I loved the hell out of this movie, and your review. Everything about it was what a good disney tale should be! the characters were loveable (well.....except Dr Facilier....he was just plain evil :D), the music was wonderful and I don't regret making a fool of my 17 year old self in front of my friends and a group of terrified-looking children in the cinema.

It was like if "Cruella and Captain Hook got together" for Facilier and apparantly the villain can moonwalk. His look actually is like Proud Family because his supervising animator is Bruce Smith, who worked on also Bebe's Kids. Ray is no fly, he's a firefly which is related to a beetle. Yes it's kinda ironic for the destiny of Ray.

I saw the trailer when it first hit the web. And the first thought I had was, "How many offensive racial stereotypes can they cram into one movie?" This looks worse than Mulan.

Aladdin, the Little Mermaid and Hercules were my least favourite disney classics! :O hah! all three of them. Hmm, maybe I wont be seeing this film. that's odd, I never knew they all had the same director. However I completely agree that part of the disney magic is all the effort that's put into hand drawing them... gotta love the disney classics.

I'm glad they've finally brought back hand drawn animation, which is what Disney is know for. They've let alot of people down with things like High School Musical and the Disney Channel, but I think this will be such a big hit because they've brought back their originality.

i think hand drawn movies are better mostly because people don't have to put as much effort into computer animations as they do hand drawn movies. Kinda like the way a person pushing a heavy shopping cart puts so much effort into it that they end up going faster than people just walking...

And I saw, The Princess and the Frog and it was AMAZING. I think they incorporated some Little Mermaid into it, like when he has to kiss someone before a set time...

I also thought the movie was great (the movie just went wide here in the US). It was almost weird looking at a hand drawn film after all this time. This film should win Best Animated Film at the Oscars this year, and maybe get nominated for Best Picture since animated films can be nominated too.
