Now that the economy is better people will not have a many babies because raising children is expensive. While they got less and less, the soviets reenforced. Yes, the T34 was really one of the best tanks.

@vtkrey Remember that Russia is the largest landmass in the world politically. With only a population equal to Nigeria and a land mass many times that of any other country, Russia has a problem. Now that the economy is better people will not have a many babies because raising children is expensive. Presently Russians are not reproducing enough to have an even slight increase in total population. That is why Putin doesn't push labor intensive industries.

@Unit987654321 The Iraq war is winding down and the war in Afghanistan will end with the Taliban holding a very small portion of its former holdings. The rest will be divided up among the different tribes. Al Queda is decimated and it is no longer a viable threat to tthe world as it once was. None of this would happen without the USA. It is a fact of life that the USA is a major player upon the world scene. Still we don't have a draft which is a significant situation.

People used to live peacefully there to a degree, but now people are dying by the hundreds due to car bombings and other shit. Was that war of any use at all?

Russia still makes some of the greatest weapons in the world. The only knock you can make against them is that large parts of the army are still equipped with old systems now.
Of course some of Russia's really old weapons remain classics: SA-AA, AK, RPK, SVD, RPG, and Katyusha.

No, it was the spring and Hitlers inability that beat the germans. To be more precisly, the soviets had catastrophal losses till 1943.Just in few weeks Germany invaded thousend miles. In some cases, germans were outnumbered by a ten time bigger soviet army but still won the battles. The fight against Stalingrad was the turn. Hitler insisted of attacking the city without any sense. While they got less and less, the soviets reenforced. Yes, the T34 was really one of the best tanks.

The only real nuke race during WW2 was between the U.S. and Japan. Japan actually tested a bomb on a small island. But never had the time to perfect it.

The US training seems to be obsolete and rely too much on distance from the enemy, so when the enemy forces get close, the US soldiers panic and don't act accordingly, this was proven in Georgia, wher the US trained, supplied and partially controlled Georgian army was taken prisoner is less than 5 days...

@thehazord The Georgians had the same training as any US soldier, so it would have made no difference how the US would have fought. Throwing them in Arctic water, what does that do? Nothing. Spetsnaz experience pain so that they would never back down in a battle from injuries. US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan just retreat once they suffer 1 casualty and call air support to cover their retreat, Spetsnaz will not.

funny thing about american weapons they break, go out of date or just suck after about a year. russian weapons are MADE TO LAST, that how great they are beside the american military is so poorly trained for real combat its not even funny, you guys are a sad people

ok lets look at this. the greatest number of nukes that will never be used. the greatest number of cheapass tanks that get destroyed instantly. america has the biggest airforce everyone knows that. and best navy you say. you only have 100 ships they all are over 20 years old and you only have 3 carriers. the united states has 900 up to date ships 9 carriers one being the greatest ship on earth the nimitz class carrier. as well as 300 submarines. face it russia sucks.
