damn i hate how she sings >_> she ruins the real song. A male song should never be song by a female. It just doesn't fit. And i hate people who sing from the nose. The people in Romania singing frmo the nose are the so pitiful beings named "manelisti", they are retarded gypsy people who make money from more retardnes proven to be found all over the world. the so known "Manele" are the songs they make.
lol , i didn't knew about this show before, but it's title scared me XDD 2nd CUP , 2 girls 1 cup >_> dunno why i made that connection , maybe that video marked my life lol
Wow...half the time she says "the vare necessities". It's really obvious when the camera zooms in and clearly shows it, lol. Kind of bothers me. You can definitely that she's a Broadway singer...gotta love that nasal sound, lol.
But I like how laid back the performance was, which is how it should be.
Aww... I have fuzzy, nostalgic memories of reading the book with my dad... and indignant ones of seeing the movie when I was five, having been already indoctrinated with the book. ...But I had an odd childhood... and she's so adorable!
Oh, The Jungle Book seems like a cute little story at age 5... then you get older and you see all the racism and white supremacy. It's really quite horrible. The movie did its best, I suppose, but it a) still had traces of racism- hard to do away with it completely, I suppose and b) just wasn't very good in comparison to the princess movies.
I still don't see that much racism aside from historic accuracy: "this is what happened; deal with it". I like Rudyard Kipling a lot. But I suppose everyone's different...
I have, and obviously I don't like it... I mean, his view is more or less the view of white Englishmen of the times, and while I don't agree with it, I feel like if we disregard the work of every racist person (especially from that era when these views were socially acceptable) a lot of proverbial babies will be thrown out in the bath-water. I don't mean that by liking his work I like all of his views, but I do love Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, and the rest. (yes, mainly the children's stories)
Hmm. I suppose that's a valid point, but at the same time I can't bring myself to enjoy the works when the racism is evident in them. Kipling's children's works seem to infulence children toward the racist views of the day- almost racism lite. I don't mind other racist authors when the works don't broadcast these views. For example, L. Frank Baum had racist views, but I've no problems with his works because it's not too evident- and c'mon, who doesn't love The Wizard of Oz?
Yeah, I suppose that's everyone's decision, and I DO understand and appreciate your opinion. And yes, I LOVE the Wizard of Oz (but I have friends who HATE it because of the so-called political agenda... how funny is that?)
There is something amazing about this. Honestly, I dislike the country way that the song was taken. However, as I'm watching, I've got a huge smile on my face and I've chuckled at it a few times. I love music that can do that for you, so I bought the CD, even though it goes against a good portion of my CD collection. Well done!
Didn't sound country to me. Okay, maybe more of a country twang because of the voice, but I think it was arranged with more of a gypsy jazz feel, hence the guitar and violin. And lovely dress, too.
I like a jazzier sound on her. Little Shop....not so much.

I love the Gypsy jazz style they took on this song. It's really great.

Holy cow. I figured that this would be good, but it was better than I expected.

WOW. I love how versatile she is. I did not expect this to be as jazzy as it is. I foresaw a more Kristin Chenoweth bubbliness to it. This is great.

Why is she so freaking adorable?
I've always hated the Jungle Book (Rudyard Kipling is an evil, evil man) but this is actually kind of cute, in a bizarre way.

It wasn't history when he was writing it, though. He was adding to that racism. Have you read his poem 'Take Up the White Man's Burden?'
