my gosh, I read several times that Native American tribes raided other tribes and took slaves, like my ancestors who are said to have conducted "mourning raids" for captives, and vengeance also ! IMO, The lifestyle was violent, but some of the beliefs and traditions beat the modern ways.

Your reading post European Contact. What do you think Native Americans used slaves for they didn't have money. Tribes would go on raids on other tribes and kiddnap women and Children but not to use them as slaves i don't even think they had a world for slave in their Language. They would kidnap people from other tribes to replace a loved one or to adopt them into their tribe to make it bigger, but not to use as SLAVES! When a person was Adopted into a new tribe they did the same work as before.

Good point, I remember they integrated as members, not as slaves per se. But as a female, to be taken from my family as used as a breeding person, I might consider it as being taken against my will to participate in forced actions for others benefit. Sorta the same for a female.

That's why stronger often protect the weak which is why we got terms "altruism" and "ethics". Ethics is what separates humans from animals, but clearly many humans are still animals due to their lack of it.

And no matter how strong you are, weak one can often ruin you to the ground, which is happening constantly. Your statement would work in a jungle, but in developed countries, though it does it happens, it is often followed with hard consequences.

IMO there is validity in your points. I get frustrated in that we are born to be weak all our lives in a corporate-run, centralized society. How can we regain our individual strength when the law prohibits building a house, raising animals, and other such necessities? So we are automatically weak. Yech.
