@wwwHOOPCAPITALcom "D'ni" has several official pronunciations. It was pronounced "Dunny" by Atrus throughout the games, since that was what it was originally called before Cyan realized that "dunny" is Australian slang for toilet.
It was pronounced "dukhnee" by Esher in Myst V, since David Ogden Stiers wanted to try giving a hard glottal stop for the apostrophe.
Yeesha and Zandi pronounce D'ni as "d'nee", as one might expect. Which one is correct is up to you, though "d'nee" feels best to me.
I think the game Myst came with a computer I got in middle school. I remember trying to play it, but having no clue what to do. I would just sort of explore the island, look at some books, until I got frustrated and gave up. Is reading the novel necessary for playing the game, or do I just suck at that sort of thing?
myst was hard for some becuse it was the first game to not tell you what to do from the start there are hints all over the island of what to do you just have to keep your eyes open they are all in pretty obvious places
Cyan is boss. I love these games. The books are really nice, too, IMHO.

This book sounds really intriguing. I'd heard of it, but had no idea what it was about. Really good review.

This one sounds really interesting. Every time you review a book I realize I'm not going to live long enough to read everything I want to.

Awesome, Matt! Myst is one of my favorite series, despite that I've only played Myst, Riven, and Myst IV: Revelation.
