Women as CEO's and a Latino as the World's Richest Man. Its time for some changes.

  • @s1m0nfr33 He wasn't created for an "all white" audience. The character was white, Hal Jordan is the "best" Green Lantern in the comics, John Stewart was his substitute for the JLA when he was saving the universe and doing more important stuff. They only used John Stewart in the animated series because they felt that they didn't have enough black people, so technically he wasn't rejected from the movie because he was black, he was chosen for the show because he was black.

  • @MANIFESTATIONofDORK I beg to differ my friend. The truth of the matter is that characters like Green Lantern Hal Jordan were created by whites intended for whites and were void of any races of color stead for stereotypical caricatures. Now on another note, Hal Jordan being "The Best GL" is hogwash. He's just the star of the GLC or the main character. That DOESN'T constitute him being better than John Stewart, who was put in the JL show for his range of diversity and much awesomeness. Not color.

  • @jaundist Your being an ass....

John Stewart Green Lantern For The Win

    Beware His Might!!!

  • @theonlyalphamale Agreed, I mean the movies should start with Hal Jordan, as he was the 1st human lantern, John was just his fill in guy...

  • @7voya I think John was more than just a fill in guy, he has become one of the greatest Green Lantern's ever. You gotta realize that...

  • It's probably in one of these 233 comments, but he recited it wrong. it goes

    In the brightest day

    In the BLACKEST night

No evil shall escape my sight

Let those who worship evil's might

    Beware my power...GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!

  • @UghRochester I was talking about the person who mad this vid, the subtitle was wrong.

  • I wanted John Stewart to be the Green Lantern in this movie :/

  • man it's Blackest aint Darkest..

  • was that about as good as the Duck Dodgers oath? Why yes... yes it was. To bad this wasn't meant to be funny.

  • love the ronald jenkees song at the end

  • I think 'Thor' was about as good as it gets for this summer's super hero movies. 'Captain America' looks shaky & 'Green Lantern' looks like crap. They could have cast WAY BETTER for Hal Jordan than Ryan Reynolds, didn't need to put in a bimbo actress like Blake Lively for a Megan Fox like performance, & surely could have made a suit that wasn't CGI.

  • @igneous1011 as far as Marvel movies go i thought Thor was going to be a letdown. So as far as Cap goes.... we shall see. As far as Green Lantern goes... i haven't seen it yet... but i'm not even hyped for it. I'm not interested in it. And even the trailer just sets me off.

  • @TheMajinTrunks Yeah, I agree about the trailer. I get irritated every time I hear Reynolds' voice in it overacting on the oath. It's like they didn't even give a decent shot at the movie and just half-assed it.

  • who gives a fuck if the movie is about Hal Jordan,or Jon stewart...either way the movie is gonna kill thor and captain america as far as 2011 super hero movies are concearned. End of story. And since marvel's launching the avengers next year,DC should do JUstice league. Im just sayin.

  • @2m0rrownevapromised... actually, I've heard Thor pretty much kicked ass.

The Green Lantern movie looked cheesy as hell to me, despite the fact that I figured a movie about "Norse gods coming to Earth" would be ridiculous. Thor's character strengths were apparently preserved.

  • @ZettaiGARGattai well Thor was,in my opinion, boring. When you think of super hero movies, you think of the character's powers, and lots of action. Too much talking, and Love stories tend to not hold my attention for long..and thats pretty much what Thor was. On top of that, the villan was his own brother. If the movie's gonna drag on,at least fight something big and not of this world. Green lantern looks better.

  • If the trailer is any indication, this movie will be terrible. Mostly because Hal Jordan is the most boring Lantern.

They should have made it about John Stewart and they should have cast Isaiah Mustafa.

  • Ryan Reynolds (Hal Jordan): In brightest days, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship evils might, beware my power, Green Lantern's light.............

Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool): Yeah yeah yeah...............enough of your boring alien green club EYES ON ME!!!! xD

  • My favorite lantern is and will always be Hal Jordan. The most powerful green lantern. *Fact. Since the guy with superman's powers and the embodyment of green light in him is gone.* John would be my second favorite. Not the most powerful lantern but the most creative which makes him nearly match Hal's power on its own since he can think through what he makes better.

  • @Sandman382 Thats great that Hals your FAV, but John is the most powerful. His willpower frequently exceeds the power level of his ring. And Green Lanterns are all about willpower and creativity. John's imagination is second only to Kyle's because John is an architect and his constructs are like no other Lanterns. Thats why he's called The Masterbuilder. He's so powerful that he once tried to re-construct an entire planet but like I said before this was more than his ring could handle.

  • @Sandman382 Hal is pretty powerful too, but if you want to be fair....I'd say that their actually about even. Being that Hal was the embodiment of the green energy and all. But John will ALWAYS be my FAV and the best Green Lantern. Simply because he's more interesting than Hal and tends to be more unpopular a character which makes me want to root for him and see him grow stronger as a whole. But you can't deny that both Green Lanterns plus Guy and Kyle are awesome. Each in their own right.

  • @s1m0nfr33, you know if you want to debate comic book characters seriously there's a forum called Comic Book Resources - Rumbles Section specifically designed for intelligent comic book character debate, at least in the "Rumbles" category. They cover a lot more than comic books, but comic books is the progenitor.

  • I am gonna go with Jordan, even if I do like Stewart

  • I like John.....

  • I like Hal....

  • Hal Jordan is by far the greatest GREEN LANTERN OF THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, and all the rest suck.

  • @Zerohero52 All the GL had some pretty badass moment's. One isn't really better than another..

  • @Zerohero52... yeah... if you're into Hal Jordan I suppose. Fanboy. :)

  • nice

  • the green lantern universe is so much bigger than ppl think when you start reading the comics it wasnt just about justice league, green lantern had his own thing going on fighting with the red lanterns, the orange lanterns and of course the sinestro wars and blackest night

  • whenever i recite the oath i always shout Green Lanterns Light! gives it more of an impact.

  • Why are people arguing over who's the best Green Lantern. To me there really is no best. Because there are too many Green Lantern's and they are a police force. So people calm down already and lets enjoy the fact that there is finally a Green Lantern movie on the way!!! Besides my favorite is John Stewart and then Guy Gardner (because he's such an ass lol) but I love 'em all.

  • I realize my point of view is not "popular" with most of society's beliefs as well as Hollywood's....but i will not apologize for it.

  • *- HAS

  • Hollywood has no ethics....they choose an actor who has has played filthy, perverted characters in most of his movies to "portray"a superhero who stands for Righteousness & Truth....who casted this?!?!They should of hired Michael W.Smith for a first time debut-at least he LIVES what he preaches....

  • @oLdSkOoLkisS ...you know he's an actor, right? They get paid to pretend to be different people. Ryan Reynolds isn't any of his characters, so they should have no effect on your opinion of him or his role in this movie.

I really hope you're just trollin'.

  • @oLdSkOoLkisS it's mostly due to the fact that ryan reynolds has such a resemblance to hal jordan that he would look like a great hal. Acting like Hal? we'll just have to find out whether he lived the part when the movie is released.

  • @oLdSkOoLkisS preaches? hes an actor bro let him act.. just becuase hes had some parts to play as characters that are a little raunchy doesnt mean himself as a person is the same way

  • I hope this movie's good and true to the characters cuz I'm looking forward to seeing it although I gotta say I wish they would of used the John Stewart character instead but hopefully he'll make a cameo appearance or something....wouldn't mind seeing Guy either!!!

And let's not forget Kyle....maybe in the sequels?!

  • what's up with all the bald eagles?

  • green lantern...or the greenest lantern

  • He says "[I]n BLACKEST night..." open your FUCKING EARS. Herp derp, Ryan Reynolds said it wrong cuz that's what the caption says herp a derp derp.

  • a thousand fangirls' legs just gave out

  • He would make a much better Kyle Rainer or Wally West as the flash I feel

  • @Warlock786 i think you hit the nail on the head hal jordan was a little bit more refined them but he would have been an absolutely perfect kyle rayner

  • IM SAYING THIS FOR ALL DEADPOOL FANS FUCK GREEN LANTERN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ih8numberinusernames

FUCK YOU AND DEADPOOL!!!! GREEN LANTERN IS THE BEST!!!!!!

  • @ooOmegaSupremeoo GREEN LANTERN CAN SHOVE THAT RING RIGHT UP HIS ASS SO GO FUCKING SUCK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • fuckin nerds

  • more DC live action movies!

  • I could just imagine Morgan Freeman saying the green lantern oath XD

  • @komando231 that would be cool, i would so see that

  • @leomuricy I don't care about this stupid movie, John Stewart's THE BEST GL!!!!

So deal with it!!! Besides technically the first would be Alan Scott

  • @sw1zzie Im sure the first one is Alan, but the first to actually be part of the troop was Hal.

By the way, Hal Jordan is the most important and the best Green Lantern ever, and John Stewart is just his substitute...

  • @leomuricy How is he the most important?!?! Because he was first?!?! That doesn't mean anything. I will agree with you on one thing, John Stewart is the substitute which in turn makes him the greatest simply because he's the underdog. And in any good story at any given time, the underdog is the one the always comes through in a clench in the end to save the day. Stewart doesn't get all the glory like Hal does but he makes for such a complex character which makes him that much more interesting...

  • @sw1zzie Hal is the first Green Lantern when it comes to the Green Lantern Corp. He is the best of the best of Human Lanterns

  • @begley2015 Now how is he the best exactly?! And stop using the excuse that he was first. Please just don't, because JS wasn't the first and he sure ain't the last doesn't make HJ better than him!! Hal is the face of the GLs and hes got the success and the popularity to boot, but John is the heart and soul of the GLs. A real soldier and the true grit thats the backbone of The Green Lantern Corps. And when the chips are down thats the kind of Green Lantern you want to have your back...THE BEST!!!

  • @sw1zzie He was the first that is why. Were there others that were good yes, in there own right, guy was good, John was good, and the others. But Hal the first GL human, so that has to count for something. Now if they ever make a JL movie then yes John should be the GL since he was in the comics and tv show. Hal would of done the same thing to help people so you cant say he would not, the ring would not have choosen him if he did not have the heart and soul to do the job

  • @begley2015 Once again because he was first doesn't make him the best!! I don't have anything against Hal but the man is just NOT as interesting or compelling a character as John. It DOES count that he was the first human GL and hes still the most famous of them all but I really believe John would of been a better candidate for the film as far as story and character developement goes. He's still the underdog and most humble of the human four. And btw Hal only got the ring by chance.

  • @sw1zzie Hal Jordan is considered to be the greatest because he has the most willpower and is utterly fearless and was the first human to become part of the Green Lantern Corps. Despite what u say it is true, watch Green Lantern first flight. He is considered the Man with No Fear! One of the first to resist the Yellow Impurity! He was fast in learning and became a top-teir lantern in no time.

  • @begley2015 Here are the FACTS not my opinions!!

John has the most willpower of any GL ever, not Hal.

Although Hal is considered the man with no fear,

he was not the first to resist the anti-matter energy (yellow impurity).

John was the first mortal to ever become a Guardian and is still known as the Master Builder.

Hal was not the only Lantern to adapt fast and become a top-tier at the position of Green Lantern.

Hal is a great GL wise and quick thinking,

But John is strong, dedicated and fast.

  • @sw1zzie Since he was the first Earth Green Lantern. Without him, Earth would never have had one. AND also a founding member of the Justice freaking League of America! His imagination is INCREDIBLE! I mean, he is fast and smart about his battle tactics. John is good as he was Hals replacement when he choose love over the ring.

  • @begley2015 he wan't the first there were 2 before him

  • @0captainawesome0 What???? Hal is the first GL, to be a part of the GL Corp

  • @begley2015 One again your incorrect, Abin Sur was earth's GL before Hal. Earth still would of had a human GL, it just would of been Guy Gardner and of course eventually John and Kyle. But yes he WAS a founding member of JL yet his imagination is not as keen as say Kyle Rayner's or as precise as John Stewart's. Hal's intelligence, speed and battle tatics are impecable but overall he comes up short against John as Hal knew John was the only one who could take his place when he retired for love.

  • @sw1zzie Abin Sur was the Green Lantern of the Space Sector 2814 which included earth, Hal was the first EARTH GREEN LANTERN as Abin Sur was not born on earth. While he has visited earth many time & at 1 point even teamed up with a ancestor of Hal Jordan's 2 battle an alien named Traitor. He was first & 4most not a lone protector of earth, every Human GL while they protected Sector 2814 they protects the earth a little more than the whole sector, take John, he is always on earth or JLA station.

  • @begley2015 Not really, John has been posted in places other than earth as in the Cosmic Odyssey series and Mosaic World becoming a Guardian there, just to name a few. And even though Hal Jordan had been the lone protector of Sector 2814 before any other human GL, Abin Sur was first. Though Abin didn't make earth his primary base as most of the human GLs did. Hal may have been the first Earth GL and Abin may have fought ancient earth villians but when Hal was off his game Stewart stepped in.

  • @sw1zzie yes and so has kyle, that was my point that the human GL's made earth their FOB (Forward Operating Base) yes I know that Abin was first to protect 2814. One thing John has up on Hal is he did not destroy Oa

  • John has a lot of things up on Hal but the destruction of Oa shouldn't be one of them. Because thats considered a low blow towards a follow GL and John doesn't deal in underhanded things as he too has had his faults. Like unfortunately failing to protect the Mosiac World against a malevolent Hal when he became Parallax or most horribly failing to protect the planet Xanshi against an avatar of the anti-equation which lead to its destruction. But nevertheless I agree with you.

  • @begley2015 If Hal had been any furthur away people like yourself would all be talking about how great Guy is and how HE was the first!! Or even Kyle but that wouldn't of happened with John because well he's black and we ALL know that America wasn't ready for anything like that!!! Thats one of the reasons I love JS so much. He's the minority of the four human GLs and he has to fight that much harder because of it. He's played back-up for ALL the others and he's never let them down.

  • @sw1zzie Hey I love JS as a GL, and to be honest if their were a fight with Hal and Him, I say John will win hands down. I love Static Shock so I love black superheros, it is just most heros r white, I would not want a black batman or superman, not because I dont like black but because those characters were created white and the worlds knows them as white. I loved how they made The Martian man hunter black in Smallville, that was great

  • @begley2015 So its ok for blacks to portray martian or alien characters but not versions of major white characters?! WOW. Well black and white superheroes are both great within their own rights as I'm a huge fan of both, like yourself I too love Static Shock and others. But concerning GL your finally correct- its no contest, John would totally beat Hal in a 1 on 1 drag out fight!!! Contrary to what you think I believe superheroes are bigger than color and any kind, black or white would be great.

  • @sw1zzie Just to let you know Jordan objected after seeing that Stewart had a belligerent attitude to authority figures. Black Characters if created from the start are fine man, but really do you really want to see a black superman or batman. Now a different version is fine but the main man no sorry that cant be. I love the movie version of Nick Fury, I am ok with him being black. But there are certain characters that have been known to be white for so long that you cant just change them now.

  • @begley2015 Hal objected to John at first, but changed his mind when he saw how valuable Stewart was to the GLC. And yes! I would LOVE to see a black Batman or Superman or Wonder Woman. Of course these characters were made originally for an ALL WHITE audience but its 2011 for Christ Sakes!!! I think its been time that we think a little out of the box. If we are truely to claim we live in an equal society we should make that so in everything we do including the image of greatest super-heroes.

  • @begley2015 I love the fact that they made NIck Fury black!! But they only have touched on this change with mid-level characters like him. Any and ever child in the world knows who the big 3 of DC are Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman, esp. Supes!!! I think it would be fair to say that people identify with those they can recognize visually. Every child who isn't white would love to see a Superman of their own race not a knock-off like for instance Steel. (Although I like Steel) But the real deal.

  • @begley2015 So bring on the white version of The Black Panther, Storm or Balde it would be interesting but not like seeing Supes, Bats or WW simply because these characters are more iconic and more worldwide known and its time to see where we could go with that. The only ones that should be afraid of this are peopel who are afraid of change. So like I said change the black superheroes white or whatever just so long as it works the other way around with the same depth and respect as the originals

  • @sw1zzie Like I said they all have their weakness's. Hal has his faults as he can let his emotions get the best of him, Guy is a hot head and in my opinion sucked as the green lantern, Kyle was a very creative GL, and John has a military background (like Hal but Hal is Air Force) John is not. John is able to keep his emotions in check and is a by the book kind of guy as Hal not so much, yes his will power is unmatched, the only one that could come close is Hal.

  • @begley2015 Well thats the hearts of great characters in general, thats what keeps them grounded and make them stupendous superheroes. The real pain they have bared that we all can relate to. Hal was Air Force whom are not very physical and John was Marines whom are very physical. But Guy will always fall short because of his temper and Kyle will always be most creative because of his youthful spirit. But yes Hal's prowess is unmatched and the only one that can come close is John Stewart.

  • @sw1zzie And if u want to get really tech about the GL's Hal actually was the the first human

  • Hal was the first human Green Lantern in the Green Lantern Corps. to appear in the comics originally, but "technically" through latter writings other humans like Jong Li, Waverly Sayre and even Daniel Young and Donna parker were earlier human Green Lanterns before Hal.

  • @sw1zzie So true lol. So lets just say with the power rings being the same they would end in a draw, they can team up and kick klyes and guys ass lol

  • @begley2015 Well its hard to say that they would end in a draw lol because even though the rings power are all even its the will to use them, the knowledge when using them and the intuitive imagination that it takes a Green Lantern to possess while there used that ultimately counts. But I agree with you my friend, Hal Jordan and John Stewart would probably beat Guy Gardner's and Kyle Rayner's ass from Metropolis to Oa back to Gotham City!!!

  • @sw1zzie O come on lol I was trying to find a way out this converse lol. If you want to get down to basics when John when Hal retired knew nothing about how to control the ring, and was a novice. Hal could of kicked his butt there and then

  • @begley2015 Trying to find a way out of the converse?! LOL. I'll say this, Hal couldn't beat John now and he wouldn't of been able to beat John then. Novice or not. Simply because John is no lightweight or pushover with or without the ring. The Guardians chose John Stewart because they saw the unlimited potential in him and Hal picked John as his replacement because he knew nobody else could do it. Now I don't think Hal would wanna get on John's badside or he'd have to be shown who's the real GL

  • @sw1zzie O but its fun lol but ok

Hal Jordan Pros: Called "the greatest Green Lantern of them all" by his fellow members of the Green Lantern Corps, Silver Age GL Hal Jordan was a founder member of the Justice League of America and helped save the universe during the Crisis of Infinite Earths after being chosen as one of the few fearless men on the planet.

  • @begley2015 Funfacts and interesting lol, yet even though Golden Age Green Lantern was initially first to use the name it was an re-imagining of the mythos with the creation of a Green Lantern Corps. and (the one who would lead them all as the greatest of them all) a man named Harold "Hal" Jordan that most people in time would come to love. But eventually with the creation of other human GLs that would take his place at certain points gaining their own popularity this began to change....

  • @sw1zzie Agreed, I love all GL minus Guy as he actually thought he could go head to head with Batman (no power ring used). Hal was just one of many Great GLS, and I am sure they have many more to come.

  • @begley2015 Guy's not that bad. I mean you have to admire a man who stands up to Batman and even though he got his ass kicked he still talks trash to Batman and taughts him from time to time. But that's why I like 'em. Like Dennis Leary, he's an asshole. (funny song by the way - if you haven't heard it, look it up and you'll see what I mean) esp. about Guy, it would make the perfect theme song for him. LOL :)

  • @sw1zzie Cons: Hal was also responsible for the destruction of the Corps twice; once by executing villain Sinestro (Don't worry, he got better) & tripping a failsafe that depowered all the heroes, and the second time by becoming possessed by Parallax, the insect god of fear and killing everyone around him. He's kind of a cosmic jinx that way.

  • @begley2015 ...Thus Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner were born. Of course there were many other alien Green Lantern's before them, between them and after them that would come along but none were as prominently featured or gathered as much attention as the human GLs except for maybe John Stewart. In the tone of the comics JS was always somewhat pushed to the back and seemed unappealing or down played as a character. This made him not very well liked among comicbook Green Lantern fans...

  • @sw1zzie They choose him for the Justice League and JLU to counter balance a almost all white cast. Orignally Hal was a co founder of the JLA, but I loved having John as JLA GL, The one thing most did not like about him was his Marine way of doing things. But that is why I like him, he has a get it done attitude and will never stop (but all heros are like that)

  • @begley2015 All heroes ARE like that and that's how you can tell the makings of a great superhero. But John, my friend - is in a class all his own. What I mean is he's a standout character amongst the sea of overall white characters that are already pretty well established and that's why I gotta thank the guys behind the animated series for making his image just that more recognizable. Besides getting things done is what Green Lantern John Stewart is all about.

  • @sw1zzie John Stewart Pros: He's the Green Lantern that all the kids know, thanks to his role in Cartoon Network's Justice League and Justice League Unlimited series, although his hard-ass-marine portrayal there is at odds with his thoughtful architect comic persona.

  • @begley2015 ...Compared to his colleuges, John was the back-up Green Lantern to ALL the other three Lanterns. Which seemed strange being that John came before Kyle Rayner although Rayner is a much more popular character than John as far as GL media goes. Its something that has really always bothered me as a Green Lantern fan. Being that JS is my favorite and he does make for a very complex character and we've seen him become in time much more interesting a GL than the other 3 human Lanterns....

  • @sw1zzie Agreed..... I love him to, so when they GL movie comes out and it will at some point depends on the success of the avengers. I will want to see him as the GL for that movie, we will have to wait because if the Hal GL movie is any good then they believe they might stay with that GL, just because hollywood hates to make changes if they dont need to. Long live John Stewart

  • @begley2015 You bet your ascot long live John Stewart!!!!! At first I wasn't thrilled with your constant ranting about John being the GL in a Justice League film but now that I think about it you might have a point. Since he isn't the GL in the upcoming film and they probably won't use him in the sequel because hardcore fans will opt for Guy or the more popular Kyle. But to see a story detailed upon John would be incredible in deed. Lets just hope for a JLA film with John at least for now.

  • @sw1zzie In the '90s, Stewart got his own series, Mosaic, which saw him have to build an international community made up of different alien races on an accidental patchwork planet; his reward for doing so successfully? Temporary godlike powers. Which was nice.

  • @begley2015 ...He still TODAY doesn't get the respect, attention or appeal as the others. But thanks to his incluson in the Justice League, Static Shock and Justice League Unlimited cartoons he has gotten much more popular to the media outside the comics and has been recognized much more so for his works and developement within the comics (although his comic and cartoon persona do clash). Which nevertheless shows John as the heart and soul of the Green Lanterns. Yet I feel JS has more to do...

  • @sw1zzie He has more to do he will shine soon enough. Hell if there was a GL appearance in smallville I would love to see JS more than all else

  • @begley2015 They should definitely do that on Smallville but I doubt that they would. It'd be Hal or Kyle. I just want John to get whats coming to him. I just want EVERYONE to see that he can be as great a GL as the others and not just a knockoff character as a means to have a"black" Green Lantern. I want John to be known and seen as a Green Lantern period, not the black guy who's Hal's back up or that black GL.

  • @sw1zzie John Cons: Well, that whole "being accidentally responsible for the destruction of a planet and its entire population" thing doesn't really go away that quickly. Also, superpowered alien cop architects? Who'd buy that?

  • @begley2015 ...As a Green Lantern and a person in general. Hal may have all the popularity while being regarded as the greatest of all Green Lanterns, Guy may be of a fantastic alien ancestry with a hardass attitude and Kyle might be known as the honor guard with the second most popularity after Hal.....But John has something all them wish they had. He's the most grounded, focused and realistic with an untapped potential and dedication unlike most superheroes. So no offense to the others...

  • @sw1zzie True on all but most fucused part, he is for the GLl stand point. But other heros like batman superman and others he is not. Batman is the most focused dc hero out there. Any non super powered hero, if they went head to head with batman they would lose including JS. Know with the ring I can see him roughing up batman even beating him. Now for the untapped potential of all the GL's ill agree with ya there.

  • @begley2015 I meant most focused as far as GLs go. But I gotta say I don't quite agree that John would lose against Batman in a fight. I'm not saying that because John's a tough black guy, I'm saying that because at any given time anything can happen. Batman 9 times outta 10 would win the fight but all I'm saying is that John Stewart wouldn't go down easy if he did lose. But if he won, which is more possible than you think that would be so badass of him.

  • @sw1zzie So Ill give ya for the fact that Hal destroyed Corps twice, where John didnt, and John was never taken over by Parallax, the insect god of fear and killed everyone around him. But he was accidentally responsible for the destruction of a planet and its entire population. But being a accident Ill give it to John as he did not mean to. and the marine background Ill admit hand to hand He would kick all the Kyle, Guys, and Hals asses.

  • @begley2015 ...But John Stewart is the underdog and backbone of the Green Lantern Corps. He's never been other Lanterns or turned by Parallax or Ion, but only a Guardian. So that makes him the truest of the Green Lanterns. Like I said John needs to do more as a GL and a person, meaning a unmeasured growth within the mythos of GL. Beyond that of any media, comic, cartoon or film. So its time for JS to get his due, so move over Hal. The title of Greatest of all GLs might go to someone else soon!!!

  • @sw1zzie Agreed there, but remember he did destroy a entire planet by accident. BIG Rookie mistake. He is the underdog and he does deserve more time out. They need to do something that only HE can take care of. Hal has the whole Parallax thing. Guy well is just Guy lol, and kyle did the whole lone GL till time was reversed and all GL back to existance. JS just needs something really heroic. Like hmm, having to take on the Red Lanterns or something that only his power can help fight againest

  • @begley2015 All heroes make mistakes and thats what makes them stronger in the long run. John is no different, although as far as them using him in a bigger way I'm all for that. Thats my whole point. He needs to do something epic on the scale of the others or more so to prove his worth. I like the Red Lanterns idea but I have an idea that he helps take down a force from the past and the future that feeds off the emotional spectrum and it takes a New Corps. to help him stop them from killing all

  • @sw1zzie Secong note and hopefully the last, i know if they had JS as the GL in the DC vs Marvel comic he would of kicked Silver Surfers ass

  • @begley2015 Maybe last, but most awesome and definitely agreed.

  • @sw1zzie ditto lol

  • @begley2015 same here lmao :D

  • @sw1zzie lotflmmfao

  • @begley2015 Well what can I say but rotmfflmmfao!!!!!!

  • Respond to this video...

First to be human GL Waverly Sayre of Earth (deceased), Daniel Young of Earth (temporary), Donna Parker of Earth (resigned), Charlie Vicker of Earth (deceased), after those u then have Hal followed by Guy, John, Kyle and so on

  • @begley2015 His willpower is the strongest of ANY GL ever!!! So much so that it exceeds the power of his ring. Hal even said John's constructs are like no others he's seen and are solid through and through and also said that John's the best flyer in the Green Lantern Corps. The GLC is a poilice force and John's the only one of the human four with a soldier's background. So either way you look at it, John's the man. But I guess its all about Hal Jordan. Since I love GL I'll watch the film anyways

  • @sw1zzie I dont deny that lol, like I said to make the first GL movie u do have to start with at the source, and Hal has done more than most realize just look him up. All the human GL bring a little something to the plate, but I agree with ya, I grew up watching the Justice League, so John is the first choice for that film and I will be pissed if they did Hal, Guy or the other GL that escapes me right now.

  • @begley2015 When making a film based on any popular material most people do go with the source usually based on the materials popularity with the fans or those they feel that the material will most likely appeal to. So in a way I can see why they would go with Hal Jordan Green Lantern. Even though all the other human GLs would of also done a job just as great as they will make Hal Do in the movie. Although I agree with YA, Hal could of been the GL in the JL film and John the GL in the GL movie.

  • @sw1zzie Besides I would not object to a new GL movie with John as a GL, but the very first GL movie ever has to be with the first GL to join the corp and that is Hal.

  • @begley2015 In retrospect, maybe your right. I still believe that JS would be best qualifyed but I'll leave it at that. I mean the films already done so what could us John Stewart fans do anyways.......

    However, do know this....

John Stewart Green Lantern Will ALWAYS Be The BEST GREEN LANTERN To Me

    ....AND....

To More People Than You Think!!!!!!!

  • @sw1zzie You're a fucking retard. Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner are the best Green Lanterns. Period.

  • @Sixx0809 Your the retard asshole cuz John's the best. Guy's cool, Kyle's okay and Hal's over-rated. And thats PERIOD.

  • @sw1zzie Yeah, he's the best if you like the Justice League cartoon, Hal Gordon's the best every other time.

  • @133tm4n Its Hal Jordan, and he's only being called the best because he's the most popular, next to Kyle maybe. But John's the Real Deal and the Truest Green Lantern and HE's The Best. The others just can't compare.

  • @sw1zzie

But Hal defeated the yellow impurity and was the first to overcome the weakness against yellow AND he also came back from the dead and defeated parallax..

  • @133tm4n And its not about the cartoon, John's the definition of what the Green Lantern Corps. is all about cuz unlike the other three he's ALWAYS been a Green Lantern and thats from the source material of the comics.

  • @sw1zzie The thing is, John Stewart came after Jordon, and Stewart basically came to the comics so there'd be an African-American superhero, Jordon came so there'd be a badass Green Lantern, Alan Scott's uniform was stupid looking.

  • @133tm4n John Stewart's introduction into the Green Lantern comics and his color or race had very little to do with there needing to be a black superhero as much as the Green Lantern's needed a true representation of what a real dedicated Green Lantern was all about. And Hal Jordan doesn't know the first thing about being a badass where as being a badass and real man is embedded in John Stewart's DNA. The fact that he came after Jordan is irrelevant and just here say.

  • @sw1zzie hate to ruin your thunder but Hal Jordan was the first lantern

John was made into a lantern by Hal because he needed some help with protecting a VIP

Kyle and Guy came after that

  • @clarbart Actually Hal was the second Green Lantern after Alan Scott.

  • @clarbart Not really, John was chosen specifically by the Guardians to be a second Green Lantern for the earth sector after Guy was injured. His first assignment was protecting a VIP who was really a bigot and was using his political status in the public view as a cover for his criminal activities. Hal originally didn't think John was a good fit for a Green Lantern. But John exposed the VIPs plot and gained Hal Jordan's respect and in time became one of the best if not the greatest GL ever....

  • @clarbart ....Hal may come first, but seconds always tend to be bigger and better. So keep your Harold. Make mine John Stewart. Second.....to NONE.

  • @sw1zzie i dont like Hal either dude

too much balls and not enough brains

i prefer Kyle(or obsidian if hes in the count)

  • @sw1zzie PLEASE! BARELY ANYBODY liked John until the cartoon eight years ago. Hal was ALWAYS the stronger and better of the two. There's a reason Hal is in the movie and not John: Because Hal made an impression and most people didn't even know John's character existed. Game over.

  • @theonlyalphamale I'm afraid the game is just beginning. Hal WAS NEVER the strongest and DEFINITELY NOT the better of the two. Hal is only in the movie because the producers at DC wanted to go with the origin Green Lantern story, granted you can't do that without Hal. Besides, fanboys like yourself would of had an enormous fit if anybody other than your precious Harold "Over-rated" Jordan would of been picked. Most modern kids today don't know who Hal is and they prefer John Stewart anyways.

  • @theonlyalphamale And as far as your John bashing goes, take your thumb out of your ass and jump for joy that a Green Lantern film was even made, no matter who gets to be the Lantern. But from what I've heard I'm glad they didn't put John in the movie anyways. Lots of BAD reviews. Its no Dark Knight or even Thor. So I guess putting Hal in it was the right move after all. Who knows?!...Maybe the next one WILL feature John, Guy or Kyle and be totally kick ass in action and storyline.

  • @sw1zzie John Stewart is such a wuss that if you put him in charge of watching ONE aquaman, the aquaman escapes.

If you don't believe me, check The Justice League Animated Series, S01E06

  • @jacklagriffe Obviously you underestimate the King of the Ocean's strength. Besides, you must have saw something different from what actually happened. Aquaman actually sucker punched John as he let his guard down when Aquaman turned away from him. And John still stood his ground with the Atlanteans later on in the episode. So maybe you need to re-check that episode again in its entirety. Nice try but you fail!!! John kicks ass!!!!!

  • @sw1zzie BS. He was only the real GL in the Justice League so theyd have a wider viewing population and to prevent it from being racist with just a bunch of white guys on the show. Hal Jordan is where its all at. He is the begining og GL and the ending of GL. Thats why they brought him back obviously. Thats also why they cast John off to be a Alpha Lantern in the comics. So Hal could rightfully be the GL of sector 2814

    DUH!
