  • you guys dont know. this happened in world war ll when japan invaded china. this all happened. ip man tought bruce lee. this guy is not an actor. he is donnie yen. he is a master in wing chun and different styles of kung fu. get ur facts right b4 u post all this bs about being fake

  • @1freaksin

this is a great movie but while the Japanese invaded and occupied parts of China before WWII, the real Ip Man was not out fighting Japanese Generals n such. Really like this movie but is only loosely based on fact.

  • @1freaksin yipman never fought against 10 japanese karate masters. i'm sure that and the gun shot were put into the film.

  • @TheEthanEdge the last guy knew he had no chance but getting his face punched in was probably better than what would've happened to him had he ran away like a coward.

  • Makes me wonder how the boxer even managed to hurt him on the second movie...

  • Thank you Netflix

  • Love that "Thunk" At the end.

  • Are you talking about the part where not all 10 of them take him at once, like real people would do?

  • @JohnnyWishbone85 1930s. Probably had something to do with some kinda Honorable fighting thing or someth8ing

  • At 0:40, he's thinking fuck...

  • Open this video, mute and pause at 00.00. Then open another tab and open- /watch?v=lAmsIYtyhcY -(The Prodigy - Warriors Dance (SLOF MAN dubstep remix) and pause at 00.00. Press play on the prodigy, then play the IP Man about 2-4 seconds later. if you get it just right... and it syncs up quite nicely :)

  • ...I think that last guy might actually be dead...

  • What was this from?

  • @TheTimmy4745 ip man

  • Here's an idea, how about actually trying to hit him when he's busy beating somebody to a pulp.

  • @Twigspeaker thye tried that, he just raped them, he took on 4 guys punching him at the same time, i think he can can handle more

  • Oh my tits... What a fuckin beast

  • 1:30 the guys like oh shit oh shit oh shit let me out of here

  • Black-belts in "Circling Menacingly"

  • Oh hey, look, it's a choreographed fight scene!

  • @JohnnyWishbone85 he actually did take on 10 people and most of the stuff here is true and wat he actually did is here, the actor trained in wing chun for this movie

  • SHIT SON!!!! Awesome!

  • At 1:22 JET GATLIN GUN!!!!

  • Just fucking tackle him you dumbfucks... standing around in the backround isn't helping when this guy is beating your friend to a pulp

  • They should make a UFC type league were going to the floor and grappling is not allowed. And I would like to see someone take on multiple people or a grizzly bear :)

  • @Pulpredemption He fought 4 at once at one point in the fight.

  • they attack him one at a time so it doesnt matter that theres 10 of them lol

  • @Pulpredemption

at most there would be 4 or 5 attacking him at once without bumping into eachother.

the numbers help because there's very little recovery time for the 1. but not all 10 would ever really be attacking at once.

  • Wha wha wha whoa

  • @mynameisman66 Chuck Norris never beat Bruce Lee because they never truly fought. Norris beat bruce lee in a movie so obviously not real but they never actually fought in a tournament or anything.

  • @coolpuff333 you guys mean the movie "Way of the Dragon"? Cause Bruce Lee wins in that one

  • Norris masturbate at this.. hahah

  • holy shit

  • You seem to forget this is based on a true story and this man trained the bad ass you all know as Bruce Lee!

  • lmfao

  • The 10 students and their Teacher are the ones who disliked this video

  • @duke0302 bwahaha that's funny

  • I stumbled upon this =D

  • STUMBLE!!! I love fighting scenes like this one!!!

  • general miura looks hispanic

  • MULTI-KILL! KILLING SPREE! DOMINATING! GOD-LIKE! LEGENDARY! DECAKILL!

  • @Darktician believe it or not he didnt fatally wound anyone he just snapped some limbs

  • @XItachiRyuX I think you missed the joke :/

  • @Darktician i got it man lol but tell me the most badasas part was at 1:21 total fuckin beatdown right

  • @XItachiRyuX Yeah lol, machine-gun fisted a dude into the floor. Guy got rocked.

  • @Darktician and at the end HEADHUNTER !

  • @0:39 i cried

  • WHO THE FUCK DISLIKE THIS :D

  • The multiple opponents waiting their turn argument comes up quite often and I do tend to agree its unrealistic.

What doesn't get brought up an awful lot though is stamina and fitness. If you have multiple opponents who are nearly as fit as you then how many of them do you think you can realistically fight and defeat before somebody does for you just because you are knackered !!!

  • @eggshell21

I don't think it's that unrealistic. It's not as though they trained how to work as a team to take out one person. That's huge factor right there. They got up and were expected to all take on one man and they weren't given time to craft a plan. That's a HUGE factor

Also, when you are diving in to attack you want to be careful not to hit your friends. Also, if you are a Jap and you don't know this guy do you really think it's going to be necessary to work together?

  • @eggshell21 They're not all going to charge in because they'd end up just hitting eachother, and as far as stamina goes, he really doesn't move around that much.

Plus you have to remember... it's a movie...

  • Yip man was a bad ass and I believe he actually did fight ten people. You gotta understand that martial arts isn't like what it used to be. Back then you had to fight to survive so I would only assume that these people were better fighters. And no matter how many people you fight there can only be so many people around you. What are they gonna do, jump over eachother to get to you or wait for an opening. I sat best fight scene ever. Thumbs up if you agree

  • @cmoneylovesgreen very true..now...WO YAO DA SHI GE!!!! (i want to fight 10!)

  • Ip Man was never forced from bourgeois idleness into work by the hardships of WW2 and never employed as a coolie in a colliery. He chose to work as a policeman before WW2 and continued until Communist disapproval of his wealth and political affiliations drove him into voluntary exile in Hong Kong. During the war, Ip Man did refuse to teach his martial arts to the military police which eventually forced him to flee Foshan and he certainly never had, let alone won, a duel with a Japanese general.

  • ZA MAŁO KRWI!!!!!!!!

  • If they added the mortal combat theme song to this it would be 100 times better

  • 0:47 I don't think you punched him enough. Hit him a couple more times to be sure.

  • Damn.

  • @venturecrew007 when there are that many people on one guy they could easily hit eachother

  • IP man is Bruce lee's master...no wonder!!!!

  • Its like a beautiful ballet of raging fists bloody noses broken bones and cauliflour ears

  • anyone know what movie this is from

  • @e2thaj79 the movie's just called "Ip Man"

  • 1:41- thought he was going for a stone cold stunner

  • i love the way he just stomps the first guys head

  • Very unrealistic. For one thing, the bad guys are very gentlemanly to not all attack him at once. For another, they still all have perfect unbroken skin and clean white gi's after having the shit beat out of them by this guy.

  • @VentureCrew007 Well if they aren't used to attacking in a large group they might just be staying back so they don't hit each other.

  • @VentureCrew007 but they try but he is so fast...impossible to touch the man....perfect fight

  • martial arts...so stupid, its like believing in ufos...mayweather would tear this guy to shreads with one arm and blindfolded because hes a real fighter. lets all just get past this godliness of martial choreographed dancing.

  • @MrSteelMagnolias and maywheather would get torn up by any mixed martial artist, he only knows one martial art.

What these guys do isnt considered martial arts.

  • @MrSteelMagnolias youre retarded " martial arts, so stupid, its like believing in ufos" first off its not like believing in ufos and second maywheather would get his shit fucked up if he fought a grandmaster like this guy this guy wasnt just any martial artist he was the guy who trained bruce lee this guy can throw one inch punches consecutively and still do tons of damage to you and plus maywheather wouldn't be able to hit him but this was choregraphed in the movie but this actually happened

  • @PrimoProFilms it isn't convenient it's honorable, they aren't in a street gang

  • @98Eric98 me too, because you thought that I also assume you stumbled to this video.

  • I like how they conveniently attack one by one. Don't get me wrong, though, this is very impressive, just that when I spar (which I don't break people's legs...) enemies attack all at the same time.

  • Effective if his name is Kenshiro

  • Man! At 1:40 I was totally hoping for a Stone Cold Stunner

  • you guys don't seem to get that this movie isn't meant to be some crazy action flick. its more akin to a documentary. This movie does re-enactments of the actual fights this man went through during this time period.

This is the man who trained Bruce Lee. His martial arts style was derived from the school this man created.

This fight isn't exaggerated or fake...in the way that it's mimicking what happened in the actual fight.

  • pure fighting movies are worse than action movies (making the impossible seem to be possible thru martial arts) -.-` watch something from jackie chan thats at least funny and it is actually possible to do.....

+HE WOULD HAVE RUN LIKE HELL -.-` think about it.......

  • @Troublemasta Why would he have run away from that fight? He requested to fight ten men, in order to avenge the death of his friend. He wasn't just randomly set upon by a bunch of Japanese dudes who just HAPPEN to be, you know, in a dojo, wearing Gis. "Think about it..."

  • get netflix, watch the whole movie, its worth it.

  • "machine gun blow"

  • @xTheDeathSaintx hahaha..like the SF ref..Dudley rocks!

  • Ok, another chinese nationalist movie.. If seen this "Japanese bad, Chinese good" far too often by now.

On the other hand, it's funny that the depiction of the Karate-guys does indeed portrait the weaknesses of karate (its forms are too strict, are not realistic).

  • I wish this shit was not fake.

  • if they had all attacked him at once from the beginning he would've lost

  • @trouter2000 no he wouldn't have because of the simple fact that an attack with that many people is hard to coordinate. he could simply make them hit each other if they all came at him at once.

  • It IS possible to defeat 10 men. We just have not yet seen a man who is THAT good.

  • 0:48 - 0:53 had a massage like that once.

  • Ahh Donnie yen fucking peoples shit up :D

  • 1:20 wooo dude hats crazy ip man is the man who train bruce lee thats crazy.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice movie. Donnie Yen was great. But hand-to-hand against 10 men is kind of impossible, I suppose. However, I heard of legends about samurai, competing with a naginata against many swordmen and succeeding... So, who knows? Some people are quite capeable...

  • @Sashman1234 Donnie Yen wasn't great in this movie he was EPIC.

  • @thebronzebat ok, sorry, you don't like those jokes.

  • All i hear is crack, crack, smack, smack....
