hahaha its fun coz its like a silly on camera eccentric behavour that we all have, like a bit of natural human in us, reminds me of my art room an my frendz
every great artist has a mental or physical handicap i know i do but since artists nowadays get a lot of money they get by with technology.I admire CHUCK Close's spirit.
The wheelchair was called iBOT. It was invented by and used the same gyro technology as the Segway. They sold for something like $30,000. Johnson & Johnson marketed them but has pulled them from production.
great concept but not a suitable solution for a full-time wheelchair user with limited abilities.
i saw chuck close at an art museum in new york and i hadnt even realized it until later. one of his pieces was on that floor too! i wish i couldve gotten his autograph or talked to him.
on November 2004 i saw him in the Metropolitan Museum and his painting was there the one titled "Lucas" I think, I did talk to him a bit but didn't get his autograph or photograph as well. Apparently nobody else knew he was there until when I said "Oh, Mr. Close!". I shook his hand and his grip was a bit weak so I figured an autograph maybe too much to ask for.
Chuck, that's fantastic. How do you balance like that? In the meantime, back to painting, (Bill Clinton portrait, that's good, ha ha.) love the work JK.
