For the curls to hold for a long time you need a good quality flat iron, because the flat irons that are solid ceramic can go up to very high temps, which sets the curls, with out damaging your hair like the cheaper ceramic plated flat irons. So, the cheaper ones may work, but you will probably need hair spray, and your hair may end up damaged in the process. I hope that I have helped :)

Is there any reason hair would not curl? I got an Iron for myself, and have watched so many videos. I went to try it out. . .and I do not get ANY curl. I just get a crimp look from pulling along, even though I am not clamping too tight. . .Nothing I do will curl my hair.

Is it an iso? Make sure that you rotate the iron 360 degrees before you pull it through to the ends! Also make sure that the temp. is set high enough! I hope this helps :)

Thanks! Clamp down just tight enough so that the hair does not fall loose. So, not too much pressure! About the time, it just depends on your hair length and texture. Slow and steady is the best way to go!

I use ionix deep treatment for my conditioner!

I love it, and I also sell it, because I love it :) As for any tips, just make sure that you rinse the Shampoo & Condtioner out very well!!!

Thank you!! The flat iron that I am using is an ISO Ultra flat iron/straightener.

If your straightener has the angled edges, and the plates are less than 2" you should be able to make a curl, but it probably won't stay as good/long as it would with the ISO, unless the iron is 100% ceramic like the ISO!
