  • beautiful as usual from you. Thank you for the video.

  • This is a WONDERFUL soap. I got my order today and of the six...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this one the most. Thanks so much Karen. :0)

  • these look absolutely gorgeous!

  • Karen this looks great I love everything u do this is a beautiful soap so thanks for your great videos and products hugs Patty

  • Beautiful soap! And I agree about ebay! A lot of people think that just because it's on ebay it's got to be cheaper. I've found it to be the other way around myself. :-)

  • Looks lovely !

  • this soap is BEAUTIFUL

  • Hi Karen:

Beautiful! Hey, Karen, I made a lime CP recently and I put a slice of real dried lime on top of each bar, similar to what you've done here. I love the look of dried fruit, but a fellow soaper said I should be very wary of using it because of the dangers of mold. Have you ever had any issues while using dried fruit slices in your CP? Thanks very much!

  • Beautiful soap Karen.

  • thanks do you use real fruit in your soaps?

  • These are to die for! I bet they smell so yummy!

  • They are pretty swirls, just lovely Karen.

  • Oh my gracious, how gorgeous! <3

  • abolutly beautiful as always

    xoxo

  • Very beautiful !

  • Hey Karen- when I asked how you got started in this craft- I meant just that, not how I could get started. I just wanted to know what got YOU interested in making soap in the first place.

  • Absolutely gorgeous once again, Karen!

  • Wow that soap is absolutely beautiful!!

  • @Americakb Thanks so much, I better upload some more then!

  • I just love all your videos! I have been doing M&P since June of this year. I'll be great at it one day. Going to do CP soon. I have wood molds but after seeing how easy M&P come out of the plastic molds that you have I had to get a few. Keep up the great work you're an inspiration : )

  • @OhnoPatty Yeah, the plastic is great, but like I said mine have started to warp and thats no good at all.

  • Hi Karen, your soap is beautiful as always. I look forward to your new postings as you are so informative and inspirational. I am fortunate in that my husband is very handy and has made me several wood loaf molds to the exact size for my favorite soap recipe. I line them with freezer paper and when cut the bars are the right weight and fit for my packaging.

  • @48Jaybee Yep, I'm getting John to make me some too, I wish he had time right now.

  • Hi Karen...I'm on the east coast of Florida, so I gaze at the Atlantic. LOL

  • @oceangazer1 How amazing, I was there a couple of years agao, right down the coast and up the other side, I know people rave about the mixico side, but I truly LOVED the Atlantic side better, especially Palm Beach WOW

  • Wow Karen! Really did a wonderful job on this! Do the orange slices retain their colour over time?

  • @TheSoapGallery OH yes, they will stay this way, I buy them in dried, but I've tried drying them myself, but it's doesn't work properly, maybe if you are somewhere hot and sunny, then it will work out.

  • That is beautiful and I know it smells good I love Satsuma

  • @mjone135 It's just a hint of Satsuma but yes it's a fab smell

  • This absolutely gorgeous...love those swirls and the color. I shop for unusual stuff on Ebay because driving around town in the traffic drives me crazy. So I will pay a little more for the convience of it being delivered to my door. LOL

  • @alamo1731 Well, thats a good thing.

  • These soaps, are made with glycerin-based or not? sorry but I'm italian and I don't understand very well when you speak! However, very good!

  • @vanessads93 NO, I do do Vegetable Glycerine soaps too, but these are made with all butters and oils

  • Karen- how did you get started in this craft?

  • @dgandcrl Buy some Cold Process Soap Making books, the ones where each recipe has different oils used, then you get to see which work wherever you are in the world.

  • Glad you're back!! Beautiful job as usual!

  • @craftlover9 I'll try to post some more vids, but jsut very busy, thanks

  • Very lovely!! I absolutely love the colors, and the swirls are so pretty.

  • @charmcandleco Me too, thank you

  • @bttrflyicing Thank you

  • The swirls are very pretty

  • @nfoster680 Thank you

  • are the swirls melt and pour or cold process soap? i am having a problem with my soap, they all have soda ash on top

  • @SeattleSoap All CP - I'm told that ASH is because of the humidity around where you live. Is it humid hwere youa re? I wish I could help you out on that one, but I do not know about ash as I've never had it. I don't know if I'm right, but try reducing your lye a tiny bit. See what happens

  • @SeattleSoap Any exposed air while it is saponifying can cause ash. Ash is caused by oxygen. I cover mine tightly with saran wrap and don't unmold until it's completely cool. Even when I pull it out of the mold I keep the saran wrap around it until it is totally cooled before cutting. I live in a humid area also so this seems to help me. Other things you can try is adding beeswax or soywax to your formula or spray rubbing alochol a few times on top while it's saponifying. Hope that helps!

  • @SeattleSoap You can also try covering them with mica that's what I've seen karen do which was a fantastic idea!

  • I was just thinking about your videos yesterday and wondering where you had gone! lol I love watching your soaps. I find it entrancing, even though my boyfriend thinks I'm silly.

  • @DQ287 I'm still here, just very very busy, too busy actually, but I'm not complaining, I wish it was almost like this all year around.

  • Beautiful as usual...i can almost smell it!!!

  • @sparklesnureyez Thanks, wow I just checked out your channel and you are beautiful and you have the most gorgeous lips I've ever seen

  • @TerraCottaSoaps Thank you

  • Absolutely beautiful! I LOVE those swirls! =D

  • @mrscrafty100 Thanks Dani

  • I would love to make soap this way...Just starting out myself so melt and pour is easy for me. However maybe we can talk

I have subscribed to your channel Great work

  • @deastchester1 Well, that's how I started out, CP is much harder and only now after a year and a half have I got my recipe right, I think up until now they haven't been that good, but I'm confident in them now.

  • Karen I have missed you sooo much ! Its great to see you again! Your soap looks decadent !

The cheapest Ebay items come from China..a drag but most of what we buy at the store comes from China anyway.I bought a wax seal ..took forever & the wax was flammable plastic that stayed lit as it dripped.ripoff Americans are so lucky they have stores like Joannes, Hobby Lobby, Michaels that have super prices, great sales, clearance prices beyond belief & a super selection & variety of awsome products.

  • @mukwah1111 Thank you, I've missed all of you too, I'm hardly had time to watch anybody. I love your seal, it's soooo unique and I bet if you show it on your soaps, everyone will start doing it, it's ABFAB

  • Glad to see you back Karen. Very pretty soap. Hey can you give us an update on your soap room? Are you ahead of schedule or will it still be in December?

Your right about eBay, but the problem for most people is that some of the liners for cupcakes we don't get in some stores. So eventually you have to choke up the money and just buy it. It is expensive I know I am a eBay freak myself. As always you have such good advice. Thanks for sharing.

  • @ThreeSistersSoap Ha Ha, no behind schedule, I'll video it today, we've just had the windows put in, and the electrician and the plumber are here, then it iwll ber plastering, which you have to let dry out for 6 weeks (I think) so it wont be December, wish it was. thanks for caring.

And yes, Ebay, the trouble is with a lot of stuff, it's not how it looks on gthe photo, and you've just gotta hope that it's the correct size when it arrives, i like the cupcakes moulds with the grooves in them

  • Oh..how pretty! I've never smelled the champagne to but I just know it smells wonderful! Glad you're back! :)

  • @4Peaches1 Thanks for watching

  • Have really missed you, Karen, so glad to see this video from you. This is a really gorgeous soap, just stunning, Linda

  • @lwaldo50 Thanks Linda

  • I do my oranges and limes and my star anise like that too. If I lay them flat I always break them when slicing. Wish I could get the tulip and butterfly molds in the US that cheap ;(. Love the swirls. Take care :)

  • @sunshyneNrainxx I'm sure they will be there somewhere, I could get them for you, if they ahve any left and ship em over, but don't tell anyones, lol

  • Gorgeous!

  • @trishwosere Thanks

  • Wow very beautiful swirl...

  • @ZeepNederland Thanks Mate xx

  • Hellllllllo!! Beautiful soap and swirl.xo

  • @71blissful Thanks hun, and thanks for your caring PM yesterday.

  • i love this soap!Karen, when will you be featured in marie claire,I keep looking.

  • @821fiona Hi hun, it was going to be in the OCt Nov issue, but I just couldn't get my Xmas soaps ready in time, so it's gonna be spring now, it wont be huge mind, just a small tiny feature with a few words.

  • @EdensSecret1 great trees grow from tiny acorns!

  • very nice looking soap.

  • @expertonmyself Thanking you

  • Thats the thing with voteing systems - you have to take the good with the bad. Otherwise what is the point in haveing it, is it not feedback from customers?

  • @Debbiefaurby Yes, I know, I agree, it\'s not something I asked for and I guess I could have it taken off if I want to.

  • BEAUTIFUL SOAP XO LORETTE...CAJUN BUTTERFLY

  • @brennaspapa Thanks

  • wow I love it, bet it smells wondeful.

  • @twopearlsoaps I dop really love it, but like all scents some do some don't

  • Yay! Karen is back lol. I love this look very pretty! I know in my area we can't get liners that cheap or silicone molds. I get mine off ebay sometimes. it's cheaper for me to order straight from china then get them in the stores here in the US. I love my wood molds though.

  • @lovethyscent Well, that's good I guess you just gotta know where to look.

  • @EdensSecret1 Etsy has some great silicone mold makers on there from china too!
