[Not knowing about the theme behind original song Otouto no Ane invented her own story, lyric and melody.

The new lyric talks about a love triangle between two childhood friends ("Romeo" and "Juliet") and a new girl ("Cinderella"). Now she's too bitter to admit she fumbled her chance so she acts like Romeo/Kaito was "stolen" when he in fact never "belonged" to her in the first place.

The song's basically about a girl who is hurt over her "Romeo" falling in love with another girl who suddenly appeared out of nowhere i.e. "Cinderella." During the song, she laments about being alone, but towards the end, she is almost bitter and accepts her loss, leaving "Romeo " to his "tragedy" (recall what happens in Romeo and Juliet.) Very nice song. <3

I'm really incredibly grateful for this translation! I was so desperate for one that I even tried to translate it myself, and your translation cleared up so much that I was confused with.

One thing:

In the song

"Hitome habakarazu aishiau"

Habakaru (to hesitate) there is conjugated with base 1 + zu ( without [verb] )

So wouldn't it translate as something like:

"Without hesitating in public, loved each other" ?

Or am I totally off?

Okay, this is really cool. Otouto no Ane had never heard this song before she sung this version. What she did was she listened to the karaoke version, made up her own lyrics, sung it, and posted it on Nico.

Thus the title, "I don't even know a millimeter of Romeo and Cinderella".
