the main thing is the horse should do what you want, at first if you can control direction,speed, whocares what end of the horse youre looking at, second try the horse start looking at YOU for directions
@SunnyMystie714 I totally agree.....Clinton's methods ALWAYS has a reason....if you listen to him he almost always explains the logic behind his "madness" LOL......I have used Clinton's methods for several years now......his is my foundation but I'm always open minded to other ideas......his round penning & ground work DVDs are great, the important thing is for the trainer "wanabe" to be very perceptive and pay attention to every detail....!!!
This video shows John Lyons techniques. It is different than Clinton Anderson that always has a horse turn towards you. The important thing is communication and respect from your horse. - not the style.
