@MASHDOTCOM dude.. it's written by the exact same person (Masashi Kishimoto) and the anime is only based on the original source (manga) not for fillers though. in the manga it's still named Naruto not Naruto shippuden but instead it's called the Part 2 of the series.

Naruto was under Jirayia's tutorship and Jirayia shown him a bit of being a sage so it was really a toad that Naruto gave a form when requested for claws and teeth so he could grab the one tail Shukaku and since the nail tails was the only beast Naruto knew of that was the only one he could create an image of. :)
