  • YEEEAH BOY SHAKE THAT TAIL FEATHER!!

  • awesome.. but near the end the girl is like "JUST RAPE ME ALREADY DAMN IT!!" :)

  • Anyone hear it mimic a kukabarra?

  • I kept looking if the seconds kept going normally, because I thought the video was rearranged or was on repeat or something!

  • I can't tell in this case, but a lot of times the male bower bird will stack larger rocks behind him and smaller ones in front to create the optical illusion through the tunnel that he is larger in size. They're incredible animals.

  • bird's beatbox

  • WHY IS THIS DUE THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING BREAK?!?!

  • WOW, why in the hell do we have to write CPR papers on this??? damn you stat 301 >.>

  • @TheCastleBranche : i agree with u on that! :)

  • stats 301 at Purdue is the only thing getting this video views -_-

  • @Letshavewaffles screw these videos and screw stat 301

  • shes giving you the green light asshole quit stalling and go for it!! god i swear birds are so dumb

  • @FutureLaugh Not really. If he didn't finish the courtship ritual she'd probably reject him :(.

  • Lmao, how awesome. <3 It kinda sounds like gabber music!

  • Really interesting Video, thanks for posting! My University class enjoys watching these :)

  • @Misbcate01 my university professors enjoy making us watch these...and write papers ><

  • of course the blue one is the male, the men always have to do all the work, the women just get stuff given to them for free. Thats why women nowadays are mostly useless.

  • @killbotfelwick

actually if you know Sexual Selection according to Darwin's postulates on evolution, it will state that the more investing sex of a species ( females- with a larger gamete or egg) requires more resources to raise the offspring because of the cost is placed heavily on the female to produce young. The female will consume more calories ( in order to reproduce offspring) and resources that raise them. The male displays he's got the Goods and the Genetic Quality to support her.

  • @Misbcate01 exactly, women are useless nowadays, you just proved my point. But what you are talking about represents mamals. Of course birds with larger eggs will require more nutrients than smaller eggs, but thats not anywhere near that scale of a mamal. Thats the point of an egg, cheap and efficient, but not very well protected. women suck! feminists need to rot in a pool of boiling sperm!

  • @killbotfelwick I'm a dude & I work 80 hours a week at a Walgreens... I guess that is what you mean by work? Still, thinking about the Earth, how long it will outlive me and anything I accomplish in this life, I'm inclined to think I'm pretty useless as well. Lets say we're ALL useless and call it a day.

  • @Misbcate01 rofl

  • @killbotfelwick Science is not about right and wrongs. That is a naturalistic fallacy. Choosing not to agree or disagree with anyone. Just make sure you understand the nature and context of the information before making statements on a topic, that is out of anyone control. Personal opinion doesn't matter.

  • he's doing the robot!! XD

  • SHAKE YOUR TAIL FEATHER!

  • lol shake that feathery ass :)

  • Hop on her and let nature take it course playboy !!!

  • He built a honeymoon suite to lure the female with his distinctive work of art ( bower of love ).His hutlike structures are erected in small clearing. He colored it with saliva and mixture of plant juice. He often decorated his hut with flowers or berries, shell or bones. And sometime he surrounded his hutlike structures with a garden of moss, twigs and stones. He will abandon his hut after courtship, the hen will fly off to lay eggs on new nest on the tree top somewhere..

  • sounds like RC car :)

  • Wow!!!!

  • I heard that male is dancing for her

  • Very beautiful. You were lucky to catch the moment on video.

  • yeah the blue one is a Satin Bowerbird

i wasnt aware that they mated together cool

  • he could make a great beatboxer xD

  • Aww, this was beautiful.

    I loved his song ;0

And the female seems amazed ;D

  • best in the bird pop' n' lock competition!

  • Interesting that this bird appears to have no blue paraphernalia around his bower and is displaying with brown leaves. i've seen another bower totally devoid of decoration and the male was the most successful in the forest that season, with many nesting females nearby.

There were a couple of enormous fig trees near his bower which may account for his success, reinforcing those real estate tenets: "Position, position, position" and "Buy the worst house in a good street".

  • He must've had the right moves. :)

  • she seems amazed. i think he chose the right tune!

  • Incredible

  • Beautiful!

  • Great video

  • haha! she seems kind of into him ;)

what an amazing variety of sounds though!

  • Birds have great taste in music, don't they?...

    Awesome.
