2003 Jetta VR6

is it loud and annoying on the highway around 80 mph? thats my main concern...and is it so loud that it fails inspection? i want a nice low roar, throaty...is this good for that?

that's the GLX. Quite a difference over the sport minded GLI but one thing stays the same: THE 24V VR6 drooling craziness!!

sounds good!! So what kind of gas does a VR6 run on? i'm thinking about getting one myself...and if it runs on premium...is it one of those cars that COULD take unleaded too? or would that just kill it?

even the 1.8t's need plus gas so I'm guessing the vr6's need premium,the 1.8t's can go too with a little work, but they dont sound nearly as nice as the vr6

cool cool....hmmmm, i wonder if putting unleaded would kill the car, or just be like the Audi A4 turbo where you can put in unleaded and it might slow the car down a little bit but not enough where it turns into a peice of juk ya know...haha i'm jsut trying to do some research...i'm thinking bout getting a jetta so yeah haha

ya.... you couldnt be more false, i run my vr6 and 4 cylinder 1.8t on unleaded and its just fine.... and my vr6 is turboed so get your facts straight.

no i own a 2000 vr6 and i run just like 87 octane or w/e, and it still pulls pretty hard..if your wanting to pull all the performance out of it tho, i would recommend the premium, it makes it run SOOO much faster and smoother.

24v its automatic DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING 87 (reg), 91 (super) not the best but its the minimum, consider premium (94) AT ALL TIMES (and cost actually :p)

*note I'm not using the euro classification here

for the 12v (not my fav but cost-minded its an interesting choice), 87 will not harm BUT don't make it an habit, the choice 91 (super)

I think the borla sounds best on the VR6 seems to make the deepest tone and not being overly noisy. I'm probably gonna go with the TT system too for my VR >:]

in my opinionn magnaflow has a better sound on vr6s but borla sound reall nicee too it was a tough decision for me on my vr6

Yeah, its a 2.5" catback Techtonics exhaust with a borla muffler, sounds even better from outside. I sure do miss this car.
