@Joshreuben77776 it is not possible coz my cousin also do the same job. many problems like stretching, pulling and twisting , and it is extremely hot. only they can touch it. and they do wear gloves but not for all stages.
Just tried some today, not bad, but now I know why it tastes like forearm...I wonder how many arm hairs make it into the final product? Methinks I prefer modern food manufacturing methods...just me though.
They converted one kilogram Sugar to one kilometer of Sugar thread and coated with roasted besan on it. Amazing job make Fine sweets. Some Sweet maker use fifty fifty Besan and Maida to give whiteness in Sohan papdi.
The best SOHAN PAPADI I HAVE EATEN WAS MADE WITH BADAM (almond) POWDER, DESI GAY KA GHEE and KESAR.." NIMBU KA SAT " WAS ADDED TO SUGAR SYRUP TO MAKE IT MORE ELASTIC . THE SUGER THREAD WAS MORE FINER.
@AleighSimlavi this is not a recipe home video, even video doesn't say to teach u the recipe, this shows a factory making of The dish. I dont think its easy to make soan papadi at home. They are taking the sugar syrup which is very thick and when its hot they are streaching it many folds like this and then adding the chickpea flour and clarified butter mix (2:1)to it and again streaching and folding many times. :)
@AleighSimlavi I dont think the title said recipe. And if you cannot appreciate the skill of the workers and think this is the worst video ever, what is there to be said?
@kuchimuri Yaar I had this yesterday and the thing just melted in my mouth!! Damn.. I had no idea for that one piece of satisfaction, so much was involved.
i had this sweet once from an indian friend of mine. nice video. the men are wearing plastic caps and gowns. but i am curious as to why they aint wearing gloves. they work so hard tho! thanks for posting this video!

What a dumb video. Reminds me of the silent movie days. No commentary except the noise and a few disconnected words. Can you talk??

Worst video ever seen!
Sometime I hate youtube being free, free youtubers upload crappy videos like so. This nutcase wasted 10:01 of my life!

Wouldn't it b easier 2 add Besan and ghee 2 candy floss machine lol
sanamji2 2 years ago
@sanamji2 No, becuz that won't give the stringed effect that Soan papdi has. It will be chunky instead of stringy and fibery.
Desi4evah 1 year ago
now, eating soan papdi is not going to b the same. Lots of hard work goes into making this. I don't mind paying the price for it.
