@lapdoggydog Europe isn't a country, it's a continent, so comparing an entire contenent to a country is silly to say the least, so let's look at your country. Ireland's obesity rate DOUBLED in 2003 that was 7 years ago and continues to rise don't believe me, look at the stats on nutraingredients. Northern Ireland's gov website even states that in 2007 60% of all adults had a weight problem, and 22% of school kids were obese with 1 in 5 adults being obese.

@RightWingCon81 In terms of population comparing the prominent main countries of Europe with US is plausible due to the vast population the US has I'm not talking about all of Europe just the main countries.Northern Ireland would not be present in this argument as it is part of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth which although technically situated in Europe have their own laws and currency and they see their country as being outside the Union.

And in this case people who are said to be ":obese" are just a number.I am considered obese or over wiehgt depending on the chart my doctor looks at.Now I have about 5-6% body fat, I assure you I am not fat,I weight a lot because i am a big person and have worked out since I was 14. At 220lbs my doctor wants me to be 140, People in the US are generally BIGGER not just fatter.

They also have the incentive to improve their performance which has lead to breakthroughs in medicine.Now about the poor, they actually get EXCELLENT service in the US, perhaps you should look into that, it's called medicaid, and it's bankrupt, but people STILL get awesome care. It's the middle class that has a harder time, but insurance covers them
