The Iranian shah from the Qajar dynasty

is being transported in time - by magic (you see the chancellor blowing) to the period of his father, Naserroddin-shah.

It is a remarkable movie, congenial in its conception, cause it is in fact a "cinematographic collage" in which Makhmalbaf incorporates scenes from other important Iranian movies starting with the first one, mute movie.
