Would you rather see Federer from the top row of Arthur Ashe stadium,(about 1/2 a mile away). or sit first row, listening to comments from his coaches, learning what kinds of things he works on to be #1 in the world?? Each pro gets 1 hour, and then the next come on. Its actually fresh to watch them train, and see how they work.

at the us open nadal plays like a human being! he did a lot of unforced errors against phau and querrey that makes me confident that roger can beat him in that tournament.but even as a big federer fan i have to admit that nadal was a monster in 2008. he played like from another planet!

hmm still not too keen on rogers new coach. He's got him trying new things which is good but they don't seem to be helping. Lol as for missing the forehands he probably hit 500 that day and we saw the 5 that got dumped into the net. Federer needs a FULL time coach. One who goes everywhere he goes. Not just to a few tournaments.

I know it is common knowlege that he doesnt do to much in practice but what I see is him trying to be agressive with the forehand but missing them. Not only that but he was in resonable position (not full stretched). That Is typical in his resent matches and has contributed to some of the unexpected losses this year.

yeah, he looked beat. Each pro gets the court for 1 hour, and this was with about 10 minutes to go...

He was far less impressive than Nadal, del Potro, or even Tsonga...

actually, Tsonga ain't looking so hot save for occassional interludes. Dude's just coming off of long-term injury due to surgery and I have to say...it showed! He was clearly inhibited or stepping gingerly on that left knee...testing the waters. I attended 3 of his practice sessions, probably one of which was the same you saw...and I saw some obvious problem there. I'd be surprised if he made it to the 2nd round.
