SEALS are special operations which is very different and its not one unit that makes them awesome its the team work, you act like the SEALS never ever need help which is false. SEALS are the best in what they do but other special operations units do other things better.

Remember, the AF controls all of the Airborne nukes and all of our nuclear ICBMs. The Marines may fall under the Dept. of the Navy but are most definitely their own separate branch. And I think that the "best fighter pilots in the world" is a very boastful statement. The Israeli AF and our AF are just as good. It's the most powerful Navy in the world by far, but but apart from that is all your opinion.

@StopSquirlesOnCrak They are separate specialties. Both fall under Naval Special Warfare. SWCC are insertion/extraction specialists vice spec ops. The SWCCs form the Special boat teams (SBTs). They fall under Naval Special Warfare Group 4 which is run by a SEAL. The SEALs themselves are in groups 1-3 and 11. Hope this helps.

@1CrazzySanta1 I believe it was the Norweigan Special Forces that won the SOF competition. At least I think that's what you're referring to. Problem is it was all basic land warfare and marksmanship, and DevGru (SEAL Team 6), the best of the best, were not competing. Neither was Delta, and I'm sure whatever subdivision of the SAS that conducts Black Ops like DevGru and Delta wasn't there either. They're too busy fighting wars to waste time on that. The comp didn't even touch water or air ops

No offense to the Swedes who are no doubt outstanding, but a 24 hour "survival" test against the B-team doesn't exactly prove that much.

I researched it some more and it was like a kind of "Ironman" competition with teams of 2 from all over. The SEAL team was 2 operators from SEAL Team 5. Knowing that they were SEALs, and knowing their motto "It Pays To Be A Winner," I'm sure they were not happy with their finish, but again they weren't the Tier 1 operators of ST6 or Delta.

@RomanoVictus There is no such thing as "best spec ops," but in that respect, as good as the SEALs may be, they are not "the best." SEALs are a tier 2 special forces unit, along with MARSOC, Force Recon, Army SF and SOWT. Tier 1 is comprised of SFOD-D (Delta Force), DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6), and the 24th Special Tactics Squadron (Combat Controllers and Pararescue). Don't count DEVGRU as part of the SEALs, because even though they draw their recruits from the SEALs they are a separate unit.

@1CrazzySanta1 I believe it was the Norweigan Special Forces that won the SOF competition. At least I think that's what you're referring to. Problem is it was all basic land warfare and marksmanship, and DevGru (SEAL Team 6), the best of the best, were not competing. Neither was Delta, and I'm sure whatever subdivision of the SAS that conducts Black Ops like DevGru and Delta wasn't there either. They're too busy fighting wars to waste time on that. The comp didn't even touch water or air ops

@1CrazzySanta1 Hmm, perhaps you're right. But it wasn't just the Navy SEALs. It was a worldwide competition, but the best of the USA and England were not in attendance. If you ask anyone involved in SOFs anywhere in the world they'll tell you the CT teams of the SAS are the world's most elite, with Delta and DevGru (SEAL Team 6) close on their heels. No offense to the Swedes who are no doubt outstanding, but a 24 hour "survival" test against the B-team doesn't exactly prove that much.

@1CrazzySanta1 Haha no worries. And Sweden I'm sure has plenty to be proud of (like Ibra, he's a STUD). I researched it some more and it was like a kind of "Ironman" competition with teams of 2 from all over. The SEAL team was 2 operators from SEAL Team 5. Knowing that they were SEALs, and knowing their motto "It Pays To Be A Winner," I'm sure they were not happy with their finish, but again they weren't the Tier 1 operators of ST6 or Delta.

@BRAVOandCHARLIE The army does missions on the Sea to. >.> We have three whole MOS's dedicated to sea/water warfare. Every branch has a small hand in every other branch. And the Army is just as good as the Marines, the Air Force, and The Navy. Civilians take the friendly competitions between the dif. branches way to far. To the military, we fucking love seeing raptors fly over our heads, and we orgasum when we see marines storm a beach, and the army just steam rolls shit, thats hot. GTF over it.

@RomanoVictus There is no such thing as "best spec ops," but in that respect, as good as the SEALs may be, they are not "the best." SEALs are a tier 2 special forces unit, along with MARSOC, Force Recon, Army SF and SOWT. Tier 1 is comprised of SFOD-D (Delta Force), DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6), and the 24th Special Tactics Squadron (Combat Controllers and Pararescue). Don't count DEVGRU as part of the SEALs, because even though they draw their recruits from the SEALs they are a separate unit.

this is a true story:
Two Navy SEALS were posted to the SAS on a 6 month tour,but the british govnment required them to complete SAS Selection first. They were both binned in week two.
Now, say SEALs are better than SAS.

im 17 a senior went my local recruiter for a sit down we talked i took a practice asvab scored a 19 but i took an official asvab at school a few months before and scored a 36 i am currently working on memorizing the ranks, salors creed, general orders, and chain of command i not fat but not skinny either im around 5'9 195lbs 24% BMI no record no tats perfect health i do wear glasses yet he still seem a little unimpressed what is the best way to get him to give me contract and let me go to meps
