you just borrow a friends psp and put your memstick in theirs and put recovery mode on it and then you put the memstick back in your psp and activate recovery by powering up while holding the R button and then you pick the longest link on there and then it will restart your psp and then a blue screen will pop up and you just tap O button and your psp is safety downgraded and unbricked

2.71 to 1.5 thats gotta be the easiest way to downgrade man. Just follow the tutorials step by step and make sure its a right tutorial. You use HenC to downgrade... Never turn off the power and don't manually turn off the power after the update, just press x and it will turn off by itself.. Anywase use a pandora battery.

that sux man, did you follow the instuctions right? you should have used one with autorun where it installs where everything is needed to be. and next time, dont touch it during the process where the eboot is downgrading i lock my psp and keep it charged. i have downgraded 10 psp and none have been brick.

there is a way to fix it all you ahve to do is go buy a motherboard on ebay with 1.5 firmware that way and replace it.
