I have only ever met a very few people from the internet as I find it extraordinarily daunting - not sure why. I mean, as a truckie (you people say trucker), I am meeting people (customers etc) daily. As a ham radio operator, I get to meet people I yarn to on air from time to time and it is never an issue.

For some reason, meeting people from this part of my life leaves me as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

i get a little nervous myself. i think chatting on the internet, people let themselves loose because of the anonomitity (is that a word?). then when you actually meet someone from online, you wonder if you are going to live up to their expectations of the person they think you are. wow, i'm not sure if i made any sense at all...
