Changes in velocity relative to a camera mounted on an orbiting space vehicle travelling at ~17000mph are obviously going to make objects appear to 'stop' or 'change direction', but that's not the case. If an object truely stopped it would vanish from view in an instant. Changes in trajectory are predictable and expected, due to variation in mass and drag in a PARTIAL vacuum.

There are two objects that I see taking a turn. One is at 1:46, and the other at 4:28. See for yourself! I am not saying they are UFO's but that there are 2 of them.
Look at the objcts that come in from the right, and how they react to the flash of light. It will be more obvious when you watch the 5 X speed version. These are ice particles that react to the firing of the RCS rockets on the Shuttle.
It's pieces of ice from the Shuttle, and their abrupt motion is due to the exhaust from the Shuttle's reaction control system (rcs) rockets. At the moment of the "abrupt turn", you can see a sligt flash of light (the rcs firing) and several other pieces moving past the camera.
One debunking possibility I was thinking of was a lightning circuit completing creating a repulsive magnetic force on the object. I doubt it, but I was searching the depths for a possible reason.
The motion of the objects in the beginning was consistent with the motion as when the spaceshuttle started turning and panting, demonstrating that the shuttle was interfering with the movement and orbit of these ice particles.

The main one is floating upward at 1:41 on the lower left hand corner of the screen.(the 2nd one is off screen) when the thruster fires at 1:47 it pushes both pieces toward the others. The streaks are caused by the slow camera speed. The other piece of ice (that looks like a craft turning away) is hit by whats left of the thrusters push(plumes). It gets hit at an angle(like when you hit a que ball on the left side with another ball.
@ironside619,The ice particles are small...so it looks as if it's a craft far away. If you took a leaf blower and aimed it at the left side of a balloon it would float to the right. But since this is space with no gravity...pushing something once would cause it to keep going.

That flash was the Shuttle turning direction...why would NASA fake their own video clip from STS-48. The clips are on other NASA affiliate websites just look up STS-48. All you gotta do is look.
@Nathaniel1415 If there was a thrust from the space shuttle then the camera angle/shot should also moved because of the thrust, but it didn't happen. Don't tell me the camera was attached to something not part of the shuttle..And what about the streak of light that went after the object changed direction? It looks like it targeted the object and the object just reacts to avoid it..The truth is, they tried to shoot it and the flash was from the weapon fired from the shuttle.

The camera moved 1min 4secs after the thrusters go off. (maybe in space theres somekind of delay?). And the camera did not move because the lady told him to maneuver the craft. it started moving before he confirmed her instructions.
The spec @1:40 on the bottom left-hand corner gets pushed(so fast it vanishes) by the thrusters toward the other spec. and at that time the plumes reaches it also...and makes it turn.
how come that water they dump into space is so fuking bright? i dont buy the "sun light reflection" argument simply because u can see a lot of other highly reflective surfaces of the shuttle itself, and these surfaces dont look as bright

Starting at 1:37 look at the bottom left hand corner about an inch to the right at the object(ice) floating upward. watch closely. when the flash occurs it vanishes! where did it go? it got pushed by the thruster firing and forced toward the other object(ice) in which the force reaches it, and pushes it away at an angle. more proof? hold a ruler up to your screen at the spot the object vanished and angle it with the "so called" weapon streak. IT'S THE SAME OBJECT.
If you watch closely at 1:50 you can see several object moving away from the "blast" coming from the left (thrusters). Are these object also ufo's? Of course not. So, to end this story once and for all, there is not the slightest evidence of ufo activity or alien space craft in this video.
Want to know what causes the seemingly "sudden appearance" of the so called ufo here? It's sunlight reflection of an ice particle (no I am not an official debunker). The 90 degree turn is caused by the thrusters and the lack of air! If a particle would be inside the earth atmosphere, the path would be more curved because of air resistance. Small objects can behave really strange in outer space and for this reason they can be mistaken for a ufo.

I have heard that argument several times (even from scientists) but the fact that the earth position does not change can be explained. First the blast from the thrusters could have been very weak so the large and inert spaceshuttle isn't affected (it only affects tiny little ice particles) and second, maybe the camera isn't fixed to the spaceshuttle and for that reason doesn't move along with the shuttle.
Either way, there is a lot of nonsense out there, but i think its hard for anyone to deny 100% that there is not another live form(s) in our universe.
and we know that the government deny keeping records of encounters, sightings, etc when we know they are.
What is interesting is the on the video we see what looks like stars (others say ice crystals/particles). One appears out of no where, a flash, it turns and moves away quickly (along with a couple of others)..... but the rest of the stars (ice crystals) stays put.
They dumped eariler, and ready for another so says one source. Even then, why did none of the other ice particles or stars turn and fly away... that whole screen should be cleared out after the flash if this was true.

Laser weapons can produce visible light, but light travels so fast that an emission pulse would only be visible as a continous line across the camera sensor. Even then, the pulse would have to be of sufficient duration to register in the first place. Laser emission is nothing like what we see in sci-fi films, and all current weapons require sustained emission to do any damage (remember energy = power x time). Sorry, but there is no laser in this video.

Also in avi format I run it back and forth .. you see at just around the big turn-around .. everything moves in concert .. like on a single acetate sheet. Noticeable only if you slide forward and backwards in time - look for it. Not sure of the significance but it's just too lock-step for it not to be of some significance.

How could it have been "ice crystals" being blown away by the shuttles thrusters? The camera was focused on the earth, meaning it would have been nearly impossible to see anything close it it. The objects must have been much closer to the earth and couldn't have been affected by the shuttle.

The daylight footage that followed had the shuttle passing over land and over clouds. In that footage you can see objects moving in and out of cloud cover, moving in the same direction as the shuttle, but faster. As I said before, much more impressive footage.

I had more than 2 hours of continuous footage from this mission before it was accidently erased. Before this bit the shuttle passed over an impressive thunderstorm in the ocean, and after it, they examine several spinning objects that have apparently fallen off the shuttle. more next msg.

Interesting footage, but the daylight footage of this mission has many more unexplained anomalies. These could be ice particles that jet when they come into sunlight. what you are seeing is multiple races hovering within our "buffer zone" The are Just above our last layer of the atmosphere where the earths gravational pull is at its strongest. Which only an "anti gravity" or vehicle that is creating its own magnetic field and moving freely within it could hover above. The Nasa ship is miles above these objects hovering whithin the orbit that our space satelites and gpds get stuck in.

Let the video fully buffer. Then track through it with your mouse in fast motion.
When you do this it becomes clear you are looking at ice and other debris that came off the orbiter.

All you people who talk about objects 'stopping' and 'turning' have absolutely no concept of relative velocity. Changes in velocity relative to a camera mounted on an orbiting space vehicle travelling at ~17000mph are obviously going to make objects appear to 'stop' or 'change direction', but that's not the case. If an object truely stopped it would vanish from view in an instant. Changes in trajectory are predictable and expected, due to variation in mass and drag in a PARTIAL vacuum.

Look at the objcts that come in from the right, and how they react to the flash of light. It will be more obvious when you watch the 5 X speed version. These are ice particles that react to the firing of the RCS rockets on the Shuttle.

The motion of the objects in the beginning was consistent with the motion as when the spaceshuttle started turning and panting, demonstrating that the shuttle was interfering with the movement and orbit of these ice particles.

the "ice particle" is an okay excuse from nasa, but they never can come up with a good one for other 2 "streaks of light", originally i thought it was an anti-alien spacecraft missle, but then i thought, the streaks came WAY to fast to the upper atmosphere if it came from earth.....so i came up with another idea, maybe we didnt shoot at it....maybe it cam from other spacecrafts not shown in the video....i guess starwars isnt so far'fetch after all

The main one is floating upward at 1:41 on the lower left hand corner of the screen.(the 2nd one is off screen) when the thruster fires at 1:47 it pushes both pieces toward the others. The streaks are caused by the slow camera speed. The other piece of ice (that looks like a craft turning away) is hit by whats left of the thrusters push(plumes). It gets hit at an angle(like when you hit a que ball on the left side with another ball.

@ironside619,The ice particles are small...so it looks as if it's a craft far away. If you took a leaf blower and aimed it at the left side of a balloon it would float to the right. But since this is space with no gravity...pushing something once would cause it to keep going.

you simple fools. check out 1:47.....see that quick flash...thats a thruster firing...notice how after the flash ALL the little bits change direction except for the dots above the horizon because they are stars. thats because its the SHUTTLE changing velocity relative to the peices of space debris. not the debris suddenly getting a life of its own and flying away. @hootyhaha Are you serious? You can hear the astronaut's talking later in the broadcast and the flash of light that is show right before the object turns at 135 degrees. That flash was the Shuttle turning direction...why would NASA fake their own video clip from STS-48. The clips are on other NASA affiliate websites just look up STS-48. All you gotta do is look.

Don't tell me the camera was attached to something not part of the shuttle..And what about the streak of light that went after the object changed direction? It looks like it targeted the object and the object just reacts to avoid it..The truth is, they tried to shoot it and the flash was from the weapon fired from the shuttle.

The camera moved 1min 4secs after the thrusters go off. (maybe in space theres somekind of delay?). And the camera did not move because the lady told him to maneuver the craft. it started moving before he confirmed her instructions.

Starting at 1:37 look at the bottom left hand corner about an inch to the right at the object(ice) floating upward. watch closely. when the flash occurs it vanishes! where did it go? it got pushed by the thruster firing and forced toward the other object(ice) in which the force reaches it, and pushes it away at an angle. more proof? hold a ruler up to your screen at the spot the object vanished and angle it with the "so called" weapon streak. IT'S THE SAME OBJECT.

If you watch closely at 1:50 you can see several object moving away from the "blast" coming from the left (thrusters). Are these object also ufo's? Of course not. So, to end this story once and for all, there is not the slightest evidence of ufo activity or alien space craft in this video.

Want to know what causes the seemingly "sudden appearance" of the so called ufo here? It's sunlight reflection of an ice particle (no I am not an official debunker). The 90 degree turn is caused by the thrusters and the lack of air! If a particle would be inside the earth atmosphere, the path would be more curved because of air resistance. Small objects can behave really strange in outer space and for this reason they can be mistaken for a ufo.

I have heard that argument several times (even from scientists) but the fact that the earth position does not change can be explained. First the blast from the thrusters could have been very weak so the large and inert spaceshuttle isn't affected (it only affects tiny little ice particles) and second, maybe the camera isn't fixed to the spaceshuttle and for that reason doesn't move along with the shuttle.

What is interesting is the on the video we see what looks like stars (others say ice crystals/particles). One appears out of no where, a flash, it turns and moves away quickly (along with a couple of others)..... but the rest of the stars (ice crystals) stays put.
They dumped eariler, and ready for another so says one source. Even then, why did none of the other ice particles or stars turn and fly away... that whole screen should be cleared out after the flash if this was true.

That object is far away from the shuttle, it appears out of nowhere, 2. then heads towards what looks like the sun or lightening, 3. the sun or lightening or whatever it is flashes then the object does a 90 degree turn and takes off like a bat out of hell along with at least 2 more all heading the same direction.
If you listen to the audio again, they are ready to dump - but have not dumped yet - so, it's not from the shuttle dumping. (that sounds funny) LOL

Laser weapons can produce visible light, but light travels so fast that an emission pulse would only be visible as a continous line across the camera sensor. Even then, the pulse would have to be of sufficient duration to register in the first place. Laser emission is nothing like what we see in sci-fi films, and all current weapons require sustained emission to do any damage (remember energy = power x time). Sorry, but there is no laser in this video.

so you mean that the light flashing towards the orb isn't a laseR?.. before your comment i just figuring out what type of laser it is.. is it a "laser beam", a "laser light" a "laser cannon" or just a light that was named laser? even it is not a true laser beam or either the choices, it is still named laser for everyone.. ^^ but maybe that isn't a laser.. maybe a shooting star?

Also in avi format I run it back and forth .. you see at just around the big turn-around .. everything moves in concert .. like on a single acetate sheet. Noticeable only if you slide forward and backwards in time - look for it. Not sure of the significance but it's just too lock-step for it not to be of some significance.

Also, there are 2 'streaks', which most of you are aware of, but look at the right after the 2 'streaks' go into nowhere. Look at the big orb, IT IS PULSATING slowly. Watch the 5x speed version of this clip to see it pulsate a litte faster.

Seems like a trap of some sort. There is a orb that goes down first, then the other orb that gets shot at, goes over to where the other orb went down, as if to say "Im over here! come get me!" then BANG or VWOOSH whatever a plasma cannon sound makes, he gets shot at, decoy baby, decoy!

How could it have been "ice crystals" being blown away by the shuttles thrusters? The camera was focused on the earth, meaning it would have been nearly impossible to see anything close it it. The objects must have been much closer to the earth and couldn't have been affected by the shuttle.

thank you for the full version. watch closley the footage. the object appears to come from earth itself. the object is heading prob. northwards and then stops for a half second just before the thrusters are fired, than it increases its speed and goes prob eastwards. but then the amazing thing happends wich leads me to belive (along with the fact that it comes from earth) this is a "special" event. two missile type object come out of earth's athmosphere, one right at the initial site of the obj.

I had made up mind and decided what had happened during these footages were taken long before. you should have built/tailored your story before jumping on youtube and posting comments aggressively.

The daylight footage that followed had the shuttle passing over land and over clouds. In that footage you can see objects moving in and out of cloud cover, moving in the same direction as the shuttle, but faster. As I said before, much more impressive footage.

come on boy.. did you really think that anyone believed in "daylight" part of your story.. everyone here knows that this footage was also taken in daylight but with a camera sensitive to different part of the spectrum, which is not normally visible to human eye..

I had more than 2 hours of continuous footage from this mission before it was accidently erased. Before this bit the shuttle passed over an impressive thunderstorm in the ocean, and after it, they examine several spinning objects that have apparently fallen off the shuttle. more next msg.

Interesting footage, but the daylight footage of this mission has many more unexplained anomalies. These could be ice particles that jet when they come into sunlight. The others aren't so easily explained. Anyone know if there's Youtube footage of daylight? My tape from the feed got overwritten by my dork roomate a couple of years after it was recorded.
