  • Did they even mention JEH's name? Wow that's cold!

  • @luvbites23 he wasn't really famous at the time

  • @zoszo19sl He had been acting since he was a child. Bad News Bears, Breaking Away and some other movie roles here and there. He was just underrated.

  • @misuniversal watched today instead of studying final. LMAO

  • I just started reading the book. I haven't made a really dent in it, but it's so good. :) I can't wait to finish it, because that means I can watch the movie.

  • I didn't know Jane Adams was in this. I love her in hung and I want to see her in The Lie which is coming out soon. It's been getting some really great reviews. bitly .com/pYBpFK

  • one of the best movie trailers of all time

  • Some of it was filmed at my school!

  • Kate Winslet should win an Oscar for this film !

  • Fantastic trailer. Pure cinema.

  • is it just me or does Patrick Wilson look like a young Paul Newman?

  • this is not a good preview i still don't know wat the hell this movie is about

  • @aa36105 agree so he sleeps with two women so what

  • i dont remember this whole movie, except that it was INCREDIBLe, the ending o_o

  • I remember telling everyone I knew how fantastic "In the Bedroom" was: they all thought I was watching porno. Then, that same director made a movie called "Little Children". Didn't help my case much.

  • How is Jackie Earle Haley not in the trailer for this movie. He was the best part, hand down. People who watch this trailer and decide to see the movie will not fully understand what they are getting themselves into.

  • OMG it's NiteOwl and Rorschach!

  • @phantomlover62992

i came here to search for Rorschach but instead i could only spot Nite Owl... which i didnt even know plays in this movie too O_O

  • i'm doing the same thing..:-D

  • @Chelebi96 like if brought is the past tense of bring

  • i loved the movie but can't stand the trailer - it makes no reference to any of the other storylines. ronnie is a big part of the movie, there is much more going on than their affair. awesome movie though

  • where is ronnie??!!!

  • i have no idea what the main characters have to do with the pedofile in the movie. i think i have to watch it again

  • That literally has every great part but doesn't ruin any of it

  • (3)If I'm addicted to crack and my addiction for it is unbearable I still have the choice to pick up the needle. These people have the choice. Not mentally, but physically and that is what I'm trying to argue. I don't want to lose sight of what I wanted to point out to AliminiumHydroxide. and that is that they are people just like you and I who might have had traumatic pasts that involved them being abused in a variety of ways but that does not, In any way, excuse them for continuing that abuse.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "excuse them for continuing that abuse." Right---and if we want them to STOP continuing abuse, we are going to have to say to them "You are not a monster---you did not choose these feelings, but you have to choose to get help."

  • (2)ur referring to the mother, father, brother, sister, and any family member who has a beautiful, fun, and happy child. Just picture some kid crying and begging for their mommy while a full grown man is touching them. sorry, but thats the image i live with when your telling me we need to accept these pedo's. it's sick, its disgusting, its the worst possible thing you can do and there is no excuse, no excuse What so ever.

  • why is everyone arguing ?

  • all i see is @ @ @ @ @ @ @ it must be a pedophile trying to defend the act here.

  • @Constellashun no kidding xDD

  • @Constellashun If you're referrring to the argument I'm having with this other person who is incapable of reading, then you are as stupid as they are. Read the comments---THEN make a reply. A donkey with brain damage could read my posts and figure out that I'm not defending pedophiles. I'm saying if we keep looking at them like monsters, they won't get help---and they'll just keep on molesting. Is that what you want?

  • @lloo567 Give it a rest.

  • @Constellashun Um, douchebag---nobody is forcing you to read these comments.

  • @lloo567 you got it pedophile..save it for someone who gives a shit.

  • Patrick Wilson is look like the young Paul Newman ^_^

  • buen drama aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • whoever made this trailer wanted to make sure nobody watches this movie.

  • this movie is amazing, the end made me cry

  • Watched it last night. LOVED IT!

  • I hate the part where he chops his penis off at the end...

  • @AUSNick87 dont spoil

  • This trailer is a-m-a-z-i-n-g and the movie is really really good, one of my favorite!

  • Have no idea what the film is about even after watching the trailer

  • gahhhh this is still one my favorite-cut trailers of all time

  • Just got done watching the video, It was A M A Z I N G One flaw though, THERE WERE RAUNCHY PARTS, i know almost every good movie has this, but CMON this was just sickining. Besides that AMAZING :P thumbs up if you agree.

  • I liked this film in facebook and it said "______ likes little children"

  • @Fishilisation pervert! YOU PERVERT!!! BE CAREFUL YOUTUBE A PERVERT LIVES AMONG US! lol jk

  • @Fishilisation HAHAHAH!

  • This film made me realise that the way we treat sex offenders is wrong. I'm not saying they deserve our sympathy. But I think we should try and understand their warped way of thinking, instead of making them outcasts because that way we learn nothing and we just damage an already damaged human being.

  • @AliminiumHydroxide Its not necessarily that they're damaged human beings however we can't accept them the way we might accept a drug addict who has quit his habit. We can look into their past and see what kind of lives they've lead, what kind of parents they had, and maybe with that information we can divulge a possibility as to why they are who they are, and why they did what they did. But I say we treat them too kind considering that their adults who rape and abuse small children.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 I can see where you are coming from, but the way Ronnie is treated in the film has no beneficial effect on him. In reality, the way others interact with Ronnie would isolate him and eventually become depressed. This only damages his mind further and can lead to self-harm, self-mutilation (which is what happens in the film, suicide, or in a worst case scenario he would reoffend.

  • @AliminiumHydroxide The worst case scenario Would be him re-offending so to some degree we need to understand these people, but only to a degree. When Ronnie entered the swimming pool, He should have known better .What did he expect when he's a convicted sex offender and he's swimming with a pool full of children? When a child is assaulted in such a way they are scarred for life. Why should society accept a sex offender so he can get on with his life while a child may never get on with theirs ?

  • @JolinXXQuest1 Remember that Ronnie never molested a child, he was jailed for indecent exposure. Yes that would be incredibly traumatic for a child, but I believe that children would be far more affected by other things. For instance, parental abuse or divorce or a parental abandonment.

Back on topic, parents whose children have been molested by a pedophile need to be sensitive, but they also need to teach the child that what happened to them was wrong and shouldn't have happened.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 Remember that Ronnie never molested a child, he was jailed for indecent exposure. Yes that would be incredibly traumatic for a child, but I believe that children would be far more affected by other things. For instance, parental abuse or divorce or a parental abandonment.

Back on topic, parents whose children have been molested by a paedophile need to be sensitive, but they also need to teach the child that what happened to them was wrong and shouldn't have happened.

  • @AliminiumHydroxide Look, I'm sure once ur kid gets molested( god forbid )you'll change ur opinion on everything u just said.I realize that Ronnie never molested a child but I'm speaking in general for the sick people that did.The actions Ronnie took against himself in the end were a bit steep but I we can't really blame the community for having the safety of their children in mind. and Parental divorce or abandonment don't even come close to the long-term effects of a physical or sexual abuse.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 My best friend was molested and it messed her up for years. But irrational people such as yourself are what keep this problem going in the first place. Indecent exposure worse than divorce? I'd rather see some guy's penis for five seconds than go through the crap I went through with my parents. When it comes to kids, people lose their ability to think straight. Don't give me that "when you have kids"--being a parent is not an excuse for losing your logic.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "Why should society accept a sex offender so he can get on with his life while a child may never get on with theirs ?" You're talking in irrational extremes and it's a VERY tired remark. The point isn't to "accept" the offender like nothing happened. That's like saying, "You don't want me to spank my kid? What should I do, give him a medal?" Blowing off what they did wouldn't work---but is treating them like Hitler working any better? No. It just makes them psychotic and (cont)

  • @lloo567 (cont) even more likely to reoffend. It's just like alcoholics, over-eaters and substance-abusers. When their lives get stressful, they immediately reach for their "drug". So how smart is it of us to make their lives more stressful---and then we say that we care so much about kid? Maybe if we didn't demonize these people, they would go and get help BEFORE they mess up some kid. We need to think about prevention, not about what to do when the horse is out of the gate.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "however we can't accept them the way we might accept a drug addict who has quit his habit." Which is why the problem continues. You don't get to judge these people because you don't know what you'd do in their shoes. I don't judge alcoholics because I have no idea what it is like to crave a drink. I've had alcohol, but I don't shake and sweat when I see a bottle. You and I can sit here and say "I would never hurt a child". Of course we wouldn't: we're not ATTRACTED to them.

  • @lloo567 I'm not trying to be irrational here,I'm just saying that it's an incredibly difficult situation to think about when you have a child who just wants to be a kid, who just wants to enjoy the childhood that they only get once and never have to worry about the next time they'll be molested. I wasn't referring to indecent exposure when i said sexual abuse is worse than divorce, I was referring to being molested.Look,The comments I make and things i say come from a place of experience -cont-

  • @JolinXXQuest1 -cont- so if I sound ignorant its only becuz I'm biased but society doesnt judge & alienate pedophiles because their simply attracted to a child, we do it becuz these ppl act on their urges.I dont think u understand why we demonize these people. Its cause they offended THEN ask for help.It wuld b great if it were the other way around. its a joke 2 claim pedophiles fuck up little kids lives cause they couldn't help themselves or because society was being 2 harsh on them.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "society doesnt judge & alienate pedophiles because their simply attracted to a child" I can't believe you were able to write that with a straight face. You know absolutely well how people feel about people who are attracted to kids. We think they are sick freaks. Think I'm wrong? Go tell a friend or co-worker you are into kids and see what happens. See if they give you any compassion when you tell them "I'm attracted but I've never acted on it".

  • @lloo567 Well you just proved my point, " We think they are sick freaks." u said so urself, that we need to be more understanding of these ppl yet thats all you can come up with? and No, I don't think you're wrong. I think you are absolutely right. Listen man, I totally get where your coming from. I hope you can get where I am too. I just really wanna see a world where sick stuff like this doesn't exist. I don't think that our differences in opinion will bring us any closer to that.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 You don't understand what I'm saying. I'm saying that society regards them as demons BEFORE they offend. All they have to do is admit those feelings and society looks at them like they are evil. That's why they don't seek help: they don't want to be looked at as monsters. If people found out they were getting help, they would slash their tires, torch their house and god only knows what else.

  • @lloo567 I dont know how to hit this home with you.Do you think there is a crime worse that sexual violence against a child?Do you believe that the psychological pain of molestation ever ends?Do you think that these children do something to deserve this abuse?I'm sorry if I prioritize the health and well-being of the victim rather than the perpetrator.I'm sorry if I can't see why we should accept these ppl so they have easier lives. I must have forgotten that kids ask for this to happen 2 them.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 Do you possibly have some mental problem that prevents you from understanding what you are reading? If you would pull your head out of your ass for five seconds and actually READ my fucking post, you would see that I'm saying that if we stop demonizing them, it will make it easier for them to seek treatment---which will PREVENT more kids from getting molested. That's my goal, to PREVENT kids from getting molested. I'm not putting anybody over anybody (cont)

  • --I'm saying, we stop treating the people who have these feelings like monsters so they WILL seek help. Goddam, you must have driven your teachers crazy because you don't listen worth a shit. I'll say it again, real simple. Quit calling them monsters---more of them will seek treatment---less kids get molested. Fucking christ, you don't listen. If you REALLY gave a shit about the kids, you would WANT the pedophiles to seek help. They won;t do that as long as we look at them like monsters.

  • @lloo567 I never said that these people are monsters because they aren't.Read my very first comment to AliminiumHydroxide. As a society we don't demonize the person, we demonize the actions that they take first. If someones trying to get help for a problem they have then, hey! who cares as long as they don't offend. As soon as they put a finger on a child, they are called monsters BECAUSE they did a monstrous thing.Once you offend, seeking help isn't enough because their actions are unforgivable.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "As a society we don't demonize the person, we demonize the actions that they take first." As I said before, you know that's not true. If that were true, then people would be able to walk around say, "I am attracted to kids, but I have never acted on it." You know damn well that person would be run out of town by the end of the day. His friends and even relatives would find it hard to speak to him. People would bombard his boss with letters, etc---(cont)

  • @lloo567 such as "How can you employ a person like this? I will never do business with you as long as he works there." That persons house would be vandalized, his car smashed. Victims of molestation would want to take their frustrations out on him. His life would be turned upside down. If you really believe what you said, tell your friends you're attracted to kids. Then tell them you were just kidding---see what happens.

  • @lloo567 (1)Look,you keep saying that I cant read but u havnt listened to a thing i've said.I mean,ur responding to my comments but your saying the same thing over and over.No one is going to openly come out and admit that they like children and if they did, then they deserve to be criticized because it is NOT the same thing as being addicted to drugs and it is Not the same thing as having no choice like being gay.An adult has free will to be in a consensual relationship with someone of the same

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "and admit that they like children and if they did, then they deserve to be criticized because it is NOT the same thing as being addicted to drugs and it is Not the same thing as having no choice like being gay." Read what you just wrote. Having sex with a child might be a choice---but being attracted to a child is not a choice. It's a psychological problem they need to get help for. Are you seriously saying that a person can choose an attraction?

  • @lloo567 (1)I'm not saying they have a choice in the attraction, at all. I'm saying they have No choice but it's completely, Completely, different from being homosexual or heterosexual because you're involving a child and no matter what you say that will FOREVER be looked down upon in society. People like me see pedophilia for what it is, children as young as 2 years old being raped and molested. I mean...Do i have to say anything else?? when u say society needs to accept these people more,

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "People like me see pedophilia for what it is, children as young as 2 years old being raped" Wrong. Pedophilia is the attraction, it is not the act of raping a 2 year old. You might as well say that getting mad at your husband is the same as killing him.

  • @lloo567 People are afraid of what they don't understand and they don't understand pedophilia and when people fear something, they distance themselves as much as possible from it, to a point where being able to sympathize with it is impossible. I think our little argument here was interesting but I'm done commenting now. You've given me a lot to think about so thank-you but I'm not persuaded. I don't understand pedophilia and I never will, simple as that.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 Nobody asked you to understand it. Just do what we all have to do: put our own selfish feelings aside so we can have a better society where kids don't get molested. If you don't want that, then there is nothing left to say.

  • @lloo567 (2)sex and they have the choice to pick up the drugs in the first place, it is completely different when you have a non-consensual child. How can you defend the dignity of these people when they have forever taken the dignity of a child? I'll spell it out so maybe it sticks this time, a C-H-I-L-D, not some quick fix, a living, breathing Child.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "How can you defend the dignity of these people when they have forever taken the dignity of a child?" Show me where I ever mentioned their dignity.

  • @lloo567 ( Don't think i'm crazy cuz I commented so much this time, i just had alot to say xD )

Uhmmm isn't ur whole argument defending the dignity of these people?-google-Dignity is a term used in moral, ethical, and political discussions to signify that a being has an innate right to respect and ethical treatment. ... ..no?

  • @JolinXXQuest1 -----.I'm sorry if I can't see why we should accept these ppl so they have easier lives.----- From what I read, he's not saying to accept them so they'll have easier lives. He's saying accept them so they'll go get help, which will keep kids from getting attacked. And I agree that these people can't choose the attraction. If they could choose the attraction, they could just choose to stop feeling it. They wouldn't need treatment.

  • @mrmuffpotter well from what i've read he's saying we need to treat them better so they will try and seek help, and to treat them better don't we have to make their lives easier? and to make their lives easier isn't it a slap in the face to the countless victims of sexual abuse? I mean, I guess it's not their fault if they rape a kid because society didn't accept them enough right?

  • @mrmuffpotter Exactly. Accepting them doesn't mean telling them it's okay to hurt a kid. There are a lot of people who have not offended yet, but they will not seek help because they know how society will respond to them. So who ends up paying? The kid. And people keep pretending they care about kids, but if they really did, they would want the people to get help. They don't want people to get help, they just want to vent their anger.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 "The comments I make and things i say come from a place of experience -cont-" That doesn't matter. While the anger and hurt that a person has is understandable, we have to see the big picture, and that is trying to solve the problem. We can't be logical with a mind full of rage. As long as we view these people as low-life scumbags, they will be too ashamed to seek help--and the problem will continue.

  • This is probably the most natural performance by fantastic Kate Winslet. A marvelous performance yet again, but I don't know. This felt like the subtlest and most 'real' performance she's given. Also, Jennifer Connelly should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress. And the film should have been nominated for Best Picture. It's fantastic. Really reflects the modern life and proved that the adults are as immature-or probably more immature-than their own children.

  • "She's trapped! She has a choice: she can either accept a life of misery or she can struggle against it. And she chooses to struggle. She fails in the end, but there's something beautiful and even heroic in her rebellion. No, no, it's not the cheating. It's the hunger. The hunger for an alternative, and the refusal to accept a life of unhappiness"

^ Best part of the film hands down. The revolt against the absurdity of life.

  • I finally saw this movie and it was great. Though this trailer might be even better :)

  • snezica26: well, pal, u r in a VERY small % of ppl & critics that did not think this film was transcendent... oops, I'm sorry, considering your cinematic-frozen brainstem, maybe "transcendent" is too multi-syllabic for u 2 comprehend. 3 Osdar nom's. should have inc'd. 2 more - Best Picture & Best Musical Score.

  • Kate Winslet + sex scenes = me watching her movies =D hehe

seriously, she does really great sex scenes (the reader movie)

  • That seemed almost like a horror movie trailer.

  • im not old enough to see this movie.. (cause of some inappropriate parts) but whatss this movie about?

  • @alienapatricia

in a nutshell, there are basically two plotlines throughout the movie. one focuses on a story of adultery between to people, both parents and both in unhappy marriages. , while the other focuses on the story of a known pedophile.

  • not my kinda of movie (I hate Oscar films aka boring and pretentious) but I admit, I LOVED this!

  • Rose from Titanic 1:08 :D

  • This movie sucked, don't watch it if you don't wanna see lonely housewives bored with their life and the struggles of a pedophile LOL

  • i love this trailer.

  • the trailer does not show what the movie is like at all.

and in the german version there are scenes missing :(

  • didn't see Jackie Earle Haley in the trailer

  • it seems so stereotypical; i need new movies in my life

  • Great performances from all actors, including Earle Haley (and mother) in the role of pedophile, despite the grueling difficulties of that role. All of them (all of us) are, emotionally, Little Children.

  • Last night i saw it... and i just realized, do i want i life of frustrations and unstatisfied desires? I mean, i'm just 17 but it makes me think that i'll grow up suffering just like my parents...

  • @daytripperarrabal You have time to think about that. And remember, the life,is the one you chose and make it yourself.

  • @daytripperarrabal if you read the title it says little children in the movie its about adults cheating and pedo's getting bullied in which case its very immature and a childish act and at the end of the movie the morale of the story is there's nothing more important than what you have now so grow the fk up. your 17 you got a whole life ahead of you to make your own decisions just realize that what you got now and in the future that you cherish it especially ur kids for a brighter future

  • watching this just made think kate winslet is a slut but this movie makes me think about my ex girlfriend alot....in a bad way, a way that i fear in most relationship....CHEATING! other than that the movie is great

  • @PimpingRice What? How is she a slut?

  • @horrorfinatic i didnt say shes a slut all i said was after watching this THINK shes a slut ;D

  • @PimpingRice But WHY? Do you mean the character, or the actress herself?

  • @horrorfinatic the character of this movie makes me instill a image of her thinking that she's a slut but im not implying that she is one

  • i was actually in this movie the pool scene idk i was 5 dont know if u see me or not but they filmed it in jersey... the part i was in

  • @gopcheerchicky must have been awesome :)

  • a hard critic to americans ......

  • what about the child molestor ?

  • 1:26 Paul Newman back from the dead, right here

  • yea the trailer is stupid ... im stitting there kinda bored, i like to pick movies from the shelf and watch the trailers to see if it looks any good or if its a piece of shit. now this retarded trailer doesnt give me the slightest idea of what the movie is about so... ppl say the movie's great but trailer's like wtf SO too bad imma watch OLD SCHOOL UNRATED

  • @leviathan94xxx That's exactly what the movies about...if you couldn't read between the lines and figure out that it's about an affair then clearly you didn't watch the trailer. It's not some elaborate plot line...it's an everyday life movie and the trailer depicted that well.

  • This trailer is stupid...

  • I love it how they used the sound of the approaching train instead of music. Really underlines the subtle dangers for their ordinary every day life.

  • The music for this trailer reminds me of the music for the "Inception" trailer.

  • great movie

  • Nice Asian women *lushfmlk.info*

  • I didn't expect much, and was blown away. :) magnificent film.

  • a very intense film. kate winslet is amazing as usual :)

  • This is a amazing movie, the book is great as well.

  • CHIIIIIIICK FLIIIIIIICK!

  • The ending was so creative whoever wrote this movie is genius, great movie.

  • You seriously have to be a first grade moron to not get what the movie is about. Go watch american pie or something, that should suit your intellect better.

  • @quathar wow just because someone may not get this particular trailer you call them a moron, what a kind person you are

  • I thought this movie was about a paedophile who castrates himself... I am so confused.

  • @RichardForkins The content: "A paedophile who catsrates himself" ? So primitively ? No:

In the meantime I have the film on DVD. The film is absolutely "geil" (cool) but not for underage people....:) Regards from Germany !

  • WTF

  • I think it is pretty obvious what the movie is about by what the video shows. A married man has an affair knowing its wrong but gives in to his desires to escape his normal married life. Looks really good!

  • it's weird how this trailer gives you the wrong genre for the movie, it became like a suspense or thriller. lol! anyway absolutely love the movie-for me better than american beauty, and it's haunting, and i'm checking it out in the internet! lol!

  • good movie, but a horrible trailer.. :/

  • Wut?

  • For people saying the trailer gives you nothing to go by... you are completely oblivious and not fit to watch any intellectual film. Just go watch Clueless. Quite fitting :D

  • amazing movie!!

  • You know I'm sick of these fucking trailers with their fucking repetative sounds in the background making me want to kill things

  • @gingerbreadcorpses Do yourself first, please.

  • @DinoAgent69 That was unnecessary.

  • @gingerbreadcorpses Yeah... This is actually a really great movie, but my god, the trailer sucks donkey balls!

  • @gingerbreadcorpses =)) i hear you! :))

  • This trailer is great but it makes the movie out to be a thriller. Which it isn't.

  • I agree this trailer really gives you nothing to go by. It looks boring, but since I've heard many people talk about it I am going to watch it. Also, I have an open mind so that's another reason why I am going to watch this movie. So far, all I can say it that this movie is wonderfully casted. In fact, it's on right now (just starting). Thank you. Take care. Peace.

  • Fine film.

Wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is.

  • Excellent trailer, can't wait to see the film

  • 0:40 = so cute :)
