for one the bumb needs to go. 2 the tail lights along with it. 3 i hear a new motor coming. it might have been saveable till you just revd the shit out of it. sad to see that car in such terrible shape.

i would buy that car and put a OHV old school motor in it,, for 305 stock hp you will spend the same that you can build a fuckin BEAST 302 or 351 based motor and half the headache when something goes wrong,, dont get me wrong, those 281 four cammers sound sweet when revved to 7 grand, but who wants to fix that shit,??? i dont even know how!! i could take a 302 apart and tell you everything about it, but i would be like a blind man workin an arubix cube tryin to fix a 281
ugh....that sucks man...I hate it when that happens to guys because the same thing happened to me. Mine wasn't near that bad but it still sucked. I went ahead and took the motor out and had it built (forged everything, ported heads/intake(b-heads and factory intake), stg 2 cams, bigger ss valves, beehive springs) and I just now got it done and am waiting to put it in the car. I can feel your pain though because I bought my car and two freaking days later that happened. anyways gl with fixing it

I had the same problem with my 98 Cobra. I got a new Ford Racing Aluminator Short Block. That took care of the problem.
