That already happened in a school in Appalachia. 2 students subdued an armed gunman shooting up a school. They had to go to their vehicles, arm themselves and then they went back into the scholl and subdued the gunman without firing a shot at him.

Get your facts right man, today ir's 10x harder to purchases a hund gun evn the amumition. in nj at the age of 18 you can legally buy a .22 rifle but you have to be 21 to buy th ammo. What kind of crap is that. And u say unrestricted? Think again

Listen mr. know it all, I have a blue belt in Brazilian Jujitsu, and have trained in muay Thai since I was 16 (that's 11 years). I have fought in mixed martial arts with a total of 6 'official' fights and dozens of unofficial. I KNOW what combat systems can and can not do.
You watch too many movies starring Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Move out of your mother's house into the real world. If someone comes at you with a knife or gun, you are dead or seriously injured with or without martial arts.

By the way, I live in NM. Down here we have guns coming in from Mexico. Not semi autos, full autos coming from arms dealers in South America. They are coming in with the drugs and the dealers. They are not getting guns from the US. Why would they pay more for a less capable gun?

Slecko. It is not legal for a minor to purchase a gun. You have to be 21 to buy a handgun. There are already many laws regulating guns. None of them have ever been shown to effect crime rates. Most crime are commited by young males. Maybe we should ban young males. It makes more sense than banning guns :) Good Day!!!

Gun control would have done NOTHING to stop this. Seriously, you don't think people buy fully automatic weapons from a local gun store, do you? A person who intends to commit a crime with a gun buys it illegally, so that it is unregistered and the government will be unable to trace the gun back to them. also, imagine if a GOOD student had a gun for self defense. only two people would have died: the first would have been the first victim of the shooter. the second would have been the shooter.

I have worked in jails for psych services for many years. The only thing that the criminals fear is a victim that can defend themselves. Do you want them to kick in your front door knowing all they have to fear is the police getting there in about 10 min. What can happen in that time? I am alive today because I did not have to wait to find out. It is insane to take away someones ability to protect themselves. PS I am in a wheelchair, dont leave me at the mercy of criminals

Your group missed something big... All of that happened in a gun free zone. I had friends in Virginia Tech they took pics of the gun free zone signs... Also. look at the German school shooting... In Germany all firearms are banned... How many people must die before you guys realize bad people with guns go to good people without guns... They dont go after armed people...
