  • The intro sounds really similar to "No Surprises" by Radiohead in my opinion.

  • @BeamishBloom No. Falling for you doesnt sounds like No surprises.

No surprises sounds like falling for u

  • @tuleli Fuck you, same thing

  • @tuleli Ok Computer was released in 1997. Pinkerton '96.

  • @TheBlindWires

Shut the fuck up OMG no one cares also Ok Computer is a better album than Pinkerton.

  • @ymechaie Jesus you're rude. I was just stating facts about when albums were released. I'm a bigger Radiohead fan than a weezer fan anyways, and I'd actually say pinkerton is better. However, your obscene language sincerely is out of place. I was trying to clear up confusion. Have a nice day.

  • @TheBlindWires

No because people like you are ruining the music by making it NOT fun with all your bullshit like "OMG Pinkerton came first No Surprises sounds like Falling for you." You're the same type of person who makes stupid ass Justin Bieber comments on videos, noone gives a shit.

  • @ymechaie My friend you're confused. I was trying to clear confusion between people. And you quoted me wrong, not once did i say that. I simply stated years albums were released. It could matter less to me which song came first because they're both incredible and i love them equally. As for leaving justin bieber comments, you can visit my channel and look at my recent comments, never once have i left such a message and that's rather presumptuous of you. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Beautiful song, amazing album. I named my pet axolotl Mrs Pinkerton after this album.

  • My favorite part of the entire Pinkerton album is 2:07-3:05 on this song.

  • I can't decide betweent pinkerton or raditude

  • @Boss5594 You're either trolling or the biggest fucking idiot on this planet.

  • my favorite line is "I've got a number of irrational fears that i'd like to share with you" so amazing!!!

  • @ArjanJpinkerton I love:

    "I can't believe how bad I suck, it's true

What could you possibly see in little ol' 3-chord me?

But it's true, you like me

    I like you too"

  • grunge

  • My favorite weezer song. Awesome.

  • Definetly the best Weezer album. just cuz the dfirst time i ever heard it was at the Aragon Ballroom in January doesn't mean i can't love it! i was there the second night when for the second set, this was the album they played, loved it!!!!!!! <3

  • so good!

  • im either gonna play this song or my name is jonas at a school concert, both good songs

  • That solo gives me goosebumps!

  • Stupid cute guy in my english class....being so cute....and distracting me.....making me feel so not smart and not cute. x.x My baby, I'm afraid I'm fallin' for you. <3

  • i wanna sing this to the guy i like. :]

  • This reminds me of The Pixies

  • Rivers Cuomo is one of the greatest songwriters ever. Love how he's so honest and a complete romanticist.

  • @lirvana2 He is probably the most underrated songwriter ever

  • love the beginning!

  • At that part where he's like "HOLY SWEET GOD DAAAAAAMN, you left your CELLO IN THE BASEMENT" I used to think he was saying Jell-O in the basement and i was like "DAMN! He sure likes jell-o...."

  • This is tagged emo because is admixture of 'emotional' Hardcore Punk/Post Hardcore/Melodic Hardcore/Whatever Hardcore and Indie Rock. Emo from 90's is non-ideological HC + Indie, examples are Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, Quicksand, Cap'n Jazz, American Football, Joan of Arc, Boy's Life, I Hate Myself, Braid, The Get Up Kids, Jimmy Eat World, Texas Is the Reason, Indian Summer and Samiam, just in present day [Fake] Emo is a Shitty Teeny alienated, empty and futile Pop punk. I love REAL Emo.

  • This is tagged emo because this is how emo used to be.

  • Dear Weezer,

I am Falling For You. <3

  • This song reminds me of the book, Norwegian Wood. I think more so because the beginning has Japanese in it. Anyway, this song kicks ass.

  • open this video, change the last link code to : 4lDVgCjTkLo

and you know weezer is plagiate

  • 4lDVgCjTkLo

weezer plagiate the boboho song, listen the intro melody falling for you, its same

weezer pinkerton out 1996 and boboho movie 1994

so weezer is plagiate, but i still love weezwer

  • ....I cried from the nostalgia when I heard this song for the first time in years (Last year). I remember listening to a few tracks from Pinkerton when I was 6...Oh god, how I wish I didn't waste my life listening to garabage and just stuck with Weezer.

  • i just found out that he says "get fat and old with you" and not "get fat and roll a doob"

  • love the guitar line as he says "glowing". that's just great writing. rock can't be done better than that.

  • The guitar noodle into the build at 2:27 is quite a moment.

  • This song perfectly captures that feeling of, well, falling for someone. "Holy sweet goddamn" indeed.

  • @samworthington123 i probably should've said pinkerton was emo, cause that's what i meant. i guess what it comes down to is what you think emo is. great music taste btw

  • best song ever!

  • Weezer was emo. that's not a bad thing, because emo was actually very good music before, now its classified as whiny, hair swooping, and screaming.

  • @masterh0merdrawer they still weren't emo. I agree emo was great, cap'n jazz, the get up kids, etc. But they still were certainly not emo.

  • @masterh0merdrawer Wisdom. :]

  • One of my favorite Weezer songs.

  • the intro sounds like Radiohead's No Surprises

  • @fede018 yea man..that's weird :o

I'm a Radiohead fan and yea it really does

  • @khpunkrock my mom said the same when i listen to the song in the car but com'on, it's just 3 string played on one chord.

  • @TheRaindrops yea .Both songs are amazing :)

  • @fede018

I always thought so too! I'm perfectly OK with that, as those are two of the finest rock songs ever written. :)

  • By far the best thing Weezer ever did.

  • Comment removed

  • thats the coolest picture ever.

  • rocio showed me the song. ^.^

  • @morrisocoolike

    lol morris

  • Comment removed

  • weird...i don't remember doing that

  • @kkiske09 Pinkerton is a emo album.. Sorry to say so. But it's true. Well yeah. The word has lost it's meaning. But well album is an EMO album. Plz don't hate me for telling you guys.

  • @oliverschou no it isn't. Its certainly not midwest emo, nor is it modern emo. You are totally wrong.

  • @kkiske09 Because back in the 90's emo was a Genre. not a style.

  • @ViRaLTiGeRps3 yeah! whatta bunch of ignoes, you know

  • @xXbhenzXx I know right lol

  • @kkiske09 Because Pinkerton IS emo. Emo has because a bad word because of how it got commercialized and crappy, but if done right (Pinkerton for example) there is nothing wrong with "emotional" music!

  • @kkiske09 coz Weezer used to be an emo in their second album

  • @kkiske09 it is a bit emotional.. but not in a gay way... like emo music...

  • @kkiske09 tagged emo because Weezer virtually defined emo.

  • @kkiske09

this album is considered the fore father of emo music in the music industry

  • Fucking love this song.

  • Dont care what others say, Weezer are one of my favourite band, (along with red hot chilis and foo fighters.)

I love this song at the moment, so much! And 'Only in Dreams'

    :]

  • oh my gosh me too yo! add the killers and nirvana and those are my top 5 favorite bands!

  • lol same

  • wooow red hot chili peppers is my favorite band, and foo fighters and the killers come in second place for me.

  • what does the girl say in the very beginning of this song?

  • i think it's french

  • naw.. i think its korean. lol

  • @seoulja4god

I can't hear it very well, but if anything, I'd think it's Japanese.

  • @Jackimole nooo trust me...i know exactly what shes saying.

  • @Jackimole It's Korean.

  • My favorite from Pinkerton~~

  • does anyone no what amp rivers uses in thes old albums?

  • you should be able to look it up on their website, they used to have a list of every guitar, amp, or mic they used for each song.

  • I belive marshall half stack.

  • Pinkerton is so good.

I think this is my favorite Weezer song.

  • holy sweet goddam you left your cello in the basement

haha such a good song, wish rivers still wrote cool songs like this

  • the beginning of the music reminds me spacehog with end "in the meantime"...

  • im screwed because im one of those people that association music with people..

Makes me think of this one girl..

Oh well, im here listening to it. So i still like it, but its melancholy =X

  • I'm the same way. You would wish the other person is listening to the same song and feels the way you do, right?

  • Comment removed

  • absolutely!

but i know she doesnt know weezer from her ass

    in the ground.

  • Hehehe. I know the feeling! :)

  • @MarlboroShinobi same here.

  • @MarlboroShinobi yeah, same here pal : /

  • @MarlboroShinobi Mmm...meloncholy

  • @MarlboroShinobi this album is kinda meant to work like that. At the end of the album your not really suppose to be all happy go lucky

  • @MarlboroShinobi you aren't alone mate

  • i wonder if this song is about that same girl in el scorcho that plays cello....probably

  • It was only a couple weeks ago how awesome I realized Weezer is. They're my favorite band now.

  • same for me x)

one of the greatests bands ever

  • thats how weezer works.

  • Pinkerton is the best Weezer album.

  • this is true

  • @heyface30000 blue album is a tiny bit better

  • @heyface30000 pshh hell yeah

  • All Weezer albums are great. Doesn't matter what they do, as long as it's got the right attitude behind it.

  • holy sweet fuck

  • FAVORITE ALBUM I LOVE ALL THE SONGS ONE THIS ALBUM!!! i LOVE THIS SONG AND ALL OF THERE OTHERS"!! RIVERS ALWAYS ROCKES HARD! this album has sooooo much heart

  • I'm shakin at your touch! I like you way too muuuchhh!!!!

  • Wow this song is Awesome! its my favourite song on Pinkerton besides Tired Of Sex!!

  • DONT U EVER SAY WEEZER IS POP ROCK! =w=

  • 最高だ

  • I love this song!

  • i like old wezer way better im not sayin i dont like the red album but what happened 2 all of rivers solos n there more pop rock now

  • its a good song...not they r best but very good

  • pinkerton is def. weezers best album. i really like the red album i just don't like it matches up to any of their other realeses. maladroit was great too. another example of a great underrated album.

  • Yes Pinkerton is best... well Green Album is pretty OG for Weezer, it's their big break I'd say. The singles and EP are GREAT. Like Susanne, The Victor, Mansion of Cardboard... so much more.

  • I still think that Blue Album is the best, with Red right behind it.

  • i lie all the weezer albums in order that they were released. they just seemed to get a little worse after each cd, but i still love the band.

  • @guitarjoe93 Dude you got the wrong mentality towards Weezer and I'm glad that you love the band because I love to listen to them as well. Weezer doesn't get worse they just evolve. As does every great band in history. They roll with the times. Just compare Weezer's evolution from and to each album to how the Beatles evolved throughout their discography. Times change and Weezer knows this and that's why they will always remain a classic.

  • @headgasket55 I don't disagree that bands shouldn't evolve with the times, but when you have a semi-stoner/nerd rock post punk band like Weezer was on their first album and then just recently an album like Raditude is relased, where they're having Lil Wayne sing on songs just kinda makes me loose faith. Their lyrics seemed to loose some luster on the Red Album too. For instance, listen to Only In Dreams and Lullaby for Wayne from Blue, and then listen to Everybody Get Dangerous and Troublemaker

  • @headgasket55 I'm just saying that I love what the band gave music and myself, but what they are currently putting out isn't what I've come to know and love of Weezer. Also, they're not making an impact like they used to. Take Pinkerton. While I may not like emo, that album helped define that genre. It seems that everything after that isn't doing that kind of job that Pinkerton did.

  • @headgasket55 I respect that you like what they are putting out, but it saddens me that Songs From the Black Hole will never be the album that was imagined pre-Pinkerton

  • @headgasket55 oh yeah, you're gonna have to read these bottom up. Stupid text restrictions

  • yes Maladroit is one of the best

  • good tune

  • possibly my fav weezer song next to say it aint so, el scorcho and only in dreams

  • i loves dis song. i wish i had found out about it a lot earlier

  • I'm thinkin' that its more than a boy meets girl love story. It sounds like an album about Rivers' frustrated sex life...

  • i grew into it =D i love it

  • ya its kinda like a guy likes girl kinda thing cause if you listen to i think number 5 of the album its another kinda song like dis but not like rockish more loveish lol

  • is it just me or does Pinkerton seem to have some concept album thign going on? x.x;

  • Pinkerton is work of art. In response to lethalsponge, i wouldnt call pinkerton a concept album, but its about as close as you can get. All of the songs are related to love/feeling alone in some way. If you havent heard the whole thing through in one sitting i seriously recommend it.

  • i love weezer! and like all my friends say this is one of there favorite songs... but i dont like it that much =/ wuts wrong with me?!

  • WHAT.... IS... WRONG with YOU?

  • Are you alright?

  • um... write a fanfic...

  • to all who haven't heard all of pinkerton...do so right now. one of the greatest albums of the 90s

  • wait, since when is pussy a bad thing?

  • I think most people could deal with "tits" as being synonymous with "cool" as slang... but pussy already has its own connotation... you've failed at redefining a word.

  • Oh no you didn't!!

  • I remember buying this record on cassette despite the poor reviews by Rolling Stone and other reviews. I thought it was a great sophmore release. Its funny b/c a couple years ago the same magazine that gave it such poor marks (R.S) back in '96 re-reviewed it and gave it 5 stars!!!! Biotches.

  • Yeah they did the same thing with Blind Melon's "Soup"(my favourite album).

  • Oh THIS is the song Pink Triangle leads into. See I don't own the album and I could never find the MP3. This song's amazing though!

  • i love it!

  • FuturMFaulk: "This is EASILY the best Weezer album to date. "

    i agree.

  • o.o this song is so lovely!!:(

  • man i love this song. it sounds kinda punkish and angsty but keeps the weezer sound

  • this song is basically about love and it is also awesome!

  • Agreeing with everyone who thinks this is the best song from the best album!

  • I'm just going to listen to this, and pretend the red album never happened...

  • Red album was weird at first , but as i listened to it, it got better...im starting to love it!

  • This is EASILY the best Weezer album to date.

  • I assume you meant along with Blue.

  • amazing song.

sounds so much like early pavement.

  • I love pavement!

  • i love lamp

  • how could you even say that something like Perfect Situation surpasses a masterpiece like this..........

  • i don't understand why when this cd came out, the media was bashing it so much. this is probably my favorite cd on the album, and possibly my favorite weezer album altogether.

  • =W=

    god theyre amazing!

  • is this song a song from songs from the black hole????

    just wondering

    really good song

i wished i owned the cd

  • Pinkerton is by far their best album

  • weezer went from being amazing to so lame. pinkerton is a great album.

  • LEGEND.

i was dancing around to this in my lving room.

  • woooop i <3 weezer!!!!!!!!!!

  • rocks...

  • This may be the best Weezer song, but that's an incredibly tough call. No One Else from the blue Album usually tops my list, but it changes from week to week to be honest... <3 Weezer.

  • what? the best song is perfect situation

  • Perfect Situation is ok, but i think that Say it Ain't so or El Scorcho is their best song

  • eehhh im tired of perfect situation i love pork and beans or island in the sun my fav on this album is this song and el scorcho

  • this is the nicest song ever

not just nice though, really good too

    weezer = far too underrated
