  • That was a pretty bad impression. Rather insulting in my opinion...

  • Did a great version man, wish I'd been there. Looks like a lot of fun was had by all.

  • 2nd place?!? I'd like to know who was 1st place. This is an outstanding act.

  • You should have one first place. Awesome.

  • You look like deniro and sound like an essay.

Mad props for the effort though. That would've been so fun.

  • good job. THis is funny.

  • You looked the part well, especially for your age at the time!

  • dude i just pissed myself lol

  • Good job krakowsky. I attached one of my amature attempts. I think my talent is more in the writing than the performing though.

  • dude you must have been a legend after that

  • Good job, very well done

  • wow man! you did it really well!! hahaha!!

  • Wow! That's spot on!

  • Very funny! Great job!!

  • God stuff. I think I know what my next Halloween costume will be after seeing this. I doubt I could pull it off this well, though.

  • haha well done, great job

  • Well done, mate. I am impressed.

  • Great!!!

  • Wow amazing!

  • Great job, man. You were committed...

  • Awesome job... you should take that act to Vegas... lol.

  • To be fair, do you have any idea how hard it is to find a pink 70's style sport jacket and a purple frilled shirt?

Jacket he has is pretty close, could have used some padding to make him look fatter, but the audio impression is not bad at all.

  • To be honest, you can't knock his impression of clifton as a soundalike, even if he don't look like him.

  • Why don't you be quiet or something. I actually liked it because I am a fan of Andy Kaufman and Tony Clifton. And I don't know nothing bout humiliation either!

  • If you only got second, the first place must have really been something, cause you were out of this world. Excellent job, I don't care what the rest of any of these mindless cretins say! Do you work in the industry now?

  • You seem to know alot about humiliation.

Is this from first hand experience?

  • Great job. Tony Clifton is the funniest character ever

    Rip Kaufman

  • The mannerisms were spot on! Great!

  • looks like you could need a shotgun blast to the face :P

  • yawn

  • shut the fuck up man!

  • only 2nd??? lol

  • Waaaayyyy to bouncy here. Gotta make it more subtle. I realize this was 8 years ago, so just take this shoddy advice and go back in time.

  • dude hell yeah!

  • Clifton rocks. When is going to make a come back?

  • Great stuff.

  • that was quite a good tony clifton inpirsonation lol

  • Your a great Clifton!

    Great Costume!

  • He's a shit clifton young fella

You probably don't even know who Andy Kaufman, his bro or Robert Zamuda really are

  • Outstanding! Well-made and delivered performance. You should've stolen first place IMO ;)

  • Haw!

  • Mine might be better..but good portraying the movie.

  • wow that was pretty amazing man, good work, really captured the spirit...

and yes i hope no one there knew who andy kaufman was

  • Did anyone even know who Andy Kaufman was at that school? Amazing job by the way.

...Hopefully No. That's what makes it so funny! He did a good job too, fair play!

  • VERY GOOD!!!!

  • Funny shit

  • good shit!

  • very good

  • Amazing performance man!

  • the genius of this performance is that like when Kaufman originally did this, most people had no idea who Clifton was and therefore had no idea how to react or handle him. This crowd is entertained, shocked and left at times feeling totally awkward. Exactly how a Clifton performance should be. Excellent.

  • Excellent, dude, you should be a comedian!

    Go get it Tiger!

    See you on tv!

  • That was amazing dude well done

  • Did anyone even know who andy Kaufman was at that school? Amazing job by the way.

  • That was amazing! Great job!

  • Wow Justin. I remember that like it was yesterday. Truly funny stuff. I can't believe that was 7 years ago.

    ...This is Craig Larson btw

  • Holy crap, if you really are doing the voice in the dialogue, that's absolutely dead on.

  • it was all lip-synching, the mic wasnt even plugged in. however, most of the dialogue (except for the songs) was my own voice that i was lip-synching to. thats why you dont recognize it :) i guess i have the voice down pretty good if you couldnt tell!!

  • right. this was a lip-synch contest. the video disclaims this at the beginning. thanks for watching.

  • Anyone who has seen the movie will be able to tell that he is miming to the song from the movie itself.

  • Absolutely incredible. I watched the movie again on Friday and you nailed this performance. Great talent!

  • totally insane alter ego

  • im black you asshole

  • oh, my mistake!

    He is not!

    Great act dude :D

  • Is that Andy Kaufman?

  • You sound so close to the movie-clifton that its seamless!

    You will Survi-eeeeeeeeeeeve.

  • great performance !! Bravo !!

  • didn't even sing it yourself?? ummmm

  • very nice !!!

andy lives on because of peeps like you:)

  • nice job mate.

  • You should've won first place.

  • 2 best/ most original comedians alive... Andy Kaufman and Jim Carey

  • Can't go wrong with a bit of Tony

  • If Eric Cartman grew up would he become Tony Clifton? (discuss)

  • OUTSTANDING JOB! I would HATE to have to follow this kid. What a 5 star bundle of talent!

  • the first segment was lip-sync'd

  • indeed. actually, the whole skit was lip-synched. this was a lip-sync contest (had you read the description when the video starts). I am lip-synchin to my own voice for the entire act, except for the songs which are Jim Carrey.

  • tell me who got first place, I will kill them.

  • my hat off to you sir, well done.

  • wow well done

  • Nice, real good job

  • Great job!!

  • not bad at all sir

  • hey you did a really good job

  • wow

  • If that only got second, first place must have been the re-animated corpses of The Beatles or something.

    Great job.

  • Good character! (Where are the ruffles?)

  • Very impressive!

  • dude that was fucking awsome

thats was amazing lip syncing christ you must have rehearsed alot

    Benjamin

  • Holy shit man! You are a dead ringer! Unbelievable! Just need a little more padding in the stomach but great job bro!!!

  • i gotta say. that was really fucking good.

  • Nice act, man! a 5* (word from Romania)

  • XD dude this was freakin' awesome. I love Tony Clifton and this is a good portrayal!

  • u deserved 1st place not 2nd

  • JerryBeach said it best. Bravo, krakow.

it's the rare goof who doesn't recognize Andy

as the GOAT; no one could do comedy, drama, sing and dance as well as Andy. Many could do 2 or 3 of those but not all 4 at Andy's level.

  • your good guy

  • This is great. You have a lot of talent. I love how the crowd got pissed at the perfume joke.

  • over acting...

  • its called anti-humor, not over acting. you dont even know who tony clifton is...

  • You are fuckin amazing as Tony Clifton!! Ive watched this video about 10 times now and it cracks me up everytime!!! Please do some more Clifton material, just hangin round your home town as Tony maybe? Please get in touch with me, tell me if you will. Thanks, Bill Warrington, England

  • What talent!

  • You are talented. Great job!!

  • I thought you were lip syncing at first!(spell check?) Nice act!

  • Wait, nvm. I read the description afterward, still great though! lol

  • excellent stuff and a very hard act to follow.I only watched out of sympathy because I thought you would die.Are you in the business?

  • Well played. Can I hire you? message me!

  • good job man

  • sweet

  • youre good at it

  • Good Job!!!! Great Clifton mannerisms!!

  • You're awesome.

  • wow. hilarious and excellent. how did you not get 1st? Who won?

  • Lol this was great! Who won 1st place?

    What act was it?

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • I love how well you timed the audience response, with the lip synced conversation. The whole act was wonderful and just risque enough for H.S. You should be wondering, "Can I make a living as a Tony Clifton impersonator?" You would be a hit at parties. Great Job!

  • You have a career ahead of you in entertainment if you stick with it.

  • Nakakatuwa, Mr. Entertainment!

  • love it!!! amazing

  • Brilliant man. Great talent. Salut.

  • That's almost miraculous.

  • Impressive

  • Awesome impression

  • Hey kid, YOU ARE TONY CLIFTON! Brilliant, takes me back a few years. Love it! You need to start an acting career (you could make a million in Vegas). Bet you got suspended for this...

  • ha! i was afraid i might get suspended for it.. i dont think anyone knew what to make of it.. luckily it was the last week of school i think so it wouldnt have made much a difference! thanks for enjoying.

  • that's great!

  • That was really good!! Liked it alot!!

  • I wud say hes lip syncing the singing but the actual talking is the guy actuily talking the tony clifton voice, it doesnt sound like the jim carrey version wen he talks or the actual tony clifton/andy kaufman

  • you got it my friend! i cant believe how many people have watched this video and commented! its amazing, thank you to everyone!

  • He did not lip synch to himself pre recorded. THat's the real Clifton, I have the same thing. While he's talking it's is real voice, but that song is not him. That's either Carrey or Kaufman's performance.

  • i love all the speculation this video gets. "is it him talking or isnt it?" It's just like Andy would have wanted it! if you read my synopsis of the video up on top there, you will see that plainly stated that the music is Jim Carrey but the talking is me, pre-recorded so I could lipsynch to myself because this was a lip synch contest. it was a high school tradition. Want proof? since when did Tony talk about michael jackson and a high school dance? Its me bro, but thats for watching anyway!

  • He's lip synching.

  • Amazing! WEll Done DAM GOOD JOB! i like the final statement at the very end almost makes me cry with joy.

  • this is awesome, this rivals kaufman, well done.

  • Go Tony Krakowsky Clifton

  • awsome dude good work wish i could do that at my high skool

  • that was good... great job..

  • Well done kid, you nailed Clifton.

  • HAHAHAHA good job kid

  • Great job. You nailed Cliffton.

  • LOL! Good job!

  • The croud reacted just like they did in the "Man on the Moon", haha classic.

  • TOPSHELF!

  • Damm first i that this guy rock then i listened and found out that this is just lipsync but the moves were good

  • oh man, that was hilarious. I think you did Tony pretty damn good. The body movements were great with the act to show how obnoxious and crazy he was. Great job, I wonder what the 1st place act could have been to beat this

  • Bro, I got to give it to you... this was off the hook man, u must have gotten this a lot but u did a great job impersonating Tony Clifton on this video!!!

  • well done!

  • its soo oooo good lol you play him sooo good

  • FANTASTIC! I was laughing the moment I saw you come in, BRILLIANT!

  • no he isn't babes.

  • Fantastic stuff! I'm grinning ear to ear. :)

  • That was a great act.Have you done more gigs?Very talented.Clifton Lives!

  • Absolutely spot on brilliant.

  • Dude your Mad

  • Done very well:-)

  • dude, as a MAJOR Kaufman fan, i gotta say that was fuckin SPOT ON!! keep the spirit of Tony Clifton alive.. i hope you do that shit in some local clubs and freak some people out.. thats talent bro!

  • uh-huhn...

That is just about the best amateur thing i've ever seen.

    no lie.

    Kudos.

  • "i need this Senior Sendoff like i need a shotgun blast to the face" fucking quality stuff man!!!

  • Clifton lives!

  • Did you lip-singed or it was your actual voice?

  • it was a lip-sync contest so i was lip-synching to my own voice which i prerecorded. the two songs in the act were actually jim carrey recordings from the movie man on the moon.

  • As a Tony Clifton fan, you rock! Waaayyy funny, especially pulling off a caustic character like Clifton in High School. "Must be that time of the month!" You got cajones the size of boulders. Tell Tony I said hi next time you see him.

  • That was funny!!

  • Spot on!

  • very good, i loved it

  • that was a great portrayal of Tony Clifton!

  • funny shit

  • Great!

  • this is excellent work, it was a pleasure from begining to end.

  • good man andy would have been proud, long live tony clifton, they should make a tony clifton movie

  • Great job krakowsky.

  • Brilliant job.

  • I wonder how many people in the audience had heard of Andy Kaufman or seen the film. You got balls mate - good work.

  • the movie was relatively new at this point, it 2001, and a lot of them saw the movie..for those who had no clue what i was going, that made it even better..and would have made Andy proud!

  • hahaha god that was a great job

  • hah you did a good job!

  • Awesome job. Except the "don't turn around" part, you gotta work on that move. I'm just telling you as a viewer, where I think it's needs improving. Give you a fucking A for the "imitation" and 5 stars for the movie. I was just thinking, while reading about Tony... so many people could imitate him (and you did great) so I'm just sad we will never know if he IS a real person, Zmuda, Andy's Brother or Andy himself. Awesome job, dude. Good luck in what I hope will be a very "lucrative" career. :)

  • well if the "turn around" part is the only negative critique, then THANKS!! that was like 5 years ago..I havent dressed up as Tony in just as long.

  • It's the part where I really liked the interpretation of Jim Carey, but he is an award winning actor. Haven't seen any footage of Clifton doin'that exact move so I wouldn't know what to compare it to... But I told you you were great.

  • r u sure this isnt andy kaufman

  • Its not andy but its a great job!!!

  • How did you work the lip sync into the act so flawlessly? Nice.

  • Kid Krakowski, if you don't yet live in New York or L.A., move to one of those two towns -- a wise comic once gave the same advice to a Leno languishing in Boston. I'll be looking for you in the big-time, Kid. Like Woody Allen said, 90% of it is just showing up.

  • as an audience, you guys suck. perfect closer

  • Amazing, good job mate.
