  • Pretty sick!!

  • Actually, check the travel advisories. The US's is pretty vague, but Australia's report last year warned of intelligence of possible attacks on island resorts north of Mindanao (Siargao!). I don't want to scare off people, as my family would actually lose money with lost tourism, but PI really is a pirate/terrorist/guerilla paradise. And it's not just in the South. I was warned not to carry GPS when in Samar! That's because there seems to be a rise in "revolutionary" activities the last month.

  • $500 to know where it is? It's Mindanao, home of NPA & Abu Sayef guerrillas. Which weren't too much of a worry until last month when 200+ attacked foreign owned businesses not too far away. (Attacking in N. Mind was a shock to PI). If you go exploring, you better go with a local guide, as there's road blocks asking for "revolutionary taxes". And have taken up kidnapping foreigners for ransom. (Check the PI news, which btw only reports a small portion of terrrorist/guerialla attacks).

  • cats out of the bag boys

  • i know where it is. But since I don't want karma to kick me in the ass about my secret spot in another chain of islands. I won't say. But it's not like the place is consistent, as the uploader already admitted. And by posting that, that's lost money for his PI charter biz.So, you gotta know how bad it can get. So, beware! I have family in PI & it's such a shame the best spots aren't even coinsistant like ______. But go, explore, see for yourself. Just realize that it's not a fantasy wave park.

  • @racer7nevercrashes (for the record) I didn't operate a 'PI charter biz' for profit or out of necessity. It was a lifestyle choice for a couple of years to discover never before ridden breaks around the Philippines while getting some of the costs covered by pro-surfers and their sponsors. The multinational pro surfers would charge anything and provided prospective of other great waves around the world. We had epic adventures on dozens of trips from Borneo to Taiwan and it was worth it.

  • im sorry but it seems to be in Samar. sectionless point. correct me if im wrong scott.

  • This isn't the Philippines! Scott is drumming up business for his dwindling surf safari cruises in PI. He took those pics from Indo, with his buddy slam quoting his well rehearse lines. Looks like Indo.........No surf in PI, as per his posts. FicKleppines. No money either. Starting a yacht business in PI doesn't make sense, unless you are married to a Filipino. No money......

  • This isn't the Philippines!

  • I am so sick of all you faggots that want to keep shit only to themselves,I checked out a thousand spots on the tube that I will never surf, but like to enjoy watching...and you are the same faggots that invade the north shore every year so fuck off,you take the sport backwards

  • i would love it better if they were lefts...goofyfooted

  • @filipinofantasy it is even better in backside dude.

  • a surfer would bust at the sight of this

  • Looks like Baler Beach, Aurora province in northeast Philippines. That place is so sick, the best waves. Surfed this many times

  • Thats better than Indo ! + better food and cutier girls> check my vids

  • why nobody.. rippin that wave?...

  • thats is beautiful

  • OH MY GOD!

  • "Yer yer it looks a tad fat and slow for me, maybe 12-15 ' it could be fun but man you all know that a wave that perfect get's so fuckin boring you gotta be trippin to enjoy it !"

    Jaun Kemps

  • 5"5 timberline quad

  • 6"6 round pin be atch

  • The wave looks very fast - especially through the middle section. However, if you went frontside and really went into high gear from the drop, you could probably fly your ass off and make this wave. If you really look at it, its pretty intimidating - dark, super consistent, gnarly paddle, big, fast, and heavy. I doubt the cameraman and OH MY GOD dude even surfed...

  • he said indo cause he s comparing.. crazy.. no body out there

  • omg is right!

  • the dude exclaimed "indo".....but it rarely breaks like that in siargao...am i right??

  • you should have at least body surfed there, even if you didn't have boards

  • hell yeah

  • GREAT COMMENT !!!!

  • looks good but surfers beware, the Philippines is far, from everything and very inconsistent. It's not a safe bet for finding waves. Ever see the movie "Groundhog Day"? It's like that, day after day is the same: NO waves. NO waves. NO waves.

  • Very true. I've waited for months at a time for any kind of surf. Even during the right 'season' you can be drydocked for weeks. phlat. . fickleppines. . I've heard all the nicknames.

  • I was skunked for 30 days straight there. And of course the day after we left the waves came. The good news is, though you might not get waves there, you probably WILL get a girlfriend.

  • High 5 Lahar, Located in the town of San Narciso, at the Macolcol Rivermouth.

    have fun!

    have fun!

  • base on the volvanic sand maybe thats way up north in la union or zambalez

  • Sick pics!!

As long as none of the locations are mentioned (or hinted at) then no probs. I suspect that sicosmith is jealous of Countryman's lifestyle, as he angry and threatening even though Countryman has revealed nothing!!

  • nice

  • exposure of other destinations has only served to line western pockets - be discreet

  • this spot has been surfed by so few - what motivates you to broadcast it to the world ? let those who have kept quite for so long and who put in the effort enjoy the treasure. keep you mouth, camera and p.c. to yourself -

your idea of providing "a little stoke" is warped and only opens the gates to over exposure and totally screwing it up.......

  • There are literally thousands of places like this around the world and I have not said anything about where this is or even a general idea of how to get there.

  • I have had 8 years of mind blowing surf exploration on ths boat around the Philippines and 99% of time its only the guest on my boat that are in the water at these spots. Only the most adventurous will ever come here within the next decade and it seems like a terrible waste to have billions of perfect waves going unridden every year.

  • . . . I've also seen and surfed at least another 50 spots around Souteast Asia as good or better than this spot with no one ever out. I'm a retard when it come to remembering to take pictures- besides what makes you think I have (or will ever) share the best spots?

  • @scottkcountryman

50 spots + around south east asia? Are there 50 spots in the whole world, that are so long and break so perfect ?

  • I am so there, leaving in 2 weeks with my camera gear and a fat bank account to buy proprty and open a surf camp. I will send back more footage !!!!

  • With over 2000 miles of coastline and 7000 islnds you probably will never find this break but you will find 100 others. Enjoy the search.

  • Hi scott It was a joke I do travel and surf the coast of the P.I. since 1988. I was just in Siargo stayed at Patrics on the beach and meet Susan at Sagana,I had great waves and a eally good time I am going back in Jan. 08

    Aloha Ken

  • Fuck man!

    That was so awesome.

Put the camera down and get out there!

  • we did. ;-)

  • I just got back from PI in Oct... how old is this video... did the spot hold up for long or was it really a hit or miss w/ incoming typhoons? fantastic find bro, thnx for the clip!

  • what i want to know is if you found this spot and its so good, why would you show anyone? ever?

  • scottkcountryman! Shut Up! Enjoy the damn wave and shut up!

  • lol i think he's enjoying... just lookin at it. lol

  • Niiiice wave

    perfect line up

    keep secret broooow

    ;)

  • Consistency is really the question for this spot and It will be interesting to see if this spot can hold 10'+. The river is awesome with class 1-3 rapids running at least 20 miles up the canyon in what looks like dense jungle on either side.

  • He took about 20 but waited until we were 'close-up' on the inside section to shoot. Its unfortunate because both Gerry and I dropped into some double overhead peaks way out back and stalled into looooong barrels more than a couple of times. . . I'm still in shock.

  • The swell had dropped off a little but the high tide didn't seem to effect the quality of the wave. I asked a local if he'd ever seen surfers and he said once in 5 years. Then I asked him to take a couple of pictures of us with my camera phone while we were surfing.

  • Most of the rides were over 100m and required a long paddle back against a slight current to get to the peak. Despite the perfect surf we packed up the boards and went looking for other spots with more Northern exposure. After about 2 hours of searching we found three other very good waves that were more difficult to get to but no better or bigger than the first spot - so we headed back for a second late afternoon session at the river mouth.

  • River was cool and clean flowing from a deep Canyon with no people or farms on its banks as far as we could see upriver. Gerry and I agree its the best rivermouth we've ever surfed in the Philippines and maybe in the top five of all waves in the country.

  • The bottom in front of the river is sand and round river rocks of various sizes and there are more long sand bars north and south of the rivermouth. The left on the north side was equally perfect and breaking bigger. No coral and a great place for beginners and experts.

  • The wave is comparable to Rincon or the Point in Malibu. The peak is really well defined and you can get really long tube rides. The inside is fast but very makeable especially on the bigger sets of 4'+.

  • Gerry (owner of Sagana resort in Siargao) and I ventured out just to see what we could find. After a long journey and a two hour trek down a steep ravine we stepped out of the jungle and were shocked to see a perfect 3' set of five waves peeling 200m right along a sand bar. I pulled out my mobile phone a shot the video before scrambling to get out for maybe the best surf I've had years.

  • hey! do u know jerry and susan in of sagana resort? i know them also i was in cloud9...

    and i know sagana resort...

  • Two weeks ago there were a couple Typhoons in the area and so I spent a couple hours with Googlearth and my charts to pick high potential areas on the East coast to explore.

  • Nobody OUTTTTTT

  • Shut up and get amongst it!!! Don't tell anyone where it is.

  • HOLY SHIT that should be the name

  • Awesome! Does google earth show the break?

  • u guys r douches who cares if theres buildings in the bacjground most ppl in the philipines cant even afford food houses most ppl r that poor

  • Nice work, ignorant idiot. Keep your head in the sand.

  • hahaha. that's the most ignorant thing i've ever heard.

  • I love surfing...not very good, but I like it :-)

  • never ending tube...would have been better if it was a left though

  • What are the gps coordinates?

  • Latitude : 5.984 Longitude : 121.340

  • just kidding, you dont wanna go to these coordinates.

  • . . and I thought no one else knew about this place.

  • I dont think those are buildings, or at least I hope not. If this is really a newly discovered wave, that makes it so much cooler

  • wow. but i see buildings in background????

  • a good name for the wave: "oh my god" or "that shit". Perfecto!!!

  • holy shit soo good better have gone out fuuuck what you gonna name it!!

  • i get shivers watching this, those guys must not have brought boards or they would already be in the water!

  • thats insane! y isnt anyone out?

  • No one really gets in the water that much (other than those surf heavy places like Cloud 9). Not saying I know for sure, but that looks sorta like some places I lived back in 97-99.

Trust me, there are scores of places in the PI that light up like that anytime a typhoon comes around. Nice footage!

  • wow
