  • Do not trust views from this guy. I've seen people supplicate towards him and he did nothing to refuse them. Astagfirullah!

  • istaqfurulah fear Allah why are the women being displayed for other men to see them i dont see this being right rather the women shouldnt be exposed for whom to see? some of them have husands in essence they can be fitna for people who watch this. also may Allah guide this man he should take knowledge from the scholars of ahlu suna e.h. shayk fawzan, rabee al madkhlee, bin baz, uthameen, albani, ibn taymiyyah, ibn qayyim etc

  • Do you have any proof that Sahaba, Tabaeen and Ulema of Past has short beards like you ? If you are cutting the beard you are simply going away from sunnah and making your face as Yahood and Nasara.

Allama Ghulam Rasul Sa'idi has Full Fist Beard......

Dont Fool People by your Words ..........

  • And this so called scholar now is lying openly just to support his shorter beard. ..

Is this not the person who gave out the fatwa to please his british masters that it is haram to fight a foreigner even if they invade u.

is this not the person who was telling the answers to a burried person about the questions which are asked in Qabr??

    DO NOT TRUST HIM

  • @aamirhabibkhan Salam brother.

Is there a video or some other kind of evidence where he gave that fatwa of not to fight a foreigner?

Any kind of help in this regard shall be appreciated.

  • @zameersd Wassalam .... I tried to find the link to his statement but could not find it .. i m sorry

It was published in Daily Jang news paper ... Abdullah Tariq Sohail also wrote about it in his column in Express news paper....

i will show it to u as soon as i find it.

  • Other Companions such as Abu Hurayra and Umar ibn al-Khattab (Allah be pleased with them all) are also reported to have trimmed their beards to a fistful, thus the practice of the Sahaba, who understood the Sunnah more than anyone else, is a clear proof on the permissibility of trimming the beard to a fistful.

  • The great Hanafi jurist, Imam Ibn Abidin (Allah have mercy on him) states:

“when a narrator (Ibn Umar, in this case), does something in contradiction to what he has narrated (leave/grow), it indicates that the original ruling (of not trimming the beard at all) has been superseded (mansukh) by a subsequent one--permitting the beard to be trimmed, in this case. But trimming it when it is already less than a handful is not permissible in the Hanafi school (Rad-al-muhtar AlaAlDurrAlMukhtar, 2/113)

  • Some Hanafi PROOFS for a minimum level of Fist are

Imam al-Bukhari relates in his “Sahih” from Sayyiduna Abd Allah ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Do otherwise than those who ascribe partners to Allah (al-mushrikin): leave beards, and trim moustaches.” And Ibn Umar, when he went on Hajj or Umra, would grasp his beard with his hand, and removed what was in excess of it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, 7/206)

  • 1. 3:53 "Holy Prophet(SAW) used to cut the beard if it was more than four fingers" .. whats the proof? ..

    2. Where did he take saying that 0.55 "upto certain level which cab be declared to be beard" ??

is it not VERY CLEAR in hanafi fiqh that the minimum level is that of a fist??

  • In last scene the big brother touching his beard seems very happy!!! lolzz

  • This makes more sense because some men cannot keep huge beards. Ive seen Malaysian men who are not very hairy and there beards are very very short and looks like stubble. If there is a fixed amount of beard length than what about people who cannot keep a beard more than a fistful? Would they be regarded as non muslims because their beards arnt as long as other fellow muslims?

  • mujaddid with small beard??? what has he revived keep small beards. he has certainly not revived sunnah.

  • SHAIKH-UL-ISLAM i love u! thnk u vry vry vry much!

  • Watch this on youtube... "The permissibility of western clothing. Prof. Tahir ul qadri shaykh ul islam"

  • Watch this on youtube... "The permissibility of western clothing. Prof. Tahir ul qadri shaykh ul islam" He answers the question better than on this talk.

  • and keeping the beard if fard not sunnah because it was commanded by the prophet (sawS)and what he commands is like ALLAH commands

  • @abdurrazzak305 ... Astagfirullah Azeem..I agree with u my brother,,This man is lying..Nabi (SAW) never trimmed his beard nor did He(SAW) ordered it to do. Sunnah is to let beard grow. It was only Abdullah Ibn Umar(RA) who trimmed his beard to the length of his fist,,This man is saying this because he has got short beard himself,,

  • laa hau la wala quwata illa billah, this man is misleading muslims in evrythng, there is no saheeh hadith where the prophet(saws) told to cut the beard or did it himself,May ALLAh guide him ,me and all of us to the straight path

  • Keeping the beard is at least Waajib according all Madhabs except for Shaafi Madhab where it is Sunnah, although Imam Shafi'i himself said to shave is haraam in kitab al-Umm. According to the Hanafis, the beard should be more than a fist length. I notice Tahir ul Qadri who is supposed to be a hanafi scholar, giving opinions of the shafii. For the correct opinion ask a Shafi'i scholar e,g. Habib Ali al Jifri, Nuh Ha Mim Keller or GF Haddad. If your a Hanafi no need to shop for fatwa like al-qadri

  • @adambinbob

Brother according to Imam Shafi we should not cut the beard at all. ok?

  • @aasimmunir1987 Habib Ali Al- Jifri (Shafi'i) said "Growing the beard is a command from the Prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) to the men of his Ummah. More specifically, the prohibition is to not shave the beard (that is, a man who simply cannot grow facial hair at all has not disobeyed this command). Although Imam as-Shafi'i wrote an opinion that shaving the beard is haram (Kitaabul Umm)...the mu'tamid or most relied upon opinion in our madhab is that shaving the beard is makruh.

  • confused after hearing him...

  • This is not a full video which is something arnd two three hours long. ..n i think its the main reason you guys are getting confused or some ppl dlbrtly don wna come out of confusn

  • And please see the whole video it is a very long and detailed video but because of this short clip ppl are getting misguided abt such a great scholar..

  • Brothers please dont complicate things out here and dont use language for such a scholar..as nabi saw says the ink of a scholar is more sacred then the blood of a martyr

  • Its simple as this ppl who have natural growth of brwad can keep a fist long and ppl who dont have natural growth can keep it less...

  • Rasulullah {S*A*W} said: SOON there WILL dawn an age on mankind when NOTHING will remain of Islam but it's name & NOTHING of the Qur'aan but it's text..There Musaajid will be beautifully adorned structures BUT DEVOID of Hidaayat (Guidance). THEIR ULAMA WILL BE THE WORST OF CREATION UNDER THE CANOPY OF THE SKY..FITNAH WILL EMERGE FROM THEM & FITNAH WILL REBOUND ON THEM

  • This brother is highly misleading, only those who dont follow the commands of the Prophet {Salallahu Alayhi Wasalaam} are the ones justifying their transgression.

  • Abu Darda {R.A} narrates that Rasulullah {S.A.W} said: "I have NO connection with one who shaves..... {Bukhari/Muslim}"

    Ibn Abbas {R.A} narrates that Rasulullah {S.A.W} said: "Anyone who shaves has NO claim to the mercy of Allah."{Tribrani}

    "Whoever obeys the Rasul, he indeed obeys ALLAH" {4:30}

    "And whatever the Rasul gives you, ACCEPT IT, and whatever he forbids you, ABSTAIN from it"{59:7}

Ibn Umar {R.A} narrates Rasulullah {S.A.W} said: "Trim the mustache and let the beard FLOW (grow)"

  • THE HANBALIS

The Hanbali's agree without exception that it is prohibited to shave the beard

    [Al-Insaf, Sharh ul-Muntaha, etc.].

    Ibn Taymiyyah stated:

“It is prohibited to shave the beard.” [Al-Ikhtiyarat

    ul-Ilmiyyah (p.6)]

  • THE SHAFI’IS

As for the Shafi’is, al-Imam ash-Shafi’i has expressed that it is prohibited to

shave the beard [al-Umm]. Also, al-Athru’i said, “The correct position is that it

is prohibited to totally shave the beard without a (medical) problem with it.”

    [Sharh ul-Ubab].

  • According to the Malikis:

“Shaving the beard is prohibited, as is cutting it if it

causes a (clear) mutilation. But if it becomes oversized,

and if cutting it would not appear as a mutilation, then

it may be cut; but that would be disliked and contrary

to that which is better.” [Sharh ur-Risalah by Abu al-Hasan,

and the commentary on it by al-Adwi]

  • Liar!!! this is what imams said

    According to the Hanafis:

“It is prohibited for a man to cut his beard ... as for

cutting it shorter than a fist-length - as is done by

some people from the west and by the effeminate men

    - no one permits this. And as for shaving it completely,

it is the doing of the Indian Jews and the Persian

Magians” [Persian Magians-Followers of an old religion, possibly

the same as the "Zoroastrians"] [Ad-Durr ul-Mukhtar].

  • advice to my pakistani brothers who i love for the sake of Allah swt please do not be nationalistic follow Arab speaking sheiks or sheiks from ur country who follow famous scholars from the early generations in your people there is so much ignorance against islam on the day of judgment u want Allah swt's approval not Pakistanis, Allah swt can help you not pakistani sheiks and Allah swt's Messenger sws will intercede by Allah's permission not a pakistan stay away from their misguidance brothers

  • sheikh ul islam is this guy the new pakistani version of ibn tayymia ?? Come on man

  • To keep beard is not a must, it is up to a person to keep it or not, what kind of idiots worry about beards but not about corruption, child sexual abuse by mullahs, lies, cheating, hating, anger, spite, greed, etc etc.... what does it matter what length your beard is when you are not a good muslim, lusting after boys or women and money.

  • Abu Darda {R.A} narrates that Rasulullah {S.A.W} said: "I have NO connection with one who shaves..... {Bukhari/Muslim}"

    Ibn Abbas {R.A} narrates that Rasulullah {S.A.W} said: "Anyone who shaves has NO claim to the mercy of Allah."{Tribrani}

    "Whoever obeys the Rasul, he indeed obeys ALLAH" {4:30}

    "And whatever the Rasul gives you, ACCEPT IT, and whatever he forbids you, ABSTAIN from it"{59:7}

Ibn Umar {R.A} narrates Rasulullah {S.A.W} said: "Trim the mustache and let the beard FLOW (grow)"

  • If we love the Rasul {S.A.W} we'll take everything he gave us. No matter how good a Muslim is, if he has NO beard because he decded to shave then he has NO claim to the mercy of Allah Ta'ala.. If he is a good Muslim then he'll have no problem keeping a beard for a beard is SUNNAT

  • @AfwaunMuMeen i do not share this.

some asian countries man have less facial hair. how about them should they wear a wig - beard ?

    never !

  • @Serkant75 Of course not that'll be plain ignorance.. That's like expecting the person who Allah Ta'ala did NOT give arms to fold his arms in the Qiyaam position.. The SHARIAH has certain rules and the rules of the SHARIAH is for one to have the beard NO less than a fist length, this so-called Sheikh is WRONG. The Shariah doesn't pose hardships on he who can't grow 1 BUT it'll still be HARAAM for the 1 who can't grow it to shave

  • may ALLAH swt guide this man to the right path

  • "As a Custom.." what is he talking about ??? I totally disagree with this so called scholer. On the other hand, he himself should follow that " Custom" anyway, if he calls himself a muslim scholer. May Allah forgive us all.

  • He is lost

  • Imaam Naafi' (RA) further states, 'And ibn Umar (Radhiallaahu Anhu) during Hajj or Umrah used to hold on to his beard with his fist and cut off whatever was in excess of that.' (Bukhari vol.2 pg.875; Kitaab-ul-Libaas no.5892)

  • For those that say the practice of the Prophet (saw) becomes LAW in Islam.

    Please answer this question.

The reported practice of the Prophet(saw) was to cut the beard to 4 fingers length. So for all those scholars and sufia who keep a longer beard, are they unaware that they are breaching a Law ?

No ! They all no that the Prophet (saw) left this subject open and gave no definitive verdict on the specific length of the beard.

  • @chipsandkebabs to you be your faith to me mine. Dont need to worry about Tahir ul Qadri, you need to worry about yourself.

  • these are the comments by a stupid molvi and all these comments are against the ahadees, Allah azzawajal ummat ko tahir fadri ke fetne se mehfooz farmaie

  • @mmtengineer

    get lost u dirty wahabi!

  • it seems the respected alim is simply saying that the length isnt the issue because it may not always grow to the same LENGTH as the beard of the holy prophet(saws)

he is not saying it is ok to trim the beard as actors and kufar do

  • as for the 4 fingers length well everyones beard doesnt grow that long so that is not the issue i dont think

the issue is IT SHOULD NOT BE TRIMMED AS KUFAR TRIM THEIRS LIKE WOMEN (completely off) or effeminate men (very low) --- the sooner we differentiate between ourselves and them the sooner will the Wrath of Allah descend on the enemy of Allah

  • this alim is saying "the holy prophet (saws) didnt say that you have to keep your beard this limit but this was his (saws) practise" knowing FULL WELL that the PRACTISE of the holy prophet (saws) becomes LAW so i dont understand his point in splitting this hair in this case

what the holy prophet (saws) did is imperative for us to also keep ---the holy prophet (saws) mentioned beard as part of fitra etc ; so what is the issue here?

it was a sunnat of all anbiya(as) as well

  • we dont have to have a hadeeth in which the holy prophet (saws) specifically mentioned the length of the beard ---the sahaba SAW his (saws) beard and imitated him(saws) as we know IN EVERY DETAIL OF LIFE ;and we DO have knowledge of the length of THEIR beards as well and the length of the holy prophets(saws) beard

the sahaba were praised for their ability in understanding islam by Allah Himself; we are commanded to both keep to the sunnat i rasul (saws) and the practises of the sahaba ikram

  • This is a clear sign from Allah Almighty that we should never judge people according to the size of their beard or the size of their turban.

  • @shazyboy259 the more one has adab, the more iman he has got.

everybody can grow a beard. it is in the nature of man. it is easy-

  • You quoted From Sahih Bukhari

Make the moustaches extremely short and lengthen the beards.

This Hadith does not in any way refer to keeping the beard up to a fist full.

Our Beloved Prophet Peace be upon him Commanded us to grow our beards but never commanded us to keep it a fist full.

  • @shazyboy259 ,Dear Mr. allama himself accept that HAZART MUHAMMAD (SAAW) Beard is Fist full. And Shaba ra were the dalial for us as we get get instructions from HAzart Muhammad SAAW about Shaba Ra, to follow them. and i quoted "

The following hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari (RA):

“Oppose the Mushrikeen! Lengthen the beards and shorten the moustaches. When Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA) used to go for Hajj or ‘Umrah,

  • @shazyboy259, and where the ahisq Rasool SAAW gone, he himself accepted that the size of beard of HAZART MUHAMMAD (SAAW) is fist length, and he said this is adat e Nabi SAAW, wah re kia ye Ishq e Rasool hay??????????? aor ye bat qadari sb ko kafi badh main pata chai, phalay tu in ki beard bhe almost aik fist hoti the, ye kia munafqat hay????????????????

  • @shazyboy259 Nabi saaw's beard was long and covered his chest if you don't like to grow your beard upto that size then don't say that it is not right to grow your beard upto that size
  • Plucking Of The Eyebrows In Islam. Prof. Tahir ul qadri ... another good talk on this.

  • The word for beard in Arabic is lihyah which comes from the Arabic word for jaw. Therefore, the beard should be to the extent of one fist from the chin, the right side of the jaw, and the left side of the jaw, i.e. it should be the length of a fist from all three sides. Some people grow the beard to one fist from the chin but trim it to less than a fist from the sides. This is incorrect. If any one of the three sides of the beard has been shortened less than a fist, then this is a major sin.

  • Allamah Shaami writes:

“To trim the beard when it is shorter than one fist in length as practiced by some people of the west and the hermaphrodites, has not been permitted by anyone i.e. any scholar.”

Hazrat Thanwi (RA) writes in Behishti Zewar (Heavenly Ornaments),

“It is haram to shave the beard as well as to trim it less than the length of one fist.” (Behishti Zewar section 11, pg. 115

  • @Alaqsa786 Is this your daleel (evidence) to say a fist full is wajib? You have just quoted from Allamah Shaami & Thanwi Sahibs opinion to prove that a fist full is wajib. You don't seem to understand what evidences from hadith is needed to establish the fist full as wajib. A hadith which is an act of a sahaba ikraam can not justify a fist full to be compulsory (wajib).

  • @Alaqsa786

    well

    actually,.......have

    you

    read

    the

    behishti

    zewar.........

  • In another hadith the following words are used:

“Make the moustaches extremely short and lengthen the beards.” (Bukhari Vol. 2, pg. 875)

It is wajib to keep a beard to the extent of one fist just as it is wajib to perform witr salah, and the two ‘eid salats. All the four imams agree on this issue.

  • Keeping a Beard to the Extent of One Fist in Length

The following is reported in a hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari (RA):

“Oppose the Mushrikeen! Lengthen the beards and shorten the moustaches. When Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA) used to go for Hajj or ‘Umrah, he would take hold of his beard in his fist. Whatever amount of the beard was in excess of the fist, he would trim it.” (Bukhari vol. 2, pg. 875)
