Take pain for example. The pain comes as a physical sensation. Then the thought comes "ow... so much pain... unbearable... what can I do, etc.) Now, which is the suffering? It is the thought correct?

We want to be able to allow the pain to be present (like a lamp in a room). We don't need to get away from it. It is merely an occurance.

Next what I remember was terrifying filling in my stomach, fear, this is end of me (thought has come)... everything lasted for maybe 15 seconds.

I was powerless observer.
