Thanks again,, when you say Eb, do you mean a blues harp done the the key of E,sorry bout this but im a real beginer at this.

The song is in the key of E flat - it seemed to work best with our voices. To play harp in cross position (blues harp style) I have to use an A flat harmonica. To get the key of the cross harp, take the key that the guitar plays in and count up 4 natural tones - EFGA or CDEF or GABC

guitar key -E, cross harp key-A

guitar key -C, crossharp key -F

guitar key -G, cross harp key -C and so on

It works the same way with flats.

Thanks for your message! You might look for some old Delmore Brothers songbooks. There is a Delmore Brothers website that Debbie Delmore keeps active. Listen to Wayne Raney on the original recording - that's where I got my ideas from.
