Yesterday I read a newspaper piece whch implied that our government was Stalinist like in its policies and that their boast of a Big Society was no more than an empty slogan. I thought yes!
I wonder how many times Nick Clegg watches this and thinks to himself 'what sort of idiot do I look like!'
'Ive had to change policies I said we wouldn't back down on, I've had to act very obviously as a puppet minister'. 'It has to be obvious to everyone in the Cabernet and the general public that I've been made to look like an absolute idiot by a party that I am supposed to be in a coalition with!'
'what a prat I've been!!!!'
He must think that a lot because every one I know thinks he look
Tweedledee and Tweedledum are both lying bastards. May all your kids die so you dont put them through what you put average people through ...... TWAT
In response to these comments, you are of course correct. One thing you must remember is,that there are powerfull people that control gov,s,and they have their own agenda. They tell politicians what will happen,in other words they say,you will do as your told.
What a nice pair of lying scumbags....6 months on,and they have already renaged on the promise not to increase student fees.Fortunately for Cameron he has ducked this issue, but Cleggs political career is over.I do hope the next 4years go quickly,so we can boot out both these partys for good !!
whats great about great britian?? NOTHING... what i dont understand is that if a government wants to stay in power why doesnt it listen to the people, the primeminister is a servant and nothing more, he was put there instead of a monarch to serve the people, yet that fact has been lost, if the people want to leave the EU, its the people choice, if the people want to leave afghanistan its the peoples choice!! give us what we want and as a government theyll never lose an election.
@steve4presedint So should we have no taxes if thats what the people want? If we gave the people exactly what they wanted we might as well have official anarchy. A government can't always deliver all its promises due to conflicting priorities, the coalition is a perfect example of this; they can't deliver on some promises because of the huge defecit Labour left the country with. The Politics needs to be a process of compromise, consensus politics is the future.
@roryjimm Oh come on, everyone understands the need for taxes, yes we dont want them but as a people we understand, i dont mind tax, thats fine helps the country work, but why should we join the EU, or go to war, or give billions in aide without a say, thats not their money its ours, obviously you cant expect the people to decide how the generals spend tha MOD budget but i like to think the people should decide the non crucial factors, tax is crucial, 1000% increase for example (just using...
@roryjimm ... a random figure) isnt crucial and therefore if a government wanted to increase tax by 1000% it should be brought to the people, the EU, lovely idea, cheap imports and stuff, crucial?? no, the people should decide, afghanistan, was americas problem to start with, they got attacked not us, is it crucial for us to join in? NO, good example is the current situation in north korea, if the americans go to war (touch wood) its possible cameron would follow, hes that shallow and that...
@roryjimm ... slimey, would a war with the NKPR crucial? not in a million years, but if he decided to join america we wouldnt get a vote on it, and thats where democracy has gone mad, its basicly a democracy every election and then untill the next election its a dictatorship, we have a say in trivial things, nothing major, some piped up private school boy thinks he can run a country because his mummy and daddy are rich, the common people of britian no 100 times more about whats really...
@roryjimm ... going on in the streets than cameron, hell id make a better primeminister, this countries needs to remember its ideals, a primeminister should understand that their the people servant, for all intensive purposes a primeminister should be at the bottom of the social ladder, and the problem is they walk in from rich distant background from britian and try to run a country. Its like our nations lead by a fish monger who suddenly tries to rocket scientist, were a joke, nothing more.
@steve4presedint Yes but we live in a representitive democracy. At the election our counrty voted for what they wanted and the result was a hung parlaiment. They can't then go and complain when they realise we don't live in a perfect world where everything is posible. I take it from your socialist argument you are a Labour supporter, but in this modern day there isn't enough time to have everyones say all the time. We elect (supposedly) intelligent people to parlaiment to represent our interests
@roryjimm hell if the politicians were fair and honest and truelly had our best intrests in mind then i wouldnt be demanding the people had a say, and tbh i was conservative up untill the election and then yet again the torys prove that theyre only in it to line their pockets as are labour and libdem, this country just needs an honest primeminister, as i said our leaders have forgotten their orginal purpose.
@steve4presedint I think thats a very bold sweeping statement. I am related and have worked for an MP and he genuinley cares about his constituency and works tirelessly on their behalf. Its also important to remeber that no one goes in to politics to purposely fuck us all over, they all go in thinking they are doing the best thing to help the country and it people, but its not as easy when you get inside. I intend to bring honesty and people back into politics, the county needs genuine change.
@roryjimm No, rich boys go into politics not having spent a day in the life of a Britsh citizen, their world is different to ours, they say they understanf what we go through yet they havent got the faintest idea. If the economy was threatening their pay cheques and manor houses you bet theyd focus and have it sorted in seconds. The people resent the government because their arrogance and foolishness makes the people look bad. You cant bring honesty if you dont know the truth...
@steve4presedint Again thats tarring them all with the same brush like that quite utterly stupid expression - 'They're all as bad as eachother'. Besides they got elected, people must clearly agree with them? Also MPs arent paid huge sums of money for the amount of hours they work (im not saying they should be paid more) and do remeber they are human beings, its the civil sercice robots that entagle the web of red tape. You can have honesty from the uncertain with greater transparency and forum.
@roryjimm I can bet a 1million pound no one expected the tories to do what theyve done, a good image for it would be trying to amputate an infected limb with a grenade. Theyve completely suprised people and not in a good way, labours back in lead (on the polls) whic suggests people arent happy. And i can tarnish them all with the same brush because over nearly 2 decades this country has been run by jokes, and they are all as bad as eachother and untill a good honest PM is produced im...
@roryjimm ... the vast majority of the population will agree with me. Were a joke on international scales. Atleast Brown was making progress whilst sustaining what we had, now were joing the french for gods sake. SPending billions on aircraft carriers and then a few after theyre built were getting rid of one to keep the french De Gaulle which is nothing compared to the Queen Elizabeth class.
I still believe in Nick - don't for one minute think he is in the coaltion to taste power, he is there because he want to deliver fairness and to create order from the chaos of Labour. I don't care what the media decide to attempt to indoctrinate us with - he may not have done the best thing for the liberal Democrats, but he has done the best thing for the country.
The Liberal Democrats are a bunch of populist demagogues. Before the election, they claimed to oppose the war in Iraq but are not supporting it. They promised to freeze and eventually abolish university tuition fees, but have now trebled them. They pledged a referendum on proportional representation, but now champion the Alternative Vote. On a whole range of issues, the Liberal Democrats are like chocolate teapots.
Sell out, 'we will never raise university fees' what's happening. I will end my A levels and be joining a uni in the next few years, but now i have a life time of debt to deal with because he is a spineless, weak, right wing sell out. It tells me that the only party i can rely on as a young person is Labour, and all because he couldn't resist the carrot dangling in front of his face. Donkeys cant leave the carrot, and Mr Clegg, you are, quite simply, an Ass.
By allowing the Liberal Democrats to gain a foothold, the Conservatives have destroyed their own party. I predict that after the next election, a merger will be formed. Both parties are the same and if differences arise, they are more than happy to cave in to each other.
@newagemisfit No, they have already formed a merger in all but name. The official decision has yet to be made, but it is only a matter of time. Liberal Democrat MPs are the most unprincipled people in politics today, for if Labour had won more seats than any other party then they would now be in a coalition with them rather than the Conservatives. That's the point I'm making.
The Liberal Democrats have not "lost our soul" by going into coalition with the Conservatives, party leader Nick Clegg has said!!
Sorry Clegg but no one in a million years thought LibDems would side with Tories..you let people down and your party has lost all credibility your finished, I enjoy every minute of it you jumped up little shit.
Are you aware LIB DEMS's are responsible for turning a historical building in Burnley into an all muslim boarding school for HUNDREDS a go from pakistan after they close all the others..
Nick Clegg a lying cunt, David Cameron a lying cunt too who say will help people what a fucking lair cunt, Look what they done now and I believe there will be war against these 2 so called cunt
I rallied around and told all my friends to vote Liberal Democrat - they were, I thought, our only hope. The Tories and Nick Clegg are a shame to democracy. They are just a group of self seeking mates, all from the same club who think they are having a laugh with the public who they think are totally stupid. Nick I thank you for making us all give up on democracy and with the Liberal Democrats.
