I loved it! Even if they weren't ever a couple the song still makes sense just showing their friendship and the close bond that they had. Maybe it's just because I'm a teacher, but even if you aren't dating, just telling students that you are close friends with another teacher is sometimes a bad idea and you kind of have to keep your friendship and personal life on the down low to avoid awkward and untrue rumors from spreading amongst the students and parents.

I'd always hoped for this pairing, so when J.K announced Dumbledore's sexuality, I was quite disappointed.

Maybe J.K saw it as a bit cliche so made that dicision about Dumbledore to prevent it.
