Man, I remember the first time I saw a Space Harrier machine- one of the big screen, sit down ones, shiiiiit, it blew my mind! I remember thinking, Wow! It's sooooo amazing! I can't imagine how video games could get any more advanced than this... Well, some may argue that in gameplay terms things haven't improved, but have maybe even gone backwards..? Hmmm.

Well played , I absolutely love this game I have it on XBLA and it seems its the US arcade version . Cranking the difficulty up on this game still makes it fun and not many arcade games can pull that off .

I still wonder to this day: In the arcade version you must rescue all hostages to move to the next area. In most of the home conversions you can beat the game and not rescue a single hostage. Why?

@The100thAttempt not true, there are 4 revisions of Revenge of Shinobi and when it was first released (REV 1.00), it had Spiderman, Batman and Godzilla along with Rambo shooting the flame throwers instead of the bold dudes with bandanas. I actually own it for my Sega Genesis and it's still my original game I owned since 1989.
