In 2 min between 3:25 - 5:25 I counted 13 GROSS errors in application. Folks, this is NOT how a Session is run.
The worst error is in the Comm Cycle. Even in Level ZERO (zero folks, thats the most basic) an auditor (person applying Scientology to another) is instructed to LISTEN (an auditor is one who listens) without evaluating, invalidating or INTERUPTING.

He must have been given a plum communications post by his brother until he quit Scientology in 2000, and that's where the archival footage opening the movie must have come from.

The closest he came to seeing action was that he was champing at the bit to take control of a ship during Navy exercises. So they tried him as captain. Only a very small percentage of material is confidential. You can go to any library and check out any number of books. You can buy online about 18,000 pages of material that is available to ANYONE.

While I normally don't have a bent to invalidate others, you got everything in your reply totally wrong.
First, I am not OSA and as I stated below, auditing is not about duress or punishment. It's about HELPING another to LOOK at his own existence so as to improve the conditions of his life.
But YOU wouldn't know anything about HELP. To you its all a guise to make money and control people. Your mistaken, but this video is DESIGNED to make people believe that.

In summary this video demo of an auditing session is DESIGNED to give others the impression that auditing is something like interrogation under duress, and its not.
IF Scientology were ACTUALLY like what is portrayed in this video and film then I would have a big problem with the "cult", too. But its NOT like what is portrayed and in that you are being decieved.
That is why in reality, its NOT a cult, its a religion. It guenuinely HELPS people. Its NOT perfect but its NOT an evil cult.

We can be more exact. An auditing session is experienced as an interrogation under duress etc etc. In fact anyone who wants to influence the result only has to hold the cans more or less firmly. The results are meaningless. But this doesn't matter. Your Auditor will always find a way to make you worry and pay MOAR.

In 2 min between 3:25 - 5:25 I counted 13 GROSS errors in application. Folks, this is NOT how a Session is run.
The worst error is in the Comm Cycle. Even in Level ZERO (zero folks, thats the most basic) an auditor (person applying Scientology to another) is instructed to LISTEN (an auditor is one who listens) without evaluating, invalidating or INTERUPTING.
Other errors are found in the handling of the meter and the use BAD control.
You don't use threats in auditing, its bad control.

L ron fancied himself as a navy ship captain. Unfortunately for him he was delusional and flunked out of the navy before completing training. When forming his religion, an integral part was to make his followers and friends such as (aliester crowley)believe he was a decorated naval captain which is something that has been adopted by all high ranking officials in COS to this day.

Brainwashing technique #1: The NO BLINK training routine in which the scientologist and the auditor sit in a chair and STARE at each other for 2 HOURS without blinking!
This is a KNOWN brainwashing technique as it induces hallucinations and a trance-like state in a person.
They have a similar technique called the NO SWALLOW which also induces a trance like state.
Scientology has DOZENS of training routines just like these two. If you don't believe me, look it up online.

Anyone who bothers to HONESTLY look into the history of Scientology will realize that the Church practices brainwashing techniques, pushes it's members into forced labor, and outright lies at the drop of the hat.
Not to mention it's Fair Game policy which aims to destroy critics, and Disconnect policy which destroys families. It is the epitome of pure evil.

uhhh buddy christianity is as substantiating as scientology. both core beliefs does not dwell in facts but rather in the blind faith of its followers. The mormons are another good example. a cult becomes a cult through sinister means but there is a very fine line between the definition of cult and religion. what if ones religious beliefs had to do with cult like rituals? would it than be considered a cult or a religion? your belief is as right as a scientologists belief in xenu. end.

Our mood is affected by chemicals in the brain, any idiot who's ever seen a biology book knows that. Psychology is the study of the mind, meaning people have looked at it and know what works, it wasn't just some guy saying LETS TRY THIS! Considering how long psychology has been around we have learnt a fair bit. It's not a conspiracy, it's a profession. And so long as cults don't fuck with it, people won't get depressed and die.
