  • What's the resolution of this video? LD? Low Definition?

  • Comment removed

  • its cool,fast ect.

but making your date wear a helmet kinda sucks

  • LOL how is this street legal?

  • using this car is like using a cheat code for the Nurburgring

  • i cant take that shitty music ur a bellend

  • hahahaha...........

d title says he finished nurburgring

    in 6:48 secs!!!!

    zats impossible!!!!!!

  • @kapilace6 its the top record.. idiot

  • @xraidedlok wat??? i dont get it.....

    and it makes no sense

  • he messed up at 1:32 he couldve shaved 2 seconds..

  • What about the zonda r, with 6:47. ... ?

  • @dannieldd0 The Zonda R is far from street legal. It is not even track legal a lot of places so i hear.

  • They need to run an F1 car round the track, it would do under 6minutes easily. The cornering speed of an F1 car is out of any touring cars league. If you don't believe me they spoke about it on the F1 practice session voice over, where the head engineer for Williams thought an F1 car could do it in under 5 minutes.

  • A good lap, but far from sparkling.

  • @LinearNavigator still fastest so who cares

  • Fast lap considering he lost it at 1:32

  • thumbs up if top gear got you here

  • The Zonda R is not street legal which the SR8 is.

  • The ZONDA is a second under, 6:47

  • i spoke to michael today at brands hatch and he told me that the lap was done on road legal tyres which they used to get too and from the track

he said that he could have gone at least 20 secs quicker if he was on slicks

  • give the car to sabine see what she can do

  • @redhotbarrell she could turn that thing out if she had her hands on it.

  • Best compliments to Michael Vergers and the team for this wonderful record!

  • SMASHED BY ZONDA R XD

  • @Wowfcuk if ti was a road legal production car it would have the record but it isn't so it doesn't

  • Fuck, 650kg/460hp, that is just sick.

  • Good

  • sehr gute leistung

  • Does anybody know the time of the caparo t1 ?

  • @fromgermany79 It probably caught fire and killed the driver before he got within 10 corners of Carousel.

  • Interesting - The Radical looks almost like a toy, and I'm guessing that it's great advantage is a ridiculous weight to hp ratio, and faintly absurd cornering speed. Still, I suspect that the overall horsepower is relatively low compared to say, the Enzo, which hit a top speed of 308 kph on the straight, versus 271 in the Radical. Still, an ultimate time of 6:48 is simply astounding!

  • Michael Vergers ran over 6 ppl during the making of this video

  • seriously, cornering speed of this thing is ridiculous.

  • driver does not lift gas at quiddelbacher höhe. I respect dat.

  • they say he set the record for the fastest time for a production car. idk anything about radical but it seems like this car was built to run the track. so i guess what im getting at is, is this a production car? idk what the requirements are for it to be considered a production car but im also pretty sure that this car isnt street legal? i could be wrong.

  • @CsRemix24 I think it's street legal in many countries, it's basically a gokart with a V8 made of two Hayabusa engines.

  • @CsRemix24 Yes you are wrong. Do the simplest thing and read the "Info" at the top. Road legal

  • @mattheep12 but its not a production car then. because by classification of a production car means that its offered to the public to buy. im sure you cant just go buy one of these off the streets.

  • @CsRemix24 Sure you can buy one of these, if you go give Radical a call then buying this car would just be a matter of time and money.

  • what the name from the game

  • good god...the Zonda R runs it in 6:47....yet this car is road legal.

  • @Cybergig00 it's road legal in england, basically everything is road legal there. the thing is: it's not road legal in germany and that's why this is not an official record.

  • radical isnt a car itsa kart lol

  • fantastic-all can say is you got bigger balls than me

  • Amazing, amazing, amazing! Michael, your reactions and a way how you feel the correlation between track and machine, is simply unbelievable!!!

  • Nice puts Steffans lap of 6:11 into perspective.

  • beautiful

  • sick

  • how much cost a v8?

  • This and the previous record has done the same Dutch driver, Michael Vergers.

Before he has 6.55, which was made 5 years ago.

And he was doing 271 km/h on streights (twice). He lost at least 2 seconds in 1st left hander, otherwise pretty clean lap.

  • I wish they didn't do this because the exotic sportscars like Ferrari, Lambo, and Porsche are never going to be able to beat this record, and therefore for a normal looking supercar, (Gallardo, Carrera GT etc) we can only measure how close they came to this car.

  • Well, with this car you get ZERO amenities, so the Ferrari's of the world still offer something it will never offer. Most women wont want to ride around in the cramped cockpit and have their hair get fucked up, get bugs in their face and have folks see up their skirt when they get in (Nice for you maybe, but not for her).

I would love this car, but it is purely built for speed. It's also a lot more dangerous to drive on the street. There are plenty of advantages to owning a full sized supercar.

  • damn. I got 7:41 with my modified BMW M5 on granturismo 4 :D

  • power aint the answer :) The best bmw for this track is the small m3 with a wing :)

  • @atroposBE

A stock M5 should be able to do 7:41

  • @SecularTechnology ha! can't even break into the 7 minute range with any M5 or M6 or any M for that matter... LOL

  • @KTMcaptain

Why do you say that ignorant remark, becuase the 2010 M6 laps the Nord 7:30's

  • @SecularTechnology I don't believe that for a second. sorry, but the fastest lap time I saw for the M6 was 8:09. you don't shave off 40 seconds just like that, and the m6 is a beast of a car.

is there any proof of this?

  • @KTMcaptain

Yes but it is 12:51 here, i'll give it to you tomorrow.

  • @SecularTechnology the m5 and m6 are sporty cars, but they weight 2 tons, what doesn't help on a racetrack. search for "adam osieka" here on youtube. this guy overtakes the m5 "renntaxi" in a caged e36 m3 with a stripped interior. 7:30 is supercar and not sedan territory

  • @KTMcaptain The M3 CSL did it 8 years ago. Also, M3 GTS.

  • hahahaha lol nice

  • Thats not the film from the 6-48 lap. Looks like the same car though.

  • Mad driving skills.

I'd trade all of my PS3 laps of the 'ring just for one real lap of the ring, wouldnt matter what in either.

Did I see right that he was "only" doing 240Kmh on that fast sweeping section? Shows that all the time is made up in the bends.

    Props to Radical Cars

  • Why lap record, when he made great mistake after start....?

  • He only lost about one second. In 20 km of track, there are plenty of corners where he can push to recover that time...

  • I will give you some food for thought: the Radical is much cheaper than something like a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR or a Ford GT GT3 ( ;-) ) Could it be homologated for the 24 hour race and will it last the distance?

  • trancematz, when was the last time you had an eyesight check?? heel and toe downshift?? on a bike box?? with a paddle shift on the steering wheel?? more like left foot braking and a blip....

  • anyone ever driver a Caparo T1 around Nurburgring?

  • Doubt it would last one lap before it fell apart.

  • or caught on fire

  • lots of late shifting here.

  • that car is a monster but i still don't understand how they can allow that on the streets lol

  • He´s doing heel & toe downshifting,awesome!

  • POWERR11

  • Comment removed

  • nevermind i realized this isnt 6:48 lol

  • i cannot believe that at the first corner... that is the first time i have ever seen someone spin out in an official time attack, let alone a record. of course if you dont enter a corner almost perfectly when your car depends on downforce this much that will happen, but really? never in a qualy lap but i guess its really true the perfect nordschliefe lap doesnt exist.

  • C'mon, don't be a fuckin tool. It was a mistake, it happened, pros make mistakes. Like a pro, he didn't abort the lap and finished it, and it just so happened it was a world record. Youtube posters are soooo lame with their comments on other peoples driving. I watched about 20 minutes of continuous onboard coverage of the 04 French GP last night onboard Schumacher, and guess what, the car placement was slightly different every lap. No race driver is perfect. Get over it. This is a great lap

  • this wasnt the record lap, if you go down to the first comment you see vergers himself saying this wasnt the 6:48 and he fixed the mistake on the first corner. calm down i am well aware no one can be perfect (i have tried lol)

  • Fair enough I guess. Your comment just kind of hit me the wrong way. Now I read it again, and I think the point you were making is you were surprised it was the lap record despite the mistake, you weren't trashing the driver. You're clearly not an idiot, because you didn't reply to me saying I was a rice burner or some other dumb, really misguided insult. You know how much of a cesspool the youtube comments section is, and I was just trying to add some levity..

  • youre not the only affected by youtube stupidity to say the least lol... sometimes its kinda hard to tell if theyre people, spamming programs or apes lmao

  • You go to the motor trend channel and watch onboards of one of my favorite American drivers Randy Pobst lapping Laguna Seca, and people are talking about him like he's some dousch at an autocross... watch that Gan San lap in the RX8 at Laguna Seca, and people are like this guy drives like fucking shit.. comment about driving technique like they have any idea what the fuck they're talking about, but they actually have no appreciation or understanding for what it takes to really go fast in a car.

  • SABINE SCHMITZ

    CAN DO THAT

    IN A VAN!

  • Yes, in 10 minutes. Not 6'48.

  • Sense of homour much?

And btw she couldn't do it in 10 minutes or under in a van.

So you're no fun. And you're wrong.

(and my guess would be not much of a ladies man either. Am I right?)

  • Chap's name is Michael Vergers, Radical's Dutch test driver and 1990 Formula Ford Champ. Car was driven down to the 'Ring from the UK and run in road trim. Latest EVO magazine (issue 136) has a full article. 460hp 2.8L V8, 680kg. Deeply Impressive stuff.

  • It's a shame that the quality of the video is so low!

  • wow .

  • Blimey this chap knows the Ring really really well.

    Who is he?

6.48 for a street racing car blimey thats nearly in Porche 956 territory.

This record will be incredibly hard to beat.

  • Radical races in the LMP classes in ALMS and LMS where they're not seeing podiums that often.

If Audi or Peugeot decided to make something like Radical's cars, then they'd probably be able to.

  • This is all the more amazing as the car was completely set up for street driving, raised suspension, road leagl tyres, the lot. They even drove it all the way from Peterborough to the Ring going over speed bumps and getiing on and off the ferry with no problems

  • I wanna see a street legal Audi R15. hehe...

  • Another lap record to the British manufacturers! Woo hoo well done Radical.

  • If only he hadn't screwed his braking at turn 1, I assume He could have be way more faster, like 6,46 or 6,45

  • it was run with semi-slicks... I'm not saying that it's really competition, but I can only imagine what a Caparo T1 with the same tires would do :O

  • The Caparo no doubt is a heavier car and many faster cars than the Caparo have failed to beat the 7minute barrier.

This little Radical weighs less than 800Kg and has nearly 500bhp from its V8, nowonder it holds the current lap record of 6.48.

the Caparo im sure would do well but you should not forget 6.48 is almost Porche 956 territory and they were out and out racers designed to lap the Ring in 6.11

  • The sound of the engine is just amazing! Love every second of it accelerating!

  • Que es un street legal car???? jajajajajaj

Que no sea un coche puramente de competicion deja mucho a que sea un coche de calle, con este coche no puedes salir a la calle ni en Sierra Leona!!!!!

  • man you must be tired of life :) R E S P E C T !!! but lap record? i think stefan bellof drove 6:11 in his porsche

  • yes but on a race lap on a race car

this is a street legal car

  • Yeah, is "street legal" you can drive it on the road but I think you wouldnt 1 for the superhard suspension and other because in the first high bumper iof the cities you will crash and cant move.

  • of course it won't be confortable, but by low you can do it

  • You can offer an option suspension and change clearance

  • this is the record for street legal car..not racing ones..

  • For a street legal car, this is the record

  • FOR THOSE THAT ARE JUST ABOUT TOP WATCH THIS VIDEO.

This is not my Record Lap.

Yes i made a mistake on this practice lap and i then did a lap later that was classified as the 6.48 lap.

I will be personally posting the lap as will EVO Magazine whom with Sport Auto were there to verify the lap time.

    Thank you

    Michael Vergers (v6rge)

  • I knew the car went faster. So you're the driver I guess? I used to drive karts in Brasil, but had to give it up when I moved to the USA.

  • @v6rge I just have to say that your driving in this and other cars is incredible!

To drive that hard on such a demanding circuit... you must have balls the size of Nigel Mansell's helmet!

  • @v6rge ..Man, congrats !!! I'm a big fan of you!...I see your loop in nurgurgring over and over again! God keep bleesing you man !!
