  • XXXCOMPASSESXXX I wouldn't say that the one from the movie is horrible, but it is a little bad.

  • Steven Speilberg helped Bob Zemeckis get the movie started with Universal Pictures. I haven't seen the movie recently, but I believe that Speilberg was credited as a Producer.

  • Finally a normal delorean and not the horrible looking one from the movie.

  • It had 304 stainless steel paneling

  • how much for the time machine package?

  • you dont have to be a millionaire to buy this you can buy a newish thats never been drove from dmc in texas

  • @Jarrod0309 How? Where? Please... tell me everything.

  • Did you know guys, that it's a PRV V6 inside the car ? PRV stands for: Peugeot-Renault-Volvo. So it means that this engine is 66% french ;)

  • If that guy was too hit anything in that garage, it would cost him about 200 grand

  • Man!!! Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox, and Steven Speilberg made a KILLING off of this car!!!

  • @Jul2B Steven Spielberg had nothing to do with Back to the Future. Robert Zemeckis was the director and one of the 2 writers.

  • @Ratkill9000 I thought that the Back To The Future movies were under Amblin Entertainment? Its that Spielbergs company?

  • I LOVE DeLOREANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would give anything for this car.

  • Best Car EVA!

  • jeremy clarkson said this was the absolute worst car ever made and you know wat i dont blame him

  • complete with Back to the Future quality sound...this video is authentic!

  • Very nice car. It should have a bit more grunt and a more powerful motor though.

  • 2 people are on LSD

  • i love deloreans but they were underpowered if i could put one engine in the delorean id but the 3.8 turbo v6 from the buick grand national that would be a sick engine for that car

  • @xdavstratx great thinking! Yes that would be an ideal engine swap for this vehicle, and I'm sure the results would be pretty outstanding as well. You sir, have good taste

  • @TequilaAssassin4eva thanks if the delorean made it from 1981-1989

  • Because of the super low miles, I wondering what ya sold this bad boy fer.

  • it's a DeLorean, okay let's try to see this for what it is; a car made by a VERY Short-Lived auto maker that was financed on the basis of cocaine trafficking. & John DeLorean was able to hire a GOOD Legal Team & they got Mr. DeLorean Acquitted on the grounds of Entrapment cuz photographs were taken & there was a problem with the legalities of the photographs not following the US Constitution or something. I don't know it happened in 1982 & I wasn't even Born until September of 1985...

  • @IMaDEM0N Do your research on John Delorean sir. "I don't know....I wasn't born until 1985." If you "don't know" then why rattle off "facts" like you were there? Short lived auto-maker? John Delorean was one of the most prolific car engineers in the history of the automobile. GTO? Career at GM? Any of that ring a bell?

Do not try and pull any of that crap around any true auto-buffs, you'll get embarrassed out of the garage.

The coke is a grey area, the man's genius in automobiles is infallable

  • @johnnyd83

Wasn't the coke thing an alleged to be a sting op?

  • its disappointing that this car is a lemon

  • @EMajorsH ??? Mine is 30 years old with nothing but oil changes. I drive it every single week. I used to deliver pizzas in it. Do your research, you'll be surprised by truth over rumor.

  • @johnnyd83 i meant no disrespect to the car, i said i was disappointed for a reason because i like this car, i really want to get one in the future. i read it was a lemon because i didnt have big sales when it first came out. thats why there are all these warehouses with only the parts of this car and only this car which you can buy one there

  • It;s only goes 85 Miles an Hour.

  • @RochaBR777 120-130mph stock. Speedo doesn't govern speed, physics do.

  • HEY........That's my car (I Wish)LOL. Really, can i have it back now....Seriously :P

  • Thats the exact same song i would play if i had a delorean. I would have heads turning here and there.

  • *A comment about back to the future*

  • I could see Huey Lewis owning a delorean!

  • Biff dislikes this video

  • how many MPG does the delorean gets on the highway?

  • @sideslide23 25mpg with the auto, 28mpg with the 5 speed.

  • @jammer96 great Gas mileage for this vintage, thats what the newer honda oddysey gets.

  • Comment removed

  • Where's the flux capacitor located??? LOL!!!

  • Now that's a vehicle you would use to fly in space!

  • Very cool car. But heavy, use a lot of fuel, need a lot of repairs and only 2 seats.

But very cool. :) I would have bought one if i could afford it.

  • @einherje71 Repairs depend on how the car was taken care of over the years. They get 25mpg with the auto, 28mpg with the 5 speed. Delorean's weigh 2750 pounds. While not fast they are fun to drive and reliable cars.

  • It's not 2015 yet guys.

Be patient. I'm pretty sure that Toyota at the least will give us flying cars.

Remember the old Corolla commercials? "It's like flying - Ooooh! What a feeling: Toyota".

    LoL.

  • ...and now we need a flux capacitor...

  • doc simply broke the rear windows???

  • sweet but it will smush like jelly crashing into something going 88 mph

  • i though they cam with a v8??? movies lie soooo badly hahahaha

  • me: dad can i have a de lorean

    dad: why son

me:so i can go to the past

    dad: ok y

me: so i can stop the real rap from dying

dad: oh and while your in the past go to canada and kill justin bieber

news:we have reported this death jb has died

  • Have you tried going 85MPH in this this yet?

  • No rust on this one, ever.

  • perfect song choice

  • @skatinglexus ez melyik zene?

  • this car does not even have 88mph on the speedo. HAHA

  • When this baby hits 88 miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit.

  • @a3HeadedMonkey you can say that again.

  • sadly when it accelerates to 88 mph nothing happens

  • @p0ld3r Yes it does, you get a ticket.

  • Best looking POS ever

  • The speedo didn't go past 85 because of federal regulations. The actual top speed for a Delorean is 120mph. My friend has one with an aftermarket turbo kit which adds 80 more horsepower to the stock engine. His car will do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds.

  • I have just spotted that the speedo doesn't even go up to 88mph!!!! great scott!

  • 1981 was the first build, very few built 82, the factory was closed till oct that year

  • How is the flux capacitor supposed to work if the spedometer doesn't go up to 88?

  • @gunchuck44 - Just because the Speedo doesn't go that high, doesn't mean a car can't go that fast. I've buried many needles past the peg on many cars.

  • Mine did not sound that good, the manifold needed doing, well I sold it in 2000. Ive still got my workshop books and stuff ( FOR SALE )

  • You can travel in time with this car :D

  • Best car ever built

  • If you want a delorean these days you can get for $25g manufactured in texas...no lie look it up

  • If you a delorean now a days they cost $25,000 to make one manufactered in texas

  • It says the PRV's a V8, but I thought only the twin turbo was V8. Do you mean V6?

  • @carloscabrera08 The PRV I'm told was originally designed to be a V8 but due to gas prices in the 70s and other issues, Peugeot, Renault and Volvo redesigned it to be a a V6.

  • Best car ever made.

  • the day i become a millionaire, this is the first thing i will buy.

  • when this baby hits 88miles per hour the engine will fall out.

  • Do want

  • Damn, the DMC-12 looks naked without all the Back to the Future details... if I were to Buy that car, of course I would be tempted to "Change it up"

  • after looking at a DMC up close on DMC houston, i couldn't stop thinking about DeLoreans and had dreams and visions. and i want one sooo bad!

  • Doesn't the DeLorean have a Volvo engine?

  • @The2010camaro Yep. 2.8 liter Peugot Renault Volvo. Reliable if properly maintained.

  • aaagfh that car is so damn sexy.. i am a child of the 80s.

  • Puedo decir que este es el carro de mis sueños.....

  • We just went to an auction yesterday in North Dakota of all places and a 1982 Delorean sold for $19,000

  • I would blast nothing but Huey Lewis tunes in that car

  • brilliant video thats one of the best deloreans ive ever seen it looks brand new such a cool car

  • This is the definition of a beautiful car.

  • and the windows on the doors - to they open? I mean when you are stopped by police or go to a drive in, do you have to open the door?

  • @TheNewVideos Only half the window opens due to the design of the door. I wouldn't recommend going to through a drive thru.

  • @TheNewVideos They open, for paying tolls or swiping your access card to get into a parking garage.

I only got pulled over once, I simply let the officer know the process would be easier if I opened the door, which I did.

He thought it was cool and let me off with a warning!

  • is it possible to sit in the back?how many people?

  • @TheNewVideos Only a 2 seater

  • The 5 speed Deloreans are tricky to drive at 1st because the pedals are close together. After some practice you get used to it. Most older european cars with manual transmissions were built that way. Just do a lot of heel to toe shifting. Badass cars. I hope to own one someday!

  • I notice you are missing your flux capacitor. I would lend you mine, but it's in the shop. I made one too many trips with it and wore the thing out.

  • @gullwing14 haha, very original. The flux capacitor was a $500.00 option.

  • Idle looks high. Checked for vacuum leaks?

  • @fhudkins all delorean had a bad idle, is very dificult to turn it right, or too low or too high and more usual unstable. That happens because the high amount of anti emissions equipment.

  • @tonidmc After the oxygen sensor warms up, assuming K-Jet and Lambda are working correctly and there are no vacuum leaks, the idle should settle in just fine. (My DeLorean idles just fine, but that's because I threw a carburetor on it.)

  • @tonidmc It's not difficult to get it right, actually. Just make sure you have no vacuum leaks, the oxygen sensor is warmed up, the injectors are all spraying correctly, the cold start valve is not leaking, and the primary pressure O-ring is okay, and your D will idle just fine. Or do what I did and throw a carburetor on it. ;-) LOL

  • I'm not sure is this "post" button is working...

  • Deloreans and Huey Lewis and the News go together like Peas and carrots. :P

  • @gofish123 or oreos and milk

  • How shiny can they get? Like, if I wanted to see my face in it or make it look like chrome, how glossy are we talking?

  • Very shiney depending on how much work you put into them. There's a gentleman in Chicago with a mirror polished Delorean.

  • Damn. Just, damn.

  • I can't stop coming back the this fuckin video. Simply bad ass

  • this is the future of chitty chitty bang bang.

  • i wish the DeLorean MOTER COMPANY was founded in 1968 and the car came out on decsember 31st 1969 and ended on january 1st 10003 A.D. as a 10004 model.

  • the car still looks good:)

  • Deloreans will never get old. Timeless classic.

  • Looks like it could use some fine tuning. After sitting for soo long it's still running and still a great example. My friend bought one that sat from 91-08. He cleaned out the fuel system, replaced some belts and hoses and was good to go. Deloreans are actually reliable as long as they are driven and maintained properly.

  • Sweet car but there's a problem with it.

When dude started it and moved to pasrk it. The wheels didn't flip underneath and float over the other cars. lol

    *great job guys*

  • I am just as mad as you. In the 80's we were promised flying cars and I WANT MY FLYING CAR!!!!!

  • ROFL !!!!

  • NICE CAR but i think yours is missing the flux capacitor

  • That's optional.

  • oh, okay good because i was flippin shi*

  • The Flux Capacitor was optional some of the later models had matching hoverboard option too.

  • i could do without the hover board, got 3 already....2 i lost one on the toilet

  • They don't have power brakes

  • You are correct it was a slip. These things happen sometimes.

  • Actually I think I was in error! I meant power steering. Deloreans do in fact have power brakes. I don't know why but when I was reading your description I read power brakes, but my mind said power steering.

  • I knew you meant power steering. And in the description to the right of the video it isn't in there. To error is human I guess.

  • My favorite car. The 1st Delorean I ever saw was an 82. I WILL OWN ONE OF THESE!

  • first one I evr saw was an '81, December '81, to be exact. VIN number: 10485

  • Hey jammer96! When you get one, please send me pics! I want to see it!

  • No problem!

  • If I ever get the chance.. I will buy one of these.

  • back to the future :D
