Rayfreem has it right. I was also in the studio the night DOC wrote this. DOC recorded it. Breed rode around with the tape for cpl hours and knocked it out with little punch-in. Breed was magic! Recorded and produced at one of many Erotic's "Black Hole" studios off 75&Ross in downtown Dallas.
pff guys doc hs lost hes voice for over 20 years now of course hes not rapping on this album , he is the writter . But he says he is going to do surgery in italy to get hes voice back , and released an album after dres detox
Fellas I can clear this up because I was actually there. I was a keyboard player for Erotic during those years. Hell I'm the one playing bass line! no shit! DOC actually wrote this song but Erotic wrote several others on this album. We'd record the trax with E doing the rap, give Breed a tape, he'd ride around and learn it, then come back and nail it! Yes, Breed was a great writer but this one was ghosted. We recorded the original with DOC and Breed learned it the same way.
@swishablowa420 boy, I could send you a screenshot of Breed's answer. Anyway, here we are, two guys who like DOC and Breed and you wanna start a fight over some BS? Now that is disrespectful to both of them.
Breed answered me Mar 29 2008 and that's that, fool
@swishablowa420 our comments are removed and i like that since i am not on youtube to beef
I asked Breed about the DubCNN interview and that i was exited to hear both were in ATL to work together. His answer was "As a matter of fact we are.THANX"
And swish, I will leave you with that "Digga Bigga Ditch"
@dannyeok The original song is on MC Breeds "Flatline" cd from 1997. Breed rapped and wrote all the verses, N the D.O.C. is on the chorus. In this remake it's Dre on the chorus N six-two rappin Breeds lines, words for word. Thats why I say its a rip off. They should have left the classic original version alone, or at least gave MC Breed some credit for it.
@swishablowa420 I've heard the original, and the D.O.C. was a ghost writer for many rappers like snoop and breed since he lost his voice. Six two was discovered by the D.O.C. and since he wrote the hook and most of the rap for M.C. Breed the song was his. I am sure Breed was cool with it too.
@dannyeok Who the hell are you to say D.O.C. wrote Breeds verses in that song?? That was the only song with D.O.C. on the entire album. Not too mention, that song was not only produced by D.O.C., it was also produced by Erotic D and Breed himself. And the album as a whole was produced by Jazze Pha and Ant Banks. So to say D.O.C. wrote his lines is stupid. Breed has 10 other albums of lyrical crack that have nothing to do with D.O.C.. Why would he need him to write his verses in that one song?
@swishablowa420 I know Tracy Curry. I used to do videos in Dallas/Ft Worth, and talked to Erotic D and the D.O.C after they made Helta Skelta. I am trying to do his documentary on his possible voice restoration surgery in Italy in a few months too. MC Breed is a good MC, but it is well know that since no one wants to hear Tracy's voice that he's been ghostwriting for many MC's. Mainly Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and MC Breed. If you don't believe me, look it up.
@dannyeok The D.O.C. never wrote anything for breed! D.O.C had ghost writers for himself on most his songs, so hows he gonna ghost write for someone else?? Erotic D made the Helter Skelter album from scratch with barely any help from D.O.C., lyrics and all! BTW, Six-Two wasn't discovered by D.O.C., he was found by Erotic D, and to this day is still a "loan rapper" from Erotic to D.O.C... Google search "Erotic D interview". Theres a 3 part interview on "dubcnn" that you would proly appreciate.
@swishablowa420 D.O.C. did Ghost write for many people including most of N.W.A, Snoop Dog and he wrote alot for Dre, you can look it up yourself if you want, D.O.C. is a mad writer, give the man props...
