Yes. There is a screw in the frame and instead of the female screw, you have to put a special connexion. Could be from stainless steal or aluminium, depending on what you prefer. Takes 20 seconds to install it.
at 59s you can see the connexion that has to be put into the bike... (that is all - no frame changes at all... - works for almost all sport bikes and also lots of street bikes and others...)

No. Modern bikes has two holes in the frame in that region. You just have to make sure this lift is compatible with your bike.
