Traffic reports are useless anyway, might as well make them entertaining, or just don't do them at all.

I doubt much more than 1% of the population actually benefits from traffic reports. Traffic is what it is, you almost never have any way to avoid it.

I think the real reason traffic reports are popular is because it makes people feel like the news is about them, even though the info is ultimately useless.
