  • I'm just learning about airbrushes. Do you use a water-based, urethane, or some other paint? Which brand would you recommend for painting vinyl? Thanks.

  • let me ask you a question, i want to paint my door panel but i am not really sure if it is made of vinyl or not, i know i have some fabric on it and plastic, but the material on the arm rest and other part in the top corner is made of other type of material that i dont know what it is. so my question is how do i know how vinyl looks like?

  • super

  • Excellent repair job!

  • @tooty008 fitzgeralds restoration. c o m. VLC(cleaner) Paper graining pads. and Fitzgeralds vinylhyde. Clean the area with VLC lay your vinylhyde on real thin with no edges heat til it smokes lightly and then grain it with the paper graining pad. Then dye it.

  • wow.....

  • I could sure go for a chemscreen sammich right about now!

  • I have a 1971 Plymouth Sport fury with a black vinyl dash. The dash has a few long cracks in it and is brittle to the touch where the dash speaker perferations are. Is there a fix for this? If so, how do you repicate the texture? Thank you

  • Wow you are like a dentist! So detailed! Great directions!!!!

  • does this work on say a convertible top for a miata

  • Nice job. Wear your mask and gloves when spraying that SEM texture coat and the dye if it's not waterborne.Especially inside.Lots of VOCs flying around there and you're face is right on top of them

  • Wow !! too fast too serious ! .

  • what fun fight was the driver in?

  • that was good

  • where is your shop located?

  • very good vid made that look easy

  • My purchase from VinylPro did include a one day workshop with Thad, however, I could not afford to go to PA. So, I watched the training videos and read the book. FACT: The videos on YOUTUBE are better than the old footage in the training videos you purchase. SO you are getting good stuff here. You will still need to practice. Also, All vinyl is different and reacts differently..especially to heat. New vinyl is VERY sensitive (Be careful).

  • I am a recent customer of Thad's. He sold VinylPro to a new feller..Mark. So Vinyl Pro of Western Pennsylvania is now somewher in the South. Mark is a good guy and very supportive. The system is good, but, WARNING~ you have to go through your learning curve. Mark will be there to support you. There color matching "Color-Pro" is amazing. The vinyl repairs are stronger than original~if done correctly.

  • A real pro here, believe me this is NOT as easy as this gentleman makes it look, this guy is an artist.

  • great job!! my car got broken into last year and the bastard broke my window so glass hit my dashboard and made like 4 cuts in the dash board. i need to repair it and am trying to get ideas on how it is to fix. nice video

  • @harmpsh Hey Harmpsh: Read my comments on the video. The stuff is not cheap. But Thad does sell minimal kits. The new owner of VinylPro, Mark should be able to help you buy only what you will need for the repair. You mau end up doing your friends repairs. (Charge them!) and making a living~

  • Not only a vinyl repair pro but excellent teacher....no slow talking, stuttering, boring side stories, incomplete information...you need to do tutorial videos about how to do tutorial videos.

  • Your comments are very much appreciated.
