  • can you use any other kinds of tea? if so which ones :) Thanks this video was great.

  • @lisapetrinec Do a google search on teas and what benefits they have to the skin.

  • hi, just a quick question, if i want to use a black head extractor, at what piont can i use it during this facial? And yes love the way u did that facial.

  • @123pindi123 I'd do it after the exfoliation.

  • I have acne, blackheads and dry skin ... do u think this facial would help me ?

  • btw, should we like, clean our face using a cleanser before starting this facial ?

  • @iraAffandee THe almond oil cleans it during the facial.

  • u look alot like Julia Roberts

  • I am SO excited to try this at home and I *loved* your choice of music!! Very fun!

  • Could you pls change the setting of the video. I would love to see it via mobile. Ty!

  • @Mendez913 Youtube is blocking this from mobile devices due to the copyrighted music. Sorry. :(

  • i tried this today and it was great! my skin is glowing and super soft. everything smelled so good......so i ended up having a snack after wards. i placed fresh brand new plain yogurt in a small bowl, i grounded more almonds and added some honey. The homemade facial and the homemade honey almond yogurt were amazing>

  • is that really that nescarry to go to these extremes by using food and stuff on ur face...just saying ur video is great and informed but i dont believe in putting stuff on my face....like im to scared i guess

  • i love u

  • I believe you! your skin looks beautiful

  • I love this facial! You do resemble Julia Roberts. I'm sure you get that a lot. I also love your facial massage.

  • Just one thing, smooth inward under your eyes, towards the inner corners, instead of outwards so you're not dragging and stretching the delicate skin under your eyes :)

  • So lovely! I came to your chanel to look for retro hairstyles, but this is fantastic! I love natural beauty regimes and will definitely be trying this one. Lovely videos and lovely lady, thank you!

  • What if we dont have any coconut oil and almond oil?can we just skip to the steam part? And will it work if we just do the steaming part, exfoliate, mask and moistorizer? :) oh ! one more thing,MUST we use chamomile tea.or we can just use any other herb tea?Thank you :)

  • @smilelikeyoudid almond and coconut oil is very inexpensive. Why not pick some up? And the chamomile steam has soothing properties...but you can also try peppermint for a rejeuvenating effect.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Ohhhhh.Okaaay.Well,im living in malaysia,so coconut oil is kinda hard to find,but anyways.Thank you :)

  • @smilelikeyoudid really? Isnt Thailand one of your borders? Coconut oil is a staple in Thai cooking. I would think it would be pretty easy to find.

  • @smilelikeyoudid honestly, i would use whatever you have available to you. I dont have a job so i use things that we have laying around and mix it up with say olive oil to get the same sort of effect. Benefits arent as concentrated but it still helps a lot

  • @smilelikeyoudid green tea has antibacterial property, if you would like the rejuvenating feeling like the camomile does, just add lemon to the tea

  • Hi, I love this video. Its simply fantastic. Can you give me an idea how to treat grey hair without any harm to scalp. I was using Indica few years in India, It doesnt hurt me. Now I am in Australia, using the same I am getting Itching and swelling and hurts me a lot. If you have any idea to come out from this would be greatful.

  • Loved the video! You have such a pleasant personality! Thank you! ^.^

  • Hi,I just love the way u do it.iam gonna try it next weekend:)

can u plz suggest me anything instead of honey.as it makes rashes on my face.hope to hear from u.thnx.

  • How many times should it be done? once a week?

  • @hinoo211 I usually only need it once a month...

  • how often do you recommend to do this? every week?

  • @lamorenita80 It can't hurt...More like once a month though...

  • youve got beautifulskin

  • you're the best!! even if it looks difficult, I'm going to try to do it soon. :) THANK U SO MUCH FOR THE VID!!!!

  • you remind me a lot of julia roberts.

  • Great tutorial... definitely going to try it :)

But btw, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it... try not to microwave the coconut oil (or anything other oil for that matter) because that changes the composition. I usually put the container I keep it in in a bowl of hot/warm water, works just as fine to make it liquid again :)

  • Hi... thanks for this video really nice and i atually start this...can we use something else for steam like instead of this tea because this is not available in India easily.

  • @pinku2005 Chamomile isnt available in India? Hmmm...try another tea that's known for its calming properties.

  • @Pinku2005 .....no offense but India is home town for T ...how can u not find Camomile there !!! Please try searching them online ...U should find various options too.It really has very good soothing qualities. If not try any Green T ....loads of Antioxidants .

  • you remind me of Julia Roberts for some reason...

  • you have beautiful skin!!

  • ur sooo cute r u muslim? u look like it.

  • Thanks! I have got some natural masks at my page, which can make us look much younger than our real age! honouver

  • hey how r u??? plz can u tell me should i use dis for oily skin???

    thanksss

  • @ema4uema yes, you can. However, I would use Oatmeal in the scrub instead of almonds. Can still use the honey though.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet

hey realy thankzz 4 ur reply.....4 sure i will use dis.... :-)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet i mix together oatmeal, honey and sugar to make a scrub my skin loves it :)

  • what if u have blackheads??? can u use an extractor...r could u please instruct when to use it???asin after the steam before the steam etc...thnxx

  • @movielova96 AFTER the steam would bethe perfect time, I would think. :) And if you have oily skin, try using oatmeal instead of almonds in the scrub.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet great thanks a lot!!!! i dont really know how to use the tool of the blackhead remover , i was just wondering if u could add that on 2 any of u new videos u might post, it wud b awsome, but again thanks a lot..:)

  • your skin is amazing! x

  • At the end of the facial you look so much better!

  • thank u lisa...yesterday i tried it..i felt great.....thanks 4 superb video......like this post natural conditiner video plz....

  • hi.. thanks.nice video...within a month,hw many times we do this facial?

  • @asiyasadhika once a month would be enough...

  • thats a wonderful video. i hav couple of questions though 1. instead of coconut oil can i use any hair oil ? 2. instead of the tea bags that you put in hot water can i just use mint leaves ?

  • @rkartheek hair oil? I'd say you could use another natural oil like almond or olive oil...but I don't know what you mean by 'hair oil'? :(

The purpose of the chamomile tea is to rest your skin and to relax you. Mint is more of a rejeuvenating tea and therefore might have a slightly different effect.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet

so instead of camomile tea can i use any other tea or it has to be camomile?

  • @rkartheek you can use another tea but the effects will not be as relaxing. Camomile is known to be relaxing and is used as a sleep aid. If you want another effect from your tea, feel free to use what you like.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet

oh ok...thank you so much for the prompt reply...just one last question...usually which stores carry this camomile tea ? i am in california

  • @rkartheek any grocery store will have it on the coffee/ tea aisle. :)

  • hey, i really loved your video but more than any think i really liked u....u seem like an awsome person.... :) Tc please post more videos.

  • @Lav0n wow! Thanks so much...I post two videos a week. :)

  • You look so beautiful in this video!

  • I need to try this!

  • Hmmm,I think Im going to try this out.It seems simple and fun.I'm on Accutane,so all of these products seem gentle on the skin.

  • Can you use olive oil for the facial massage?

  • @wanderingwriter33 yes you can. :)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Thank you Ashley! I just love this facial! :)

  • This is really awesome(: I'm about to try it.. do you have any more skin care videos?

  • Obviously this works great, someone who is sick and still looks good before even doing to facial, or perhaps genetics ;)

  • tried it... and i LOVED it :)

awe, steam, so amazing. thanks Lady :)

  • Of all of LisaFreemontStreet's videos, this one is my favorite. It's a beautiful video, old fashioned, done in true kitchen beautician style. It's amazing how pretty she looks when she's sick. I'm suffering from a terrible cold right now, and I think I'm going to give myself a facial.

  • you have such beautiful skin!

  • Did the facial tonight, and loved it. My skin feels wonderful, and I am very relaxed. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • omg you are adorable and your skin looks amazing ive gotta try this out =)

  • I tried this facial last night with my husband we adored the results! So relaxing and affordable. Thank you for sharing!

  • I jay finished giving myself an awesome at-home facial!! OMG! I thought what I was doing was making my skin look nice... Well this has just put my methods to shame! My skin is glowing!!! Thank you so much for sharing this! I will be telling everyone to do this facial!! Thanks! xx

  • Ashley, again, another wonderful tutorial!!Can't wait to try it!

  • Just wanted to say how amazing you are I always love your tutorials! Also, if you have oily skin you can use a mint tea in the steam. Apparently it helps draw out the oils.

  • hee hee...not for me. I hate almonds.

  • What is the musical piece you use for this tutorial? It's so nice!

  • By the way, I just did the facial tonight. FABULOUS! Loved it! My skin was so hydrated after everything I didn't even need to moisturize. Thank you!! :D

  • yay!

  • I believe there is an itunes link...its' by the Glen Miller Orchestra.

  • Thanks! It wasn't working the other day for me for whatever reason, but it is now. :)

  • You know, normally, I like to punch girls that are that pretty...but you just have to be so darn sweet too! Haha, well done, per usual, lady. You look great and I hope you are well!

  • lol...you so silly...

  • Are you an Esthetician?

  • No. I am entirely self taught when it comes to everything you see on this channel.

  • what coconut oil do you use could you give us a link to it??

    thanks

  • The brand is LouAna...it was the only one that Wal Mart had but just make sure that whatever you get it is 100% coconut oil. Almond oil is even better but harder to come by...

  • hi lisa, Ive got really patchy red skin on my cheeks it looks like ive been on the drink (i dont drink at all) what can i do ??

  • That is probably rosacea. You need to see a dermatologist. Also try Calming Black Tea Tonic from Senna Cosmetics, which will help soothe the affected area. I did a review on that today...

  • This isnt facial related, but do you have any suggestions for a really good deep conditioning hair mask? I just went red from having black hair and my hair is pretty dry.

  • coconut or olive oil is the best I've found. Warm some in the microwave, apply to hair (concentrating on the ends), and wrap your head in plastic wrap. Leave for 30 minutes and then shampoo.

  • @NaiveMelodiess you should use virgin olive oil over night on damp hair so this for a few days then try serum you only need a tiny bit and you put it on dry hair and style as normal. I had same problem this worked for me

  • Can you buy coconut oil at a regular store like Target or Walmart? I'm really looking forward to trying this : )

  • Yes, I got mine on the 'oils and shortenings' aisle at Wal Mart.

  • Yay!!!!!! my request :-)))))))) great stuff, doll! I totally love using natural products, it's nature's gifts :-) Although instead of almonds I use oatmeal, for some reason it's much better for my oily skin. And sometimes when I need an acne blast, I make a tomato and garlic scrub. My bf totally laughs at me when I do that... says I smell like pizza :-)

  • lol! Oily skin responds very well to oatmeal...great choice.

  • I tried this the night after an exam, and it was just what I needed to unwind. I've never done an at home facial before, but I figured that if it didn't irritate your skin, I should be fine...and I am! The coconut oil made my skin so soft. I love this. Thanks girl!

  • lovely!

  • I use sugar and olive oil for an all over body scrub, but nuts and honey sounds great for your face! Thanks for the idea!!!!

  • I like this video. You look so great without make-up. You have very soft and full features. My favorite video by far. This is the Upper Westside of Manhattan Ashley. You do not look 34, you look 31 1/2 (haha)

  • Your skin looks truly beautiful! I wish I looked like that without makeup :) And the video is great quality, too. Thanks for this!

  • What a fantastic vid girl!.. I may have to try this myself...

  • I should give this a try :) At the moment I just use Nivea cold cream and a hot flannel, which works wonders - but there's no harm in spoiling myself now and then is there?

I might have to get the girls round for a sleepover :D

  • I can see the imediate blooming in your cheeks when you apply the coconut oil, if you looked beautiful before, then you get just the blushing to look even better... I should be less lazy and try these things.

Have you tried Argan oil as a moisturizer? It is fantastic, I love it.

The lighting in this video is great and clear.

  • I've heard its wonderful but somewhat expensive?

  • I don't find it expensive, here is 20 euros (about 26 dollars) a bottle that so far I have been using everyday for more than 8 months and I guess it will last 4 more... and it is very hydratiting. If you buy a cream it will cost more or less (at least in Spain) and won't last you that much... and wont help me to get rid of so many blemishes I have... the problem is that I play with them.

  • Hope you're all feeling better in a jiffy! You have gorgeous skin. I can tell you stay out of the sun.

  • sunblock every day...:)

  • get better girly! and i hope your family stays healthy too!

  • Wow! You look so pretty WITHOUT makeup. Can't wait to try the facial. Thanks for sharing!

  • u say ur sick but ur still so gorgeous! :] thanks for the tut! take care!

  • your skin always looks amazing in every video so I guess this works. Is once a month a good schedule? Also, I'm allergic to nuts, any other ideas on what to use for the scrub?

  • yes that is a good schedule. I would suggest trying coffee grounds! A good rich coffee ground is another good option for a scrub because the caffeine really wakes up the skin. You can mix a little sugar w/ it as well. So sugar, coffee grounds, and honey...

  • You look beautiful! I love this I am going to have to try it. Thank you so much for posting this. I have been looking for some natural things to do for my skin. With a little twiking towards the end (since I have combination skin) I know it will work great for me. :o)

  • You have such beautiful skin, you are just glowing! :) I hope you get feeling better soon, I love your tutorials <3

  • niceeee! i am definetly going to try this facial!!!ciao from italy

  • Memphis Tn, born and raised.

  • Ooohh, this looks so relaxing, i'm definately going to try this out!!

    x

  • cant wait to try this facial =D

  • Thanks for the tips! I love coconut oil on my skin. We cook with it a lot and so I always have an abundance of it on hand. I also use it to remove my eye makeup - works like nothing else...smells good, too. :)

  • thanks for the vid !

i wanna try that right now !

  • you have the most BEAUTIFUL skin, and you glow without makeup :) I hope you feel better soon hun xo

  • i collect old cookbooks and household books, and in one of them (from 1951) there is a chapter about beauty with alot of pretty pictures and there is even a diagram where it shows how to use the famous elisabth arden tapping face massage from that time.

  • What a beautiful video - you are a joy to watch! You really made me want to try this facial from start to finish. Keep up the good work!

  • You're naturally beautiful Ashley. I love this tutorial.

  • i don't remember if you mentioned this in the video, but how often do you do this?

  • Whenever I think to do it...monthly at the most, every couple to three months at the least.

  • i was wondering where you've been. glad to see you're back. hope you fully recover soon. that stomach flu can be a nasty thing, it's been going around around here. luckily i have not caught it......yet. lol

    this was very helpful :)

  • Sweet thanks Ashley!

  • Loved watching this video ^_^

  • oh hunny! i'v noticed you'v been a bit m.i.a. i hope you all get well soon! the stomache illness's are the worst!

    xoxo

  • Your Skin looks so awake after the Facial! I'll have to try that!

  • This sounds like an amazing and easy facial, I'll have to try it sometime!

And your kitchen in the background is so darling! The turquoise walls and nice clean white with the round knobs and amazing checkered floor, I wouldn't expect anything less :)

  • Oh my, it looks absolutely divine. I know what I am doing on my hubby's next day off.

  • omg you are the best looking sick person ever :) ...and no makeup wow ...kudos

  • wow idk if its just me, but you could really see a vibrating change in your skin over time of the process... amazing. you look great!

  • I never knew your name was ashley! wow you learn stuff when you read blogs

  • I've been really stressed out lately. I'm SO doing this.

  • Thanks for this great video! I was just wondering how often you do it?

  • wow you look very nice without makeup....lucky you!!!

  • that coconut oil must smell heavenly! i'm sold :)

  • Actually, the coconut oil has absolutely no fragrance. :) I know, a conundrum. haha

  • even sick you are still cute!!

  • Aaahh I can't wait to try this tomorrow!

    Thanks!

  • Good video!! I been using coconut oil for a yr now and I love it. Do you have any natural hair remedy tips...I`m all for those vid`s as well. bye now :)

  • Exactly what i was looking for. I adore you ♥ & i'm glad you're feeling better.

  • the best part about this video is how excited you look putting this on. too cute :)

  • thank you so much for this video :) im excited ton try it! btw ur skins flawless :)

  • this wont make you break out will it??

  • such a good and sweet video :) And you look so happy at the end! I think I'll do this after my exam tomorrow :) Thank u

  • Oh my gosh thank you!

I'm super excited to try this out. :)

  • i did not know you could put yogurt on a sun burn.....so good to know! i look like a lobster in the summer.

  • I had a book that has similar natural facials and hair products like this. Like Cleopatra's facials and Greta Garbo's recipe for rinsing her hair with champagne for shine and volume.

  • I find egg yellows work really good too. Especially if you have dry skin.

  • a facial.... how relaxing!!

  • your skin looks beautiful at the end of this! my mother raised me on the diy beauty treatments so i really loved this facial. we would put the left over oatmeal on our faces and let it dry. it leaves your face soooo soft! glad to see you're feeling better. did you sip some sprite??? :D

  • ginger ale...:) And gatorade...and chicken broth...

  • Thanks for the tip. I have forgotten about doing this sort of thing for myself. I will do it today. I have been feeling so awful lately. hopefully this will make me feel better. Hope you feel better.

  • Once a month or so. :)

  • The only change I would make would be to use sugar instead of almonds. I prefer to help my skin from the 'inside' by eating the almonds.... lol.... Debby

    Feel better soon!!! <3

  • The almond oils are good for dry skin but yes, sugar works wonderfully as a scrub. Coffee too! Wakes up the skin! :)

  • Love this video! Thanks so much for sharing. This is going in my faves too! :-)

  • you are so cute, you didn't have to make a video for us, though i'm glad you did. :D i've noticed you have good skin so i can't wait to try this.

i hope you continue to feel better!

  • I'm going to do this!

My face is horribley dry because it's winter, so maybe this will help.

  • I can't wait to try this. I love the ingredients in your facial! I'm a HUGE fan of coconut oil for my skin (and for cooking!) and use it every day in conjunction with weekly raw honey masks. I love what it does for my skin. It must be great because I'll be 30 this year and nobody ever believes my age.

Incidentally, for a bit of random info, while honey works nicely, raw honey works even better. You can even use it to heal wounds, eliminate infection, and relieve pain fast. Bees are a wonder! :)

  • @Hevynly1 i know people use it to cure blemishes!

  • Yes! It's great for that, too!

  • love it!

how come your skin looks so young and healthy after a flu? seriously, you look like 18 here!
