  • A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both." - Milton Friedman

  • Socialism values equality more than liberty.

    Dennis Prager

  • Socialism is nothing but the capitalism of the lower classes.

    Oswald Spengler

  • Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

    Winston Churchill

  • Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.

    Thomas Sowell

  • So what does this fat lard want? socialism? hahaha. Id rather be dirty poor and free than have everything and not be free.

  • Nice to see Michael Moore making millions of dollars producing a movie. Yeah, that's called capitalism.

  • @FitnessByMatt He's protesting and having all he does filmed and then sold. You can't just record hours and hours and have people doing it for free. Also having it sold is the probably the best way to get his word out.

  • @IIGARDN3RII So Michael Moore thinks that capitalism is the best method to getting his word out? Awesome! I agree.

  • Michael Moore is the Voltaire of the United States. Unfortunately he can't change American society all by himself. The two revolutions in Russia and France were caused by hunger, and I don't see that happen in the U.S.

  • @keesvangulik127 o its happening. i cant remember the latest statistic the amount of americans "in poverty, near poverty or slightly above poverty" but its fucking high. i think it was 150 million.....

  • @lee0122333 I didn't mean "I still own a computer" poverty, but much, much worse. More the African, famine kind of poverty, because that's what happened in Paris in 1789. People didn't have any bread. Is THAT happening in the U.S.A. right now?

  • @keesvangulik127 i heard a statistic on people who are hungry in america on the tavis smiley show but i cant remember the number.....

  • @lee0122333 No offense, but what about the statistics on obesity?

  • @johseb213 its because you have the greatest income inequality according to this website

  • @johseb213 equalitytrust . org . uk. then click see evidence. then click obesity. americas fucked on all of them across the board

  • @lee0122333 Over here in Paris thousands of hungry people marched to the King's palace at Versailles, and screamed for bread in 1789. Do you think this will happen in Washington D.C. too the coming years?

  • @satie175 it already is on a smaller scale. its just a case if theres enough people doing it then change will happen.

  • CONGRESS IS OCCUPIED BY WALL STREET

  • this guy just doesnt stop eating!

  • @908LuX973 is that the best comment you can come up with? why don't you unplug your internet for the betterment of the internet. Someone makes a documentary and all you have to say is he is "fat". Not that you disagree with him, not that you hate him.

so I reiterate, do us all a favor and fuck off.

  • @FSFchannel its a joke u fucking retard. i dont give a shit about him or what he thinks or what YOU think. i can say whatever on youtube and u cant do shit about it, so stop talking that reckless shit on the keyboard u clown, now do me a favor and eat a dick

  • @908LuX973 It was a joke? Well that changes nothing. It was a dumb joke and you should still do youtube a favor and unplug your internet. I never said I wanted to do anything about it, I said you should. Read my comment once more and perhaps you will see that distinction.

  • @FSFchannel are u just that bored or just that much of an asshole to come here starting shit over a damn comment? i really dont have the patience for punk asses like u so stop with the youtube comment shit and really do something if u got a problem

  • Haven't seen the movie yet (currently downloading) but for all the critics I expect that it may not be totally accurate but will offer a lot of food for thought (for those capable of thinking) and perhaps open some eyes to some of the outrageous acts in the Corporate world. I am all for capitalism but with reasonable profits and sane pay scales.

    Roy777

  • @chequethis i recommend watching zeitgeist moving forward after. both movies agree on the only way to make change is to protest.

  • @lee0122333 That doesn't do anything but cause destruction which makes the cost of insurance rise which just gets passed on to consumers, so no, that doesn't work, it actually hurts.

  • @FitnessByMatt protesting???

  • Michael Moore wants to steal from people and give to others. He wants to play God, which nobody, let alone bureaucrats with the legal gun, should aspire to. TARP is exactly this kind of legislation. Gov. ought not to be concerned with the economy- but protecting our right to pursue our own happiness. Senator Hatch from Utah- my home state- has been in the Senate for 36 years now- and has given in to the coddling of lobbyists- and has engaged in the redistribution of wealth by voting in TARP

  • It is so funny because you can learn about the evils of capitalism for a small price a 9.95$ ahahhahahahah hypocrisy thy name is micheal moore (the fat shit who knows nothing about economics and edits his movies in a lying fashion listen to matt stones interview on how micheal moore lied in his shitty movie on the columbine shooting. This moron is the definition of what is wrong with america.

  • @xHippieHunter Daaawwwwwww. How cute you are.

  • @FishLandBug good one? put your self down.

  • @xHippieHunter Very well! I shall sit down!

  • @xHippieHunter capitalism is wrong. alot of what mike is saying is right but for some reason is appearance is always mentioned. if he was trying to be a model, i could understand you mentioning his weight, but his movies usually dont have too much to do with weight...

  • Michael Moore is quite the hypocritical pig, isn't he? Let's see him start living like the "99%" instead of some poliburo member.

  • Capitalism becomes Corporatism when the corporations buy out the government and then use coercion to ruin the economy. This can only happen because government is too big to begin with. Michael Moore is a fat fuck because he blames it all on the "evil corporations" instead of focusing the real blame towards the government and how the government allows corporations to conduct illegal practices in the first place.

  • @TheModerateViewer exactly, but Michael Moore would never blame government because he wants the institution bigger and more bloated than ever.

  • @TheModerateViewer who influences the govt most? people with the most money

  • He should've put the "speed it up" in the trailer. That would've made it ten times funnier.

  • Why does Michael always seem to confuse "capitalism" with corporate greed\fraud back up by government? Stop branding an entire ideology with this rhetoric, we don't have true free market capitalism, we have gigantic corporations that rule the day, which is quite similar to what Mussolini himself defined as fascism.

  • It's funny how Michael Moore complains about rich people and how the government should tax them more, and he does so by making movies and DVDs about it, raking in million in the process.

  • @ThatOneBassist013 So? He's not complaining about people simply being rich but the way they get rich. Do I really need to explain that? If someone works his ass off to get rich he deserves it but if someone corrupts everything and do all that sort of stuff hes a dirty bastard ...or the big corporations and US government

  • How America is destroying our planet

    Search For

    "THE GREAT DISASTERS"

  • @eliasmouawad : on the same topic , funny show in France :

watch?v=pPdnBtqcNzM or look for " we fuck the world "

  • @DGsChann Says the fat ass siting on his couch.

  • The distribution of Wealth in Capitalism... is No different then it was in Feudalism.

The few have a lot... while the many are left scrambling for the scraps.

This system trickles up to the Global scale.

The U.S., Canada and Western Europe combined amount to less then 20% of the Global population... and yet consume from 70% to 85% of the Global Resources... and put out about the same percentage of Pollution.

Economic History shows that Capitalism dose NOT work without frequent Gov. intervention.

  • OMFG it frustrates the hell out of me that these people are allowed to get away with this.........WE NEED TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED

  • lies, abuse, betrayal...and 14,000 jobs being lost every day...

  • @ all the haters:

Why do all you people hating on Michael Moore only call him a "fat fuck"? Because you don't want to admit that what he is saying is right?

    GO MICHAEL MOORE GO!!!

  • @syuson81 They don't even know what he's saying, fat capitalist bitches

  • Like capitalism or not, you wouldn't have a fucking job without it here it America.

  • @MrDutch2009 There is a difference between crony capitalism and real capitalism. On the other hand, socialism and communism has NEVER worked. Moore is a fraud who makes millions off foolish people who believes his crap.

  • @Brdj010 what are u suggesting is the "truth"?

  • @MrDutch2009 i think we would.

  • @syuson81 Because he is a hypocritical idiot who bashes capitalism while making millions off of it. His net worth is 50 million.

  • @Brdj010 cause and effect. he made a good movie and therefore hes rich. you would think that he would be against higher taxes considering he's rich, which would be a case of him looking out for himself. but instead he wants a better standard of living for the majority while causing the minority (himself included in some years) to lower their standard.

  • @syuson81 I saw the movie and he's wrong quite a few times. He blames things on Capitalism that take place in every government around the world and that are really the consequence of bureaucrats, lobbyists, or specific laws.

  • @syuson81 He isn't right because the problem is we don't have free market capitalism. What the US is is called facism with a bit of socialism thrown in. The government control the money supply (thats socialism) they bailed out the banks (thats socialism) they regulate everything with stupid laws that- NDAA, food safety act (thats facism/socialism)...

  • @syuson81 Micheal Moore = Fat Fuck

  • @DGsChann You're a shining example of the uneducated idiot who has no idea what he's talking about and has the dangerous delusion in thinking that he does.

  • The problem is cronyism, not capitalism.

  • @orospakr capitalism = cronyism

  • A fat fuck worth 20 million is going to lecture me about the evils of capitalism, nice.

  • blech

  • Its simple, the guys at the top always gets greedy, they have no loyalty to any nation, any religion nor any race, they are only loyal to money even if we toppled these traditional bankers who control the money supply, they hide behind these politicians and use them as front mans to distract the public from the robbery of the so called free market, if anyone says socialism doesn't work then look everything is made in china.

  • huzzah for the Ministry of Truth!

  • Michael Moore's net worth is $50 million. Moore was able to secure a deal with Miramax over this film which guaranteed him 27% of his film’s net revenues, or roughly $21.6 million. Anyone who takes this Moore guy seriously needs to be locked in a padded room with a straight jacket.

  • @Brdj010 you should paste &v=UE7cBdn3qpY#t=517s

after the question mark in the youtube url for a video. (youtube wont let you paste links in comments anymore)

Its a video of micheal moore and keith olberman talking about this exact same sentiment.

The long and short of it is just because someone has done well for themselves doesn't mean they can't stand up for those less fortunate

  • @Brdj010 I may not agree with this film entirely, but farenheit 9/11 was a factual movie, so he isn't a greedy crook like the media portrays him to be, He does care about our nation and the people who have nothing. He also cares about the politics and how our country went to Iraq under false accusations. He does have a lot of valid opinions, think about it. He says he would give $10,000 to whoever can point out a lie in his movie (farenheit 9/11). No one has ever done it.

  • This movie only proves how we need REAL capitalism, not this crony-capitalist/corporatist system .

  • @TheAnonymousAspie LMAO. YES.

I like to say Moore suing for the profits of 9/11 should be titled "Capitalism: a Love Story" lol

Apparently Capitalism is ok if your the one capitalizing.

Moore was called out and even admitted he was wrong. It should have been "Corporatism: a Love Story"

  • Possibly one of the best endings of a movie I have ever seen.

  • @ MrDebateGuy cont. One more thing...we need to start ENFORCING the Constitution. I don't know...as Ron Paul says...legalize it. Presidents unilaterally going to war, accepting Nobel Piece Prizes, passing the Patriot Act, etc, should ALL be impeached, in some cases tried for TREASON.

Remember all the clowns SWEAR/OATH to "uphold and defend the Constitution", yet trample it on nearly a daily basis...like Bachmann, Boehner, Obama, Reid and Pelosi to name a few.

  • Kind of ironic how a guy speaks against capitalism, makes a movie about it, sells it in cinemas all across the country, and makes millions. Please, this guy is nothing but a frumpy middle aged lesbian look alike hypocrite.

  • @maddoxmudd so you're saying he should have become a politician changed the landscape of political economy. then got the movie to be made under some communist government and then released it. your argument is completely invalid. no irony. no hypocrism just you failling to understand. but now you of course do understand so you can thank me. and sorry for being a bit rude i just got annoyed at your logic and accusations.

  • @maxgunn555 Firstly, I would like to thank you for your response. Second, what is more capitalist than creating a product, such as a film, and selling it for a profit? Think of it this way, Al Gore makes a movie called "An Inconvenient Truth" which is about the current climate crisis. He lives in a 9 million dollar mansion with electricity rates 20 times the national average and flies in a jet that runs on thousands of gallons of diesel fuel. This is hypocrisy; I see Moore the same way.

  • @maddoxmudd yeah i'd say that is hypocrisy slightly but if then again he didnt managed to pass laws to get everyone to reduce global warming emmissions so why should he do acheive a public good when the laws havent even accepted it? with making money it's different. moore's using capitalism 'legitamately' ie he's getting money because the media outlets would always want money just to distribute so he might as well get some too. and withthat money he can make more moviews which is what he's done.

  • 552 people still thinking that they will be billionaires someday.

  • Capitalism is finished. Just keep following the Occupy campaign across America.

  • @XUltra00 Everything you and Michael speak of is NOT Capitalism, it is CORPORATISM. Michael was even called out on it and admitted he was WRONG.

Get it STRAIGHT. CORPORATISM is your enemy NOT Capitalism. Big difference, VERIFY IT.

Do people no longer verify information disseminated to them?

  • love paper planes in the background fitting for this film

  • Michael Moore is a capitalist and doesn't even know it or refuses to admit it!!

  • WHATS THE NAME OF THE SONG?!!?

  • @Snoggo55 I believe it's M.I.A - paper planes

  • @reny78 Thanks man :D

  • why when ppl say socialism they think of nazi, many use it doesn mean they kill ppl using it. (of course war faring nation doens apply here)

  • I never liked Michael Moore, a lot of people have a problem with him. But he's got something right with this movie, a true capitalist system should be the best and brightest making money off good ideas and inventions, not slimeball CEO's making tons of money for fucking with the middle class!

  • great movie. I don't think capitalism is bad in itself..(I would rather say neo-capitalism) it was built on good principles. But the banks, all over the world, just transformed it. Finance and greed are destroying our society...it's time for all of us to return to the real economy in order to make our countries grow again. greetings.

  • google PCB Anniston AL. ,,,,,,,,,,30,000 at risk of slow and painful death this is the big 911 of all ever told and then forgotN Don't Let This happen To Your Town! Fine out what happen when they grew toxic GMO corn in the Philippines. Philippine Crusade Against GMO !

  • tacos give me the shits

  • Gotta love conservatives. Attacking people with words they don't even know the meanings of like "Socialist", or "Communist". Namecalling, insults, attacks, but no real substance or logic. Michael Moore just exposes what Republicans don't want people to think about.

  • Moore makes me SICKKKKK!!!!!

  • @HaggenPagan26 You mean "SICKO" He makes me sick to. He keeps referring to Capitalism when it is CORPORATISM. He was called out on this and admitted he was wrong. What a douche. Now we have millions of Americans chanting anti Capitalism statements, when they should be chanting anti Corporatism. Sadly those sheep don't even bother to verify what they have been told, only to mindlessly regurgitate what they've heard.

  • I got ten more bags.. ten milion probably wont fit in there... xD

  • I think wallstreet is doing these comment...lol..wallstreet are leaches.

  • Michael Moore is a whore cause he would have you all believe that its capitalism

instead of telling the truth thats it NEO CAPITALISM. Americans are truly MORONS

  • @WarDogLRS I agree that our current Capitalist system in America can be described as Neo-Capitalism because it is so different than it was many years ago. However, how do we know that it wasn't Capitalism's natural course that lead to our current "Neo-Capitilist" system, and would potentially always lead to that even if it was reset.

  • @MrDebateGuy America is not Capitalist, we are Corporatist. Big difference and Moore even admitted that Capitalism was not titled correctly.

Corporatism, Corporatocracy, Plutocracy are not your friends...Capitalism should be a love story. To bad we don't have much of it for the mega corporations...Capitalism that is. Seems we let the little guys go bankrupt.

  • @EndTheFedRes I think that my main point wasn't really responded to. I was claiming that it was Capitalism itself that lead to Neo-Capitalism (or Corporatism), and that it always will lead to that. There is no amount of restrictions that can prevent that. The open-market is simply to easy to abuse, and always will be.

  • @MrDebateGuy If we made a couple Constitutional amendments we could end all of this and make America prosperous again.

    1. SCOTUS has ruled over, and over that money=speech. Lets end ALL lobbying good, bad no matter, BAN ALL lobbying.

    2. Term limits (put an end to this career politician/lifetime benefits thing)

    3. ALL elections should be "web" based. Giving candidates "equal footing" and sponsored by ONLY the government.

Take the money out of politics. Return our CAPITALISM.

  • @EndTheFedRes I agree with your amendments, however I don't think it would be nearly enough to stop Capitalism from leading down this same road we are in now. It wouldn't do anything to stop big corporations from completely dominating the smaller competition (which ironically Capitalism need to succeed). True competition will never exist in Capitalism, and the exploitation of human rights by the big corporations will never end under Capitalism.

  • @MrDebateGuy If we had real Capitalism then big corporations would buy up the competition, yes. In doing so they are also paving the way for "entry" new competition. When profits get to high from having a monopoly/duopoly, etc, more people want in, thus more competitors compete for the money.

What we currently have is Corporatism/Crony Capitalism. Thats when some of these corporations lobby our government to write favorable laws, get government contracts, and help keep competition out.

  • @EndTheFedRes Yes, the big corporations do buy up the competition and that does create new entry competition, I agree. The thing that you overlooked, is that it would simply happen again. What would make the new competition less likely to sell out to the big corporations then the last small competitor? Nothing; therefore it will and has simply repeated, and the big corporations live on and always will under Capitalism.

  • @MrDebateGuy Big corporations will always exist...no matter what kind of "ism" is in charge. Under Capitalism at least competition would consistently create competition (everyone wanting a piece). It would be a continuous cycle...big corporations buying smaller ones; prices go up; new competition comes in; prices go down. The electronics industry is an excellent example of this...TV's, cell phones, computers. But not Intel, AMD, MS, MAC, lol thats Corporatism.

  • @EndTheFedRes I guess we simply don't agree, if you can still say that big corporations continuously buying small ones is somehow any form of "competition" rather than the lack of competition. Also, prices don't go down when new competition comes in because the new competition gets bought out, like we both agreed on.

  • @MrDebateGuy No no I do agree with you...to a point. Bigger business buy up smaller ones, which helps eliminate the competition. However the business (being closer to a monopoly) will inevitably drive the prices up (to pay for acquisitions/greed), thus new competition will enter driving costs back down. You bring up a valid point, but when a monopoly makes too much money, its an incentive for competition to naturally spring up. Now if we just had some Capitalism here in the US lol

  • @EndTheFedRes So all big businesses have to do to maintain the monopoly is lower their prices when new competition comes in, and they can lower it lower than the small businesses can. Then they raise it once the small competition fails. Rinse and repeat.

  • @MrDebateGuy Remember big businesses have "big overhead", competition will naturally find its way in (if money is to be made). Currently the resistance to competition lies in Corporatism, and Crony Capitalism. It is our own government standing in the way to help ensure these monopolies when they should be doing the exact opposite. It is not uncommon for a small competitor to unseat a large competitor, but it is also not uncommon for larger corporations to buy smaller ones.

  • @EndTheFedRes It seems we are saying the same things back and forth over and over. At this point, it might be better to move it to an audio format. If you are interested in debating in this topic, I am currently seeking people to debate/discuss me on Skype or similar and then put it on my YouTube channel. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in doing.

  • @MrDebateGuy Thats just great...perfect timing lol. Just installed skype in "old" computer, not to sure how well it will work lol. Will have to learn a couple of things in order to use it.

You are sensible and I would be glad to have an "adult" conversation with you about Capitalism. Lets educate one anothern and actually LISTEN to each other. It is my belief that, THAT is the problem. No one listens to the other party. Anyways PM me. We can work out the details.

  • The only ones who aren't successful in Capitalism are the leeches, ignorant, and lazy people of society.

  • @RayWillliamJohnnsonn and the ones who are discriminated against, the forgotten, those who are different than what capitalism is after.

"The twentieth-century consumer economy has produced the first culture for which a beggar is a reminder of nothing." ~John Berger

  • @aftermathkayg If you can't get hired why don't you start your own business or invent something? The problem is you rely on others all the time.

  • Come on, yankees, if even Roman Empire collapsed why does not have to collapse "American Empire"? Next superpower will be China.

  • @Francesko263 Not a chance, China has every disease that is plaguing American like Institutional corruption and capitalist exploitation. Plus, China don't even has a constitution that unites the people and upholds the country, its political power is simply acquired with swindle and the barrel of a gun. And the people, intoxicated by nationalist zeal, do believe their government propaganda that they can be some kind of superpower at the cost of their human right and social equality.

  • @Francesko263 nah your wrong.

  • @Francesko263 Dream on for your "have to collapse"...and China will be as much of a superpower as Nazi Germany was destined to be..if you get the irony.

  • @bangalorebully I donì't dream a collapse...US have to act in a multipolar world.

  • @Francesko263 It is my belief the "collapse" is already here. The US has been collapsing since late 1999.

  • @EndTheFedRes USA are a great power but they have too much debt

  • @Francesko263 Don't knock our number one export. Our next largest export...jobs. It's funny to hear people talk about possible collapse when in the US we have;

Record unemployment, record foreclosures, record debt, record bankruptcies, record number of people on food stamps, bank closures every Friday, and now mass protesters out in the street.

Yet many of us believe we are in a "recovery" because the media says so. Talk about propaganda. People in the US can NOT think for themselves.

  • @EndTheFedRes US do have huge energy supplies (oil, gas) and raw material than any other country

  • @Francesko263 Yes, but our EPA makes sure we import all of our gas, and other energy. People will wake up when their wallets are empty, and they are hungry.

  • @Francesko263

check how much of our oil is imported...

  • SHED MOORE LIGHT ON KOCH BROTHERS !

  • michael moore is a complete idiot

  • @TheMomy791 hes actually a capitalist himself...lol uber Idiot he is.

  • @TheMomy791, and what are you ???

  • A credit default swap is when a banker runs up a huge tab on your credit which then defaults, that then the banker swaps you for the real assets and you are allowed to pay off the accumulated debt with your labor for the rest of your life.

This is with government collusion & force, so it is extortion, fraud & plunder.

  • @FreedomInAmerica I have seen those videos before I even saw the movie, and I still agree with most of the things in this movie. The problem is the name of the movie. I don't think U.S.A lives in capitalism, or that he is criticizing capitalism though he uses the word capitalism. I think he is criticizing fascism, where the U.S.A is right now. Capitalism is dead, and will never return. We need reformation, and a better government. Those are dream though. In reality, U.S.A is kinda fucked.

  • UUUHHHH maybe you should be more clear in your message. Who would you like to run the country, and do it for free?

  • I understand what you wrote. I happen to be a nurse for 15 years now, and I still disagree with you. Material things don't mean luxury items. They are things necessary to survive, and feed and educate your children. Not all of us can be social workers, nurses, or God forbid a "caring" doctor. I help and share what I have and I am active in my church. I believe I should be able to help my family, and extended family before I am forced to help others for my hard work.

  • the indisputable fact, is that capitalism is driven solely based on human greed. it's what makes capitalism work, and it's what causes it to fail. nevertheless, with greed comes corruption; a price that we have always been willing to pay for a free market society. so bitch all you want. i suppose that's the american way.

  • @icwutudidtharlulz Capitalism is driven solely based on human greed? That's a fact or your opinion, if fact could you show me or tell me where you got that "fact"? Yes, free market!!! I'll bitch and you bitch and that's what does make a great America.....We can work hard, and strive to make a financial future for ourselves, in this country.....now if we make it we have to share with lazy people, people that don't have our ambition, or people that aren't here legally or pay taxes.

  • I don't know what to say other than I enjoyed this movie. We need a change but we can't expect or rely on one person we put into office to give it to us or just sit around and wait for it to happen.

  • @crazyhypergurl Can't depend on one person, ESPECIALLY THE ONE IN OFFICE NOW!

  • We need a spiritual revolution.

  • Well in other words. People worry and argue too much about money. Materialism isn´t the most important. Spirituality is much more important. You can buy useless stuff but you can´t buy no spirit, heart, soul or love. We worship the wrong things in the world. When materialism is our leader we follow its evil ways of destruction, lying, fraud, jealousy and murder. Like Jesus already preached about, share the wealth, give to the poor, do not worship material, collect heavenly treasures.

  • @royalsteven We argue about money and worry about material things, because that's how we eat, have shelter, clothing and educate ourselves. Unless you leave it in God's hands....I don't think he would like us sit around doing nothing and receiving from those that do work hard. I have a great deal of love, heart, soul, and spirit and I didn't buy it! I bought my home, clothes, children's education at a Christian private school, and at the same time supported losers and illegals who don't share!
