She has talent, but I think is not necessary playing piano so queeckly to be better, and I think for her is easy to play only on one side like she is doing.

Umi is doing good! She had a Bach Competition and she is going to perform with Desert Symphony in Palm Desert on Dec 11th. We love Lang Lang. He is amazing,,,!!

Thank you Mrs. Garrett for sending me the complete version of Gnomenreigen. Umi is truly a phenomenal child prodigy. This has got to be genetic. I also have the music for Persichetti's three Toccatinas. I remember that it was the commissioned work for the University of Maryland's International Piano Competition in the 1980's. She is truly advanced for her age.

Persichetti is such a difficult composer! So well done on playing his music so wonderfully :) Its amazing to see someone of your age playing the music that isn't so common. Young pianists always go for Mozart, and Beethoven and the same old same old piece which are great, but so overdone. It shows such a great musical maturity when you can step away from being cliche, and instead perform weird and different music!

Well done and I really look forward to hearing more from you!
