there are people who think it was excessive force. but when the city confronted them the first time in the late 70's they came peacefully and then move started shooting at them and winded up killing an officer.

the same in the 80's they told them to stand down and they didn't, they started shooting at cops again.

so the city dropped C4 on them. i do feel bad for the people that lived on that street because they lost their homes and all. i don't feel sorry for the move members who were involved.

The Move members lived like animals in their homes forcing the city to evict them after hundreds of complaints filed w/ the city from their neighbors. When they refused to vacate, the cops showed up & Move opened fire on them, killing 1 cop and injuring 15 others. If the cops beat them, good. You shoot a cop, you get what you deserve. I'm sickened as a human that people back murders like the Move 9 & Mumia. Mumia's brother wouldn't even testify on his behalf; and he was there when it happened.

It was the first time the Government attacked fellow Americans at home since the Kent State Vietnam War shooting of the students. I love how people bash the police, but then when somebody they love is in trouble, they call 9-11 for the police to come help them...

Also, you are aware that those suspects who were roughed up by police were career criminals, right? And, they shot and severely wounded a person on the streets.

If somebody you loved was walking down the street and shot by some guys driving by, would you not want them to get roughed up?

Again, people complain about cops until the day they need them...

Hey, if all the police did was respond to 9-11 calls and help people out (which they often fail to do), nobody would have a problem with them. I would say that people complain about cops when they work against them (esp. on behalf of the state) rather than for them.

There's no contradiction in calling 9-11 and struggling against cops who act on behalf of the state against citizens. And beating a drive-by suspect just results in a second injustice, I don't see what your point is here.
