If the IRS tax evasion case continues to move against Sarah Palin as it is expected to, she may be the most public figure to be prosecuted since Al Capone.
Why does Obama want to raise my taxes to bail out his elitist ivy league millionaire bankers with $700 billion in tax payer money?
Why does Obama support using that money to bail out foreign banks and hedge funds?
I have hard enough time paying $4.50 a gallon gas because Obama refuses to support off shore drilling. I can't afford Obama's taxes to bail out his friends.

I think we are misunderstanding the role of Sarah Palin in the Republican campaign. Pit Bull Sarah should regarded as their mascot - in much the same way as Clutch the Bear is the mascot for the Houston Rockets, or as the Kool-Aid Man (a large anthropomorphic frosty pitcher filled with Kool-Aid) is the mascot for the Kraft Foods Company's famous artificially-flavored drink mix.
Immigrants are symbols of hope, I agree. The immigration question needs a solution and John McCain has proven that he is willing to work with Democrats and Independents to solve it. It has gotten him in some hot water with his own party. Americans have spoken and said they want the borders secured first, and he is committed to do that. But most of us can agree that it's an enormous issue to be faced and needs to be resolved in a compassionate, fair and legal way.
Millions of people of various religions believe in creationism. It is based on the idea that the world is a beautiful creation, and every creation must have a creator. Who created the vast universe? Regardless of how old it is, who created it? The answer is simple: The Creator. Who is the Creator? Again, the answer is simple: God.
Who created God? Simple, you have no idea. If you want to explain the existence of our entire world with a simple fundamental power and get the easy way out please go the extra two feet and contemplate how our Creator came to be.
I do too asshole. The earth is 6-10 thousands years old. You are a sheep to the logic of humans who think they were once fish. So take your smug ass elsewhere you prideful piece of shit.
McCain has proven that he can work both sides of the aisle to improve America. He worked with Ted Kennedy on an immigration bill that was unfortunately defeated. But he tried. He is not a follower, but a leader and an independent thinker. He is a true uniter with respect for immigrants. It's terrorists he doesn't want in this country, not legitimate workers. We can trust McCain, who is a good man with a great record of service to America, both in the military and in the Senate.
LOL only a typical brainwashed NObama sheep would foolishly believe that the president has total control over our economy. It aint Bush's fault that some irresponsible moron bought a house he knew he soon wouldnt b able to afford. OUR ECONOMY STARTED HURTING WHEN THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER CONGRESS 2-3 YEARS.
AMERICA WILL REJECT B. HUSSEIN NOBAMA AND HIS RADICAL SOCIALISTIC, UNAMERICAN ECONOMIC POLICIES.
the systematic deregulation of the financial market under the republican controlled congress, and the outsourcing of regulatory agencies in the white house led to rampant malpractice in our financial markets. Bush and the republican congress pushed a regressive tax code. under the deregulated markets lenders gave confusing misleading home loans. It is the fault of the white house and the republican congress, there can be no doubt.
I rather vote for Bob Barr than a 72 year old man who has gone away from his "Maverick" ways. He has an inexperience running mate, hey did you know she could see Russia from Alaska.
Republicans, join the revolution and vote Bob Barr.
Another lie. McCain has had the same moderate positions on gay marriage, immigration, and the environment that he's always had.
Your slander at this WAR HERO'S age is laughable. LOL wow either the incredibly SMALL FACTION OF OBLIVIOUS CONSERVATIVES VOTIN FOR BARR ARE EITHER COVERT OBAMA SUPPORTERS, OR JUST FLAT OUT STUPID.
PALIN'S IS THE ONLY 1 ON BOTH TICKETS THAT HAS EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE AS GOVERNOR SHE'S MPRE QUALIFIED THAN BOTH NOBAMA AND BIDEN.
The guy is 72 and has had bouts with cancer...you are telling me he is going to be able to handle the riggers of presidency? Then who is there to take over, Sarah "I can see Russia from my house" Palin. She can't even run a company and that was one of McCain's adviser. No thanks.
"In fact, Obama had told the Iraqis that they should not rush through a "Strategic Framework Agreement" governing the future of US forces until after President George W. Bush leaves office," said Wendy Morigi, Obama's national security spokeswoman. 9/15/08
Wow, a denial that actually backs up the story of Obama's treason. At this point, Obama has bigger things to worry about than his political career. First the Watergate era fundraising, and now the Watergate squared scandal for Obama.
Alrighty, just for starters on Obama's outstanding character friends. 1. Reverend Wright 2. Reverend Pfleger 3. Tony Rezko 4. William Ayers 5. Michelle Obama 6. Louis Farrakhan 7. Bernadine Dohrn 8. The Black Panthers 9. Weather Underground 10. Khalid Abdul Muhammad 11. Bobby Seal 12. Huey Newton 13. Kwame Kilpatrick 14. Frank Marshall Davis
Immigration 'problem'? Right there you know he views it negatively. Use the world immigration situation or issue. And he didn't say 'what' he would do about the issue in this ad now did he.
If he's so 'for' immigration rights, why is it that he turns down almost every Civil Rights law that comes up including making MLK day a national holiday. McCain is just trying to trick people into voting for him and it should not work! I hope people are smarter than that.
why was this buried in CNN reports? Washington times:Records show McCain more bipartisan
"Democrats made up 55 percent of his [Mccain] political partners over the last two Congresses, including on the tough issues of campaign finance and global warming. For Mr. Obama, Republicans were only 13 percent of his co-sponsors during his time in the Senate, and he had his biggest bipartisan successes on noncontroversial measures, such as issuing a postage stamp in honor of civil rights icon Rosa Parks."
With America facing historic debt, multiple war fronts, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, skyrocketing Federal spending, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc., this is an unusually critical election year. McCain doesn't have a plan, he doesn't have moral high ground, and he doesn't have an accurate moral compass. At the very least - Obama has a plan, but MORE importantly Obama has vision, hope, and is willing to challenge the USA to be better.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
McPain is a clone of George Bush (w). Four more years? Hell no!
The economy sucks; The war in Iraq will escalate into WW-3; The environment will be suffer and global warming will escalate; The oil companies will escalate the cost of fuel three-fold; The big-three will continue building large, gas-guzzling vehicles; Jobs will continue to be outsourced to other countries; Abortions will become outlawed; Illegals will get driver's licenses and citizenship; etc.
In 1994, John McCain voted against legislation -- pushed through Congress by Joe Biden -- that helped put an end to the practice of charging rape victims for sexual assault exams.
McCain not only opposed Biden's legislation, but also has voted against funding it as recently as October 2007.
So McCain married into money. All of his so called houses are his wifes. Bottom line is he is the better of the two choices. I am not happy its either him or Obama, but faced with that choice, its McCain.
This is the ONLY thing that scares me about McCain. I fear our unemployment rate will continue to grow as well as our tax contributions to welfare and Medicaid. I wish he's just commit to closing the border and building the fence.
McCain is just coming up with a realistic approach. If you actually talk to legal Latinos, many resent illegal immigrants (not just latino) more than "non-Latino" Americans". I live in one of the highest Latino populated areas, so I don't approach these things in "theory".
Most of the resentment comes from not being able to compete with illegal workers (employment laws you are held to make it impossible).
But before you worry about McCain, take a look at Obama's perspective.
EndTheMadness -- What grade are you in? Go away, troll.
To everyone WITH a brain -- I like McCain/Palin, but I sure would like to know what "fair" immigration reform means. No amnesty, please! Senator McCain, your voters are sticklers for that pesky "rule of law" thing.
your comment makes no sense. His immigration policy has always been to treat the illegals in our country like gods children and they shouldntbe treated like3rd class citizens. When trying to get legalized by a long process and havingthem stay in the back of the line it failed twice bc democrats and reps voted against it.So whenure bill fails u try to change so it can be passed. He still holds the same principle but is more practical sayingthe only way the bill will be passed isif borders are secure
The McCain/Palin ticket is the ticket for reform, a strong military, economic strength, and traditional American values. I don't want the U.S. transformed into something European or Middle Eastern. I want American values protected, and I want our American life style preserved. Vote McCain/Palin!
I will be voting McCain/Palin myself. From all the research I've done, Obama is more like another Bush term than McCain. This is my first time voting in all of my 35 years. It's important to know the facts. Obama will ask for billions in funding in so many things it's scary. He will put us in debt deeper. While McCain/Palin will prove reformers if elected.
Sarah Palin lives by the maxim that all politics is local, not to mention personal.
So when there was a vacancy at the top of the State Division of Agriculture, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as one of her qualifications for running the roughly $2 million agency.
So do you think the one is perfect. what does Obama and Osama bin laden have in common. They both have friends that bombed the pentagon! Now thats truth!
So where does MCSame/Palin really stand? Some bloggers and analysts have suggested that he used the term future combat systems generically. Obamas campaign maintains their candidate was speaking specifically about FCS, in which case McSame may be twisting his rivals words.
Loren Thompson of the Lexington Institute called it deceitful, McSame/Palin.
Sarah Palin made a false claim about the data being accurate to the best of her knowledge, she was aware of the change in billing policy orchestrated by Police Chief Fannon. The McCain/Palin campaign did not respond to requests for comment.
Mayor Stein told OffTheBus that he didn't "think victims were billed while [he] was mayor," but that he wasn't certain. He did mention that "Wasilla participated in establishing a Sexual Assault Response Team to set-up a one-stop forensic exam room for victims," evidence of a pro-victim police department.
Sarah Palin's administration, Wasilla cut funds had previously paid for the medical exams and began charging victims or their health insurers the $500 to $1200 fees.
Palin, as mayor, fired police chief Irl Stambaugh, replaced him with Charlie Fannon, with Palin's knowledge, slashed the budget for the exams and began charging the city's victims of sexual assault.
Palin campaign, new evidence proves that as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, Sarah Palin had a direct hand in imposing fees to pay for post-sexual assault medical exams conducted by the city to gather evidence.
McSame/Palin Crowd-Size Estimates Not Backed by Officials
Sept 13, McSame drawn some of the biggest crowds of his presidential campaign since adding Sarah Palin to his ticket on Aug. 29. Now officials say they can't substantiate the figures McCain's aides are claiming. Because they such a lier!!
McSame brags about having been one of the few Republicans willing to openly criticize President Bush's strategy in the years leading up to the surge. And he promises that, if elected, he will hold weekly war briefings and be upfront about how the war is going. He lies again!
Obama 08
And yet, a new book by The Post's Bob Woodward suggests that McCain has not always been as forthcoming with the public as he has pledged to be.
McSame's proposal, outlined June 15, would extend President George W. Bush's tax cuts, reduce the top corporate rate, repeal the alternative minimum tax and double exemptions for dependents. That would be offset by eliminating pork-barrel spending, freezing a portion of the budget and saving from Medicare spending, McSame said at the time.
well we have to a least try to balance the budget. Obama is going to try to spend 3 times what bush did. At the same time raise taxes on the Only people that pay them. That will make companys lose jobs and people won't invest therefor there won't be any new jobs for people to get.
McCain has said he would balance the cost of most of his tax cuts with budget reductions, while providing few details beyond eliminating earmarks and other pork-barrel spending, which have totaled about $171 billion since 2001. Democratic nominee Barack Obama is proposing fewer tax cuts and more ambitious spending programs.
Sept. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the country can't afford $3.3 trillion of tax cuts proposed by Republican presidential nominee John McCain without corresponding spending reductions.
Washington's broken, McSame knows it. We're worse off than we were four years ago.
Only McCain has taken on big tobacco, drug companies, fought corruption in both parties. He'll reform Wall Street, battle Big Oil, make America prosper again.
McSame's campaign provided numerous citations -- including a testimonial from consumer advocate Joan Claybrook, president of the Ralph Nader-founded Public Citizen organization. Still, the ad's claim that McCain is the "original maverick" seems a bit far-fetched, what with Republican Senate moderates like Mark Hatfield having already established a fine tradition before McSame ever entered the chamber.
Thus this ad, "Broken," which opens with the line: "Washington's broken. John McSame knows it. We're worse off than we were four years ago." It's notable for a word that doesn't appear anywhere:
McSaim's sucker-punch attack ads were the toast of the political commentariat last week, there was also much discussion of whether the Rove-style messaging would dilute the Arizona Republican's brand of incorruptibility and maverick honor.
This ad reminds me about what I love about John McCain. Any one who thinks he is not his own man needs to view this ad, and compare his sentiments on immigration to the ravings of his Republican colleagues in the Congress.
You're kidding yourself if you think Obama isn't airing false and misleading ads. They're both guilty of it, so what's the point in complaining about it? Just focus on the issues, not the media raised crap.
My goodness, this ad can't be from McCain, it's inoffensive. It might annoy the bigot wing of the Republican Party. It's not full of flagrant lies. Clearly, this ad was created and posted by an imposter.
A good video. Secure the borders and help speed legal immigration. No one hates immigrants but and illegal slave class is not something that is good for anyone. Obama's solution. He said that instead of immigrants learning english we should learn spanish. If that doesn't tell you where Obama stands nothing will.
Thats incorrect, actually, since Obama spent the years after college working for people who lost jobs after a metal factory shut down. He has more experience working with normal people and therefore probably understands them more then McCain does.
Obama is the lier and what has Obama done for his country. Nothing nada zip. Clinton should be running in his place. She would be winning this race. NOBAMA
I can't look at mccain anymore without feeling sick to my stomacehe, seeing that he can lie with a straight face, even after it's been proven it's a lie, he'll still deny it. no shame in his game. I'm not wasting my vote on him!
well I hope your "stomecehe" feels better...perhaps it will help you vote better when it does ;) Look, McCain will be a better President than Obama. Everyone knows that. The only reason people vote for Obama is so they get more free stuff from the government and can have sex without consequences. That hardly qualifies Obama. Abortion and Big Government are throwbacks to lunacy not change we can believe in.
thanks for caring. quote from mccain- "I didn't decide to run for President to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run a campaign as if it were some grand act of patriotism. In truth, I wanted to be president because it had become my ambition to be president. I was sixty-two years old when I made the decision and I thought it was my one shot at the prize." Sen. John McCain. this and his actions lately show me he doesn't care about anything except winning.
As if Obama doesn't lie all the time. its funny how you only see one side of the fence. look obama lies about his church and he lied when he said he would take public finances. He is lieing about william ariers.
hehee....WHO'S seeing one side here? 'oh, you call my man a liar? well, yours is, too!'. great argument. if you do not see how mccain has sold his soul to the devil, just to win an election, then it's no use arguing with you. do you really think mccain chose palin because she's his 'soulmate' or was it just a campaign strategy? do you really think he has a new found love for conservative christians, or is he loving them now because he wants their votes? last I heard, he said they were 'scary'.
McCain chose Palin to get the clinton votes. yes. Just like Obama chose biden so he could get some foreign policy experience. Obama said he couldn't disown his pastor nomore than he could his white grandma but when polls showed it was hurting him he did throw the dude under the bus. All Nominee's move on issue's. Obama isn't a new kind of politician. McCain has been talking reform for 10 years and he has bucked his party many times. He has the scars to prove it. What I am saying is Obama is
'Obama said he couldn't disown his pastor nomore than he could his white grandma'...I don't agree with everything my pastor says. and sometimes I tell him. I continue to go to that church because my family and friends go there and it's a way for us to be with our community. obama also went to that church because he was working for his community at the time and attends to be part of that community. he dropped his pastor when his pastor was using him to get attention and said stupid things.
mccain use to be a maverick. I use to like him. on this campaign though, he's gotten pretty sleazy and forgot about integrity. its clear as day, all he wants to do is be president. that's it. he doesn't care about reform. he'll probably croak before the 4 years is over. he doesn't really have an incentive to carry out his 'reform blah blah' because he'll be gone. mccain chose palin to get votes from hillary supporters and conservative christians....people he doesn't even like!
If you pastor says them kinds of things just being there is showing support for him. Find another church there like every two blocks. To say McCain doesn't have a reason to reform is a lie. He didn't think he was gonna live through being a pow and he still didn't accept early realease because he loved his country that much. Why wouldn't he still love his country that much. Obama didn't just go to that church he also had that dude marry him and baptise his kids. also dedicated a book to him.
Why do I think that we'll yet again get an amnesty bill passed and McCain will sign it as President? I'm voting for him because he's the lesser of 2 evils (Obama is just the evil of 2 lessers), but he's wrong on immigration.
the mac is back alright......getting it doggie style from the back i hope.

Wow, a denial that actually backs up the story of Obama's treason. At this point, Obama has bigger things to worry about than his political career. First the Watergate era fundraising, and now the Watergate squared scandal for Obama.

McCain makes a statement on the day that The Dow Jones loses 500 points:
"The fundamentals of the economy are strong"
Sounds like Bush in 2002, 2003 and 2004 saying "We're winning the war in Iraq"
The facts remain:
*Highest unemployment is 5 years.
*The worst mortgage crisis since the Great Depression.
*The U.S. has it's largest debt in U.S. history.
Take McCain on his word about not understanding how the economy works.

Is John McCain good for women? You tell me.
In 1994, John McCain voted against legislation -- pushed through Congress by Joe Biden -- that helped put an end to the practice of charging rape victims for sexual assault exams.
McCain not only opposed Biden's legislation, but also has voted against funding it as recently as October 2007.

musclechic2001 3 years ago
McCain is just coming up with a realistic approach. If you actually talk to legal Latinos, many resent illegal immigrants (not just latino) more than "non-Latino" Americans". I live in one of the highest Latino populated areas, so I don't approach these things in "theory".
Most of the resentment comes from not being able to compete with illegal workers (employment laws you are held to make it impossible).
But before you worry about McCain, take a look at Obama's perspective.

That is why I love Obama!

Mayor Stein told OffTheBus that he didn't "think victims were billed while [he] was mayor," but that he wasn't certain. He did mention that "Wasilla participated in establishing a Sexual Assault Response Team to set-up a one-stop forensic exam room for victims," evidence of a pro-victim police department.
kyani08 3 years ago
Sarah Palin's administration, Wasilla cut funds had previously paid for the medical exams and began charging victims or their health insurers the $500 to $1200 fees.
Palin, as mayor, fired police chief Irl Stambaugh, replaced him with Charlie Fannon, with Palin's knowledge, slashed the budget for the exams and began charging the city's victims of sexual assault.

Politically Careless from GOP.
Obama '08'

well we have to a least try to balance the budget. Obama is going to try to spend 3 times what bush did. At the same time raise taxes on the Only people that pay them. That will make companys lose jobs and people won't invest therefor there won't be any new jobs for people to get.
tdub197769 3 years ago
McCain has said he would balance the cost of most of his tax cuts with budget reductions, while providing few details beyond eliminating earmarks and other pork-barrel spending, which have totaled about $171 billion since 2001. Democratic nominee Barack Obama is proposing fewer tax cuts and more ambitious spending programs.

thanks for caring. quote from mccain- "I didn't decide to run for President to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run a campaign as if it were some grand act of patriotism. In truth, I wanted to be president because it had become my ambition to be president. I was sixty-two years old when I made the decision and I thought it was my one shot at the prize." Sen. John McCain. this and his actions lately show me he doesn't care about anything except winning.

hehee....WHO'S seeing one side here? 'oh, you call my man a liar? well, yours is, too!'. great argument. if you do not see how mccain has sold his soul to the devil, just to win an election, then it's no use arguing with you. do you really think mccain chose palin because she's his 'soulmate' or was it just a campaign strategy? do you really think he has a new found love for conservative christians, or is he loving them now because he wants their votes? last I heard, he said they were 'scary'.
mikyellow 3 years ago
McCain chose Palin to get the clinton votes. yes. Just like Obama chose biden so he could get some foreign policy experience. Obama said he couldn't disown his pastor nomore than he could his white grandma but when polls showed it was hurting him he did throw the dude under the bus. All Nominee's move on issue's. Obama isn't a new kind of politician. McCain has been talking reform for 10 years and he has bucked his party many times. He has the scars to prove it. What I am saying is Obama is
tdub197769 3 years ago
'Obama said he couldn't disown his pastor nomore than he could his white grandma'...I don't agree with everything my pastor says. and sometimes I tell him. I continue to go to that church because my family and friends go there and it's a way for us to be with our community. obama also went to that church because he was working for his community at the time and attends to be part of that community. he dropped his pastor when his pastor was using him to get attention and said stupid things.
mikyellow 3 years ago
mccain use to be a maverick. I use to like him. on this campaign though, he's gotten pretty sleazy and forgot about integrity. its clear as day, all he wants to do is be president. that's it. he doesn't care about reform. he'll probably croak before the 4 years is over. he doesn't really have an incentive to carry out his 'reform blah blah' because he'll be gone. mccain chose palin to get votes from hillary supporters and conservative christians....people he doesn't even like!
mikyellow 3 years ago
If you pastor says them kinds of things just being there is showing support for him. Find another church there like every two blocks. To say McCain doesn't have a reason to reform is a lie. He didn't think he was gonna live through being a pow and he still didn't accept early realease because he loved his country that much. Why wouldn't he still love his country that much. Obama didn't just go to that church he also had that dude marry him and baptise his kids. also dedicated a book to him.
