I'm too young to know anything about this guy, but he was mentioned in one of Stewart Lee's Guardian column about Ted Chippington, so I thought I'd check him out, and I'm glad I have.
Takes balls to do a whole show like that!
I'm not surprised he was mentioned alongside Ted Chippington. It's the only other stand up I can compare him to.
Its funny because when you think of them sitting in a circle, you don't imagine the TV is in the middle of them, so when he says some of us were looking at the back, its funny. Almost as good as early Lee Evans or Davidson.
Hi! found my way here because of your ST/fb vid. English is not my native tongue and I had to go to google to even know this is "Irish". No offence meant! The vid, most if it, I didn't understand! So I may be just now making a fool of myself. But anyway, from 0:30 is the part I think I understood. It was like my village in Finland in 1970. - If i'm not making sense, so be it, it's the language. But if there is an understanding - think how similar can people be! (Laughed at or not!) Terveisin, mk
This lunatic is priceless! I remember seeing this sketch on TV years ago. It's a measure of Kevin's genius that he can make such a mundane script funny. I put Kevin McAleer into the search to see if anyone had posted him, so... Thanks for the post!
love him

Great stuff, nice to see this stuff again, pity there's no one doing anything worth mention today so I'll end this comment now.
