Cardfight!! Vanguard - Detailed How to Play [2/2]

For intercept, can I 'downgrade' my Vanguard and use it to block? For example, blaster blade is above my marron as a vanguard. Can I use blaster blade to block (intercept) and use marron as my vanguard instead?

It feels so Weiss Schwarz to me, but the game duration is much shorter. After this tutorial, I find the game quite easy to play.

But, Yu-Gi-Oh! is for me because I like to use traps and spells to outsmart people (yeah I know that everything is so Inzektor, Rabbit, Zenmai/Wind-Up with so many OTKs). I might join in the party, but that would mean investing a new card game.

Yu-Gi-Oh is my passion, but this game has a interesting concept. However, the games might be too short.

@Flamex28 Yes it does it is just for some cards u need to turn damage cards for a 'skill'

and if all damage cards are turned u can't use the 'skill' anymore so it does count as damage.

You don't take damage for other units and rear guards?

hmm, wow. i didn't catch that when i read the quick manual. had no idea that heal triggers only activated if you have more damage than your opponent.... and i always thought the cards that were healed went to your hand but i guess not. XD good thing i watched this. definitely cleared my questions. :)

@Doreen1510 The two US intro packs come with 8 grade 3 cards. In booster packs for US set 1, only the fifth card (the rare slot) might have a grade 3 card.

In the english rule book it said you add the the shield to the power of the unit that is being attack like the anime. So you don't really subtract the power from the attacking unit am I right. I'm a new player just want to get things straight.

I Thot When One Checks For A Drive Trigger, If It Reveals A Trigger, It Is Activated And Placed Into Drop Zone, But Player 2 Didn't Do That. Pls Check The Error, Ty.

Damage Checks go to player's damage zone.

why not make a video on how to build a ultimate deck of all the clans except shadow paladin that clan creeps me out. And i am saying this if a Vanguard fighter wants to use the deck go ahead if you use that clan you aren't a real Vanguard Fighter.

I dont get it... Why 4 criticals? Shouldn't it be 2 since its only 1 crit' trigger?

@DarrylChang its because gancelots counterblast gives him not only power boost, but a critical. The guy activated the ability twice, so it is plus 2 critical, then he drew a critical trigger so plus 3 to the one is 4 critical damage, learned about his ability from the anime :).

@TeamShockWave2 bcause it's his vanguard tht doesn't retire unless it has 6 damage and with no vanguard you lose.
